DYK for Shmap'n Shmazz

edit

On 9 April 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Shmap'n Shmazz, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tim Kinsella made most of the lyrics for Cap'n Jazz's only album, Shmap'n Shmazz, during his first experience with psilocybin mushrooms? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Shmap'n Shmazz. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Shmap'n Shmazz), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

About your recent edits

edit

Hey 49p! Thanks for your recent contributions, but I noticed you've been making some edits with AutoWikiBrowser that might not align with the bot policy. In general, it's not advisable to make cosmetic changes to the source of a page if it will have little to no effect on its display. For example, you unnecessarily bypassed a redirect here and made trivial changes to blank spaces here. General fixes like these are perfectly acceptable as long as they're bundled in the same edit as constructive changes, such as the duplicate reference cleanup you did here. Also, I'd recommend that you leave more informative edit summaries that describe your actions on the page, as that reduces the time other editors have to spend reviewing your work. Let me know if you have any questions! TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 23:44, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Significant coverage

edit

Hello! I wanted to leave you a reminder about significant coverage in sources. Generally, a subject should only have its own article if there are sources about it with significant coverage beyond announcements or simple mentions. They also have to be independent of the subject. I looked at Everyone Asked About You, and it seems that the sources are mostly routine announcements or things published by the studio itself. For articles like this, it would be helpful if there were some sources that go more in depth. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of this. Thanks for everything you've contributed to Wikipedia so far! Thebiguglyalien (talk) 02:08, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, this one has sources but most of them are offline that aren't connected to the label. It's definitely has notability but most of it is hidden within magazines like other alternative-ish bands (e.g. Strictly Ballroom (band), which survived an AfD). I will be adding them soon after I get time, thanks for notifying me. 49p (talk) 18:02, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
