Flags

edit

I'd be grateful if you would stop adding flagicons etc to infoboxes, duplication isn't an improvement. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 11:08, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

It does allow users to see at a glance which side the commanders were on and does make the infobox clearer Crecy1346 (talk) 11:16, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
In addition, many articles have flagicons to indicate the allegiance of the commanders so it seems fit to expand that to articles that have yet to be updated Crecy1346 (talk) 11:29, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

August 2022

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Great Northern War, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. I don't know if you missed it or what, but you added a link to the battle of Narva when it was already linked in the lead a few sentences before. TylerBurden (talk) 11:10, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Guillaume Emmanuel Guignard, vicomte de Saint-Priest, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Battle of Reims. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ancient Egypt

edit

You undid an edit I made on the Ancient Egypt page. The page uses the BC dating system, exlcuding two instances of BCE which randomly appear in the middle of the page. I've checked the page history and the BC style was the first to be used and has predominated since. It seems strange from a stylistic standpopint to have two random instances of BCE in the middle of the page. My understanding of the WP:ERA is that the system which is used first takes precedence and that a consistent style should be used throughout an article, which in this case is BC. My edit is in line the WP:ERA and there doesn't seem to be a valid reason to have reverted my edit. It would be appropriate for the edit to be restored. Theworks84 (talk) 13:15, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello TheWorks84. Thank you for alerting me to my mistake. I was used to the convention of using BCE and did not familiarise myself with WP:ERA. You are free to restore your edit Crecy1346 (talk) 13:55, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
No problem. Thanks for coming back to me. Theworks84 (talk) 14:44, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Bianca Bustamante

edit

You changed an image on Bianca Bustamante and I have to disagree with the choice, I chose not to use this image due to the motion blur, washed out colours and the amount of chromatic aberration that can be seen on this image when compared to the other. Is there any reason why this image is preferable apart from seeing the drivers helmet more? SSmef (talk) 21:20, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

The only reason i changed it was since the helmet was more visible. Change it if you see fit. Crecy1346 (talk) 21:25, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Understandable
That was one of the reasons I would've picked it but when you compare that similar perspective image from other drivers like Pulling's the quality seems significantly worse on Bustamante's.
Which in the end is why I picked the other in hopes we get a better helmet shot of Bustamante in the coming races. SSmef (talk) 21:28, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited James Chester (cricketer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wimbledon.
