Image Tagging Image:Bwv 540 2.gif

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Bwv 540 2.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 08:42, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Fvj jason makeup.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Fvj jason makeup.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

If you are referring to the film page, I removed them because they are unencyclopedic for a movie article. Apparently there wasn't enough consensus with regards to the deletion of a list of deaths, so you can find all your deaths here: List of deaths in the Friday the 13th series.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  12:39, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unencyclopedic because they don't hold any value in a list form. The concept is notable, because F13 has had its run-in with the MPAA for every film, minus the first one, but there is no value in just listing every death in every film. Wikipedia should not be a substitute for watching the film. There was already a recent AfD on that List article, and there was not enough votes either way to determine what would happen to it, so it reverted back to what it is. As for the boxes, see Wikipedia:Userboxes. It should explain how to create your own, if not then just come back and I'll show you.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  13:07, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Not the appropriate place to ask, but to answer you, you could probably find all your needs at [1]

It generally has a lot of information. A lot of information that wouldn't be relevant to an encyclopedia, but to the more diehard fans.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  16:57, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a hyper link to it?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:37, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'll look at it, and try to help with it. I don't think that I'll have time to be anything more than a helpful hand to it. I'm not that familiar with the rules of Wikia either, but I want to say that it's less restrictive than Wikipedia, at least for content sake. It's something that you'll have to do some research one. I'm still busy with fixing this article, and the Jason character himself. I'm finally gotten to the end of the second book, so I should be able to start getting Jason focus info for that here soon.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:44, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wow, I hope you are good with HTML. lol. If you are unsure how to proceed, I would suggest going to some of the other Wikia's and asking for some help, preferably one that appears to be well formatted.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:58, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I like Jason better.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:27, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
There was a change in the Film article guidelines. Cast sections are no longer mandatory, and tables are just about outlawed nowadays (unless it is really the best possible option). Halloween and Jaws don't use cast sections, and they are featured. The way I'm working on the article in my sandbox, we won't need it because I have an entire section devoted to "Casting", which will also include some of the minor characters that aren't mentioned in the plot.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 19:26, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, forgot to answer you last question. Type 4 tildes, that's (~) this key...minus the parantheses of course. Hold shift and press the button to the left of the number 1 key. If you type it 4 times, then you get your name and date. If you type it 3 times then you just get your name; 5 times you just get a date. So, at least do it 3 times, and try and remember not to do it 5 times.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 17:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jason Moore, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jason Moore is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jason Moore, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:51, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey--you left a note on my talk page and the article's talk page about the speedy delete request. I think you need to add the hang-on tag to the article page itself in order to slow down the process. Addere 21:54, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • I don't control the bot and I'm not an admin. I've nominated the article for deletion because of the copyright violation. I just looked at the page again. I think you need to put the hang-on tag on the article page rather than on the talk page. Another thing to consider is to re-write the article. That's likely to take less time than waiting on the BBC to respond to your query. Addere 22:03, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you uploaded Image:Toccata 540.GIF, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and, for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image and you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.

This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.

If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}}. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.

If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, and cannot make the image compliant with Wikipedia:Non-free content, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week. All other non-free images must follow these rules.

Please feel free to contact me on my talk page or leave a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions with any questions you may have. Thank you. Aksibot 07:44, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Freak out.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Freak out.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aaron Pepin’s Worst movie ever awards-

Pulse (Full of cliché’s, a stupid/predictable plot, lame acting, etc.)

Meet the Spartans (Not funny, absolutely NO story, and the humor is just a poor man’s version of Family Guy’s parody techniques, and an insult to good statistical movies; simply a cheap cash-in of current films at the time.)

Halloween: Resurrection (Disappointment to horror fans everywhere. Ridden with stupid, pop-characters, this film is aimed towards (and written by) people who don’t know s**t about real horror, or good movies)

Spice World (I don’t remember much about this movie, but I remember how pointless, and sellout it was. But hell, the sPiCe GuRlZ don’t care about selling out, do they?)

And the winner is… MEET THE SPARTANS

“These Spartans have more hair on their Chests than they do brains In their heads.”

“Meet the Spartans,” epitomizes, embodies, and is nothing short of the title- “a flat-out embarrassment.” This film was an embarrassment to the viewers; an embarrassment to the writers, an embarrassment to the innocent films being “parodied” (destroyed, actually,) an embarrassment to the random pop-culture references, and an embarrassment to the already embarrassing franchise. The franchise has already released a movie known as “disaster movie.” I’m just glad I didn’t waste my money on that movie like I did this. I was with my ex the day Meet the Spartans came out, (I’m not going to put the film title in quotes, it doesn’t deserve to) and, originally as planned, were going to watch the very good film “Sweeny Todd.” But due to some “divine intervention,” we decided to view “Meet the Spartans,” ohh, I mean, meet the Spartans, instead. Now, I have heard of these other films (Date Movie, Epic Movie, etc.) and had no idea that this film was created, I mean, thrown together by the same people who made the aforementioned, so I had no idea what I was in for. Never before had I felt like walking out of a movie theater. I actually got up at one point, but I was like “nah.” I wish I did. (Spoilers ahead, not that it matters…) Now for the story… Hmmmm…. I find it very hard to review a film that has no point, but I’ll give it a try. Take the very basics of the “300,” storyline, add random 2008-2009 pop-culture references at any standout, or memorable point in the movie that coincides with the “300,” film, and there you go. The epic battle that happened in “300” was degraded into a dance off, and a “your-mom-off.” The giant beast that brought the Spartans in “300” to a halt is now a giant robot that displays Chris Crocker going “leave Brittany alone!” on a screen. The robot is stopped because it travels too far and gets unplugged… You read it right…

Yes, I know the “film” was dumb, and it is pointless to review a stupid film as such, but THIS film was so devoid of any logic, comprehension, or direction that it makes films like “Ballistick, Ecks vs. Sever” (I don’t care if I spelt that right) seem like a aesthetic, and artistic masterpiece in comparison, and even the most rudimentary senses of humor or comprehension seems too much for these hacks.

As for the DVD, don’t get it. You didn’t see it in theaters, too bad, it’s your benefit; don’t ruin your chances now. My parents bought it for like, fifteen f***ing bucks. I told them they could have spent that money on something more useful and meaningful, such as pet rocks, fruit rollup printers, snuggies, a shamwow, more cigarettes, etc. There are like, two things I can think of that you can get out of the Meet the Spartans DVD: it can work as a drinking game; whenever something stupid happens, you and your buddies have to take a sip of beer, you would be guaranteed completely f***ing s**tfaced the next day. It can also serve as a Frisbee, so you can spend time with your family. So for the love of god (I’m atheist… )-: ) do not get this movie. In the name of all good movies, download “Meet the Spartans” illegally, burn DVD copies, and give them to all your friends, because every cent you give to these guys, the more movies they will make, and the more society crumbles.

Of course, I’m having my ball sack lashed at by my peers as they read this, defending this movie. One of them out of nowhere even said Vida Guerra “isn’t that hot.” It’s a shame.
