Kami (file annotation) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Kami (file annotation), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A note regarding categories

edit

Please do not add religion, ethnic, or descent categories or information to biography articles without first ensuring that the category is supported by reliably sourced article content and it is a defining characteristic of the individual. Please see WP:BLPCAT, WP:EGRS, and WP:CATDEF for additional information.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 14:54, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Okay. I apologize and I will know better next time. Amadeus1928 (talk) 02:18, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Divine Comedy in popular culture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ugolino and His Sons. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I just fixed the disambiguation. Amadeus1928 (talk) 11:42, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Porgy and Bess

edit

Can you please advise as to how you got the impression that the film was found? I can't find any indication of that. Coretheapple (talk) 19:18, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

On the Lost Media Wiki's home page, the notice board showed a list of newly found lost media. I saw one for the Porgy and Bess movie, but when I came back to find the link, it was deleted.
The entire movie is available on the Internet Archive, however. It was uploaded on August 22, 2022. Amadeus1928 (talk) 01:07, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
A pieced-together version was shown at Lincoln Center a few years ago. I think maybe that's what we're talking about here. The solution is to mention that with specificity rather than say if it was rediscovered or whatever. I'm surprised it's not in the article already. Coretheapple (talk) 22:27, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Note what I added to the article. There are slight contradictions between the Hollywood Reporter and NY Times articles, which I tired to reconcile as best I could. For instance, in one article it is described as "lost" and in the more recent one "virtually lost." By the same person, I think. Coretheapple (talk) 23:25, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay then that makes sense. I apologize for any previous confusions and errors. Amadeus1928 (talk) 08:43, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh gosh, no problem at all. Glad to see interest in that article. Have you see the film in a theater? Man it is stunning. I saw one of the revivals. Coretheapple (talk) 19:11, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I haven't watched but I have considered watching it on the Internet Archive some time. Amadeus1928 (talk) 05:25, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
