Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Syria wildfires

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Syria wildfires requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.syriahr.com/en/348136/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Talk:2024 Syria wildfires, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Template:2024 wildfires, you may be blocked from editing. Theroadislong (talk) 19:33, 2 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Wildfires in Turkey into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:05, 2 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, as you did at Cocoa bean, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Zefr (talk) 05:20, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

How am I promoting anything I provided a source. Andrewworley048 (talk) 05:22, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I changed it, should be okay now. Andrewworley048 (talk) 06:40, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, as you did at Cocoa bean, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Codename AD talk 06:47, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am not spamming I am editing an article. Tell me how I am spamming so I may correct it. Andrewworley048 (talk) 06:50, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
The external link you're including, is spam. Also you're engaging in edit warring. I recommend that you go to the talk page of the article to discuss your changes. Codename AD talk 06:53, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

There is no reason for me to be blocked, I provided sources and accurate facts. I have been accused of Edit Warring, spamming & vandalism since I came on here and have done none of this infact I made changes to comply with the rules on here therefore no reason for me to be blocked it is unfair and request to be unblocked. Andrewworley048 (talk) 15:27, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am deleted my account now since firstly I asked was my edits okay and you never got back to me I was willing to make changes but you refused to give feedback.
There was nothing wrong with the sources I provided and I leaves me disappointed with my experience here.
Finally since coming on here I have been accused of edit warring, spamming and vandalism which I don't know what some of these words mean not a good look someone new comes on to contribute and you accuse the person of doing all.
Well I have had enough I am deleting my account. Andrewworley048 (talk) 15:43, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
