Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Arcadia School

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Arcadia School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Note regarding your edit

edit

Please do not remove tags, like you did in this edit, without resolving them. In that edit, you removed the tag "refimprove" without actually improving the article's sourcing. Please take note next time. Wolverine XI (talk to me) 16:19, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

O... I am really sorry. I fixed the tone, so I removed the tag. Thank you for notifying me. This will not happen again. Thank you. Annika59 (talk) 19:48, 23 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete references only because they contain dead links, as you did here, because this can harm the verifiability of the article. See Wikipedia:Link rot for details on how to better deal with them. Practically, such links can mostly be tagged as dead, or better, replaced with updated or archived versions. In a nutshell: Steps may be taken to reduce or repair dead external links. Do not remove citations simply because they have URLs which no longer work. Happy editing and keep up the good work! Turtlecrown (talk) 08:35, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you a lot @Turtlecrown. I didn't know about the WP:Link rot. I will learn it and incorporate it in my edits. Thank you so much. Annika59 (talk) 18:20, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Turtlecrown I have restored one of the links and while searching, I did find another one, so I have referenced that as well.
Thanks a lot. For if you won't have mentioned it, I would have not contributed better. Thank you. Annika59 (talk) 19:36, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Misty Blues

edit

Hi Annika59, I just came across your Misty Blues article while reviewing new articles. I added a few references, but more are needed. I suspect they will meet the notability criteria, if only because they have been around a while. That said, please give this guidance a read to learn more about sources. You can find more about notability here. As it stands, the article is subject to deletion. Please ping me if you have any questions, and thanks for writing the article. JSFarman (talk) 03:35, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@JSFarman Thank you so much for your contributution of references. I will definately, Thank you. Annika59 (talk) 17:32, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

She should totally have a Wikipedia article! She has an amazing story, and there's a lot of press on her as a businessperson and as a children's book author. I will keep an eye on the draft but ping me if you need help. Thank you! JSFarman (talk) 17:41, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Misty Blues moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Misty Blues. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 06:01, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ratnahastin I will work on it. Thank you for notifying me. Annika59 (talk) 17:34, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for contributing to the article Draft:Arcadia School. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. Sam Kuru (talk) 03:15, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Annika59. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Annika59. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Annika59|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Sam Kuru (talk) 03:15, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Kuru Hope you are doing well. We can get compunsation for making Wikipedia pages? Wasn't it a scam. I read something on WP:AFC page.
I came across the Arcadia school, and thought it might be a good addition to an encylopedia. I am really sorry. If you could point out the things that gave such impression, I will definately abstain from them. I have tried to follow the policies to the letter, but apparently I haven't done such a good job. I will revise them and will stick to them, that I can assure you.
Thank you for pointing out my mistakes, I have learned more from you then anyone else in the community. Thanks. Annika59 (talk) 00:00, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
