License tagging for File:Pullman 209 extralarge.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Pullman 209 extralarge.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:30, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Apollo the Dog
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Apollo the Dog, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is unambiguous vandalism or an obvious hoax. (See section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please do not introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
- It appears to be about something made up, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - If this is correct, and I suspect it is given your post here, please don't ever do anything like it again. If you'd like to show students how to edit Wikipedia, ensure that the article is a valid encyclopedic entry or, better still, use the Wikipedia:Sandbox or some other kind of training environment. Nick-D (talk) 08:01, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
- Following on Nick-D's comments, if you're interested in having your students productively contribute to Wikipedia, please visit teach.wikiedu.org. Wiki Education is a nonprofit organization that supports more than 400 university courses each term, and we have extensive experience teaching students about Wikipedia and how to make positive contributions as a class assignment. My colleague Helaine (Wiki Ed) can get you started if you need any help. --LiAnna (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:09, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
