Banaticus
←My schedule is packed enough that I'm basically still on wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia in... what's six months from now? On 19 May 2025, perhaps. In the meantime, this is where I'll be, over there in that picture on the left. If you really want me for some reason, you can always email me.

Nomination for deletion of Template:BSA, Western Region, Area 4, Council locations

- Just a note in case I ever look at what happened, I posted on WikiCleanerMan's talk page, asking where the images had been moved to, after I timely responded to the deletion discussion and asked that they instead be moved to my userspace. The question was reverted. I responded that although a person can do what they want with their own talk page, it's generally considered bad form to delete a discussion as generally it's considered to make communication and collaboration more difficult and that too was reverted. I'm now going to pop a chat notice on WikiCleanerMan's talk page just to give a heads-up I'm referencing the prior communication. Banaticus (talk) 12:55, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- You can read the edit summary in reference to my first edit. You can click on the template link that's in the section heading and you'll find it linked in the edit notice. But sadly, you haven't done it because you didn't read my edit summary. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 13:45, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- Per my previous comment, before you reverted it, "The best place to respond to a message is in a response to the message, rather than in an edit summary." I see where the image was moved to -- this was me recording it's kind of a pain to work with you, or for anyone else to follow a conversation you were involved in, as you apparently have the habit of deleting conversations you don't like? Re: Sharpie-gate
editOn September 4, he showed reporters a weather map which had been altered with a Sharpie-brand marker to show the hurricane's track threatening Alabama.
I like your edit, but do we know with certainty that Trump used an actual marker made by Sharpie? Viriditas (talk) 19:22, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
- https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/06/politics/trump-sharpie-hurricane-dorian-alabama/index.html says it was a Sharpie.
- Right, but that's CNN citing the Washington Post, which indeed, as you said, refers to it as a black Sharpie. I wasn't aware the sourcing was so convoluted in the article, so I will try to fix that soon. Viriditas (talk) 22:46, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Check the article, I updated the refs to support your edits directly. Viriditas (talk) 22:46, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- I haven't followed any of the links but it looks good to me! Thanks for updating those! Banaticus (talk) 04:45, 29 October 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 1
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Keurig Dr Pepper, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SEC. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:54, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Adventure West Council Shoulder Patch.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Adventure West Council Shoulder Patch.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:05, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- It's used by a template which is on at least two pages. Note to myself, I responded at User_talk:B#B-bot_needs_to_check_templates_which_use_images_and_what_links_there and posted at Wikipedia:Help_desk#Bot_is_marking_images_for_deletion_because_of_non-use,_but_isn't_following_the_full_chain,_and_there's_not_a_great_way_to_chat_about_it Banaticus (talk) 03:11, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
The article Pacific High School (Pacific, Missouri) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Appears to be a run-of-the-mill school and a google search has failed to find enough to show that this is notable
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. KylieTastic (talk) 17:58, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- I have no idea why I created that page 15 years ago. I lived near Pacific High School (San Bernardino, California) at the time and I think I was trying to disambiguate the school name or something. Anyway, while I feel all schools should at least be listed on Wikipedia, the school is listed on the school district page, so go for it. Someone else can recreate the page if the school is ever notable. Banaticus (talk) 23:55, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Banaticus, I think in those days it was perfectly acceptable and following the norm for the time. It would be nice if all schools where deemed notable, but as the current consensus is that they are not I think it's unfair to keep some while AfC & NPP reject most new ones. It certainly confuses new editors who constantly point to existing articles that don't follow the current guidelines. I did look to see if I could find any sources to help show notability but failed.
