Hello The Herald, love is the language of hearts and is the feeling that joins two souls and brings two hearts together in a bond. Taking love to the level of Wikipedia, spread the WikiLove by wishing each other Happy Valentine's Day, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Spread the love by adding {{subst:Valentine Greetings}} to other user talk pages. |
hello
I would appreciate if you would stop placing holiday messages on my talk page. Me and you have never interacted here on wikipedia to the best of my memory. You are or were Atsme mentor. That just seems meddlesome. I do not wish to seem rude or mean but please do stop.-Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 18:50, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
- HM, that was a rude message. Herald, I love the way you lighten up Wiki, make wonderful holiday message templates and lighten up all Wikipedia with your kind and caring ways, just love it and appreciate it! Put any holiday messages on my page you like. Put two.... Put three ... Put any amounts you want! I am sure Atsme agrees too. Or any of the users that got these lovely messages! (well maybe -1). Keep up the good work! Hafspajen (talk) 23:23, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
- And anyway is not very nice making someone sad who was trying to make something nice. Hafspajen (talk) 03:09, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi there, you must have read the messgae saying to wish just any random person. You are a good editor and I don't know why you do not count yourself (even) as a random person. Just count it and you will agree with me and others. .. Thanks Haffy.. - T H (here I am) 03:16, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- I don't wish to make The Herald sad at all. I think its great that you do this Herald. Wikipedia needs more people like you. However I don't see myself as random because I have common sense. I'm not a random person, I'm not someone you have had a disagreement with, I'm not a good friend, but I am someone who has had a long standing disagreement with someone that you mentor. This is no offense. I don't appreciate the messages due to that. I'm sure, absolutely sure, you did this to bring positivity to this project. Please, kindly to me off your mailing list. Please, kindly cease with the messages. Thank you and have a good day. -Serialjoepsycho- (talk) 03:39, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Software changes this week
- The new version of MediaWiki has been on test wikis and MediaWiki.org since February 11. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from February 17. It will be on all Wikipedias from February 18 (calendar).
- On Wednesday your Meta user page will be shown if you don't have a user page on a wiki. [13] [14] [15]
- You can now change the order of categories in VisualEditor using drag-and-drop. [16]
- In VisualEditor, you now need to make a change before you can "Apply Changes" to citations and templates. [17]
- The way the cursor moves in VisualEditor is changing. Your browser now handles the cursor directly. Most of you will see no change. In right-to-left text, the cursor now moves in a 'visible' rather than 'logical' way. This is like other sites but you may be surprised at first. [18]
Meetings
- The VisualEditor Team had their first public bug triage meeting on February 11. They will post the results on the meeting page. [19]
- You can join the second weekly meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meetings you can tell developers which bugs are the most important. The meeting will be on February 18 at 16:00 (UTC). See how to join. [20]
- You can join a meeting with the developers of the Content Translation tool. It will be on February 18 at 13:00 (UTC). [21]

Metzinger etc.
Hello The Herald. The works of Metzinger are not public domain in their home country until 1 January 2027. Why did you add the Copy to Commons tag on all those images? Am I missing something? Coldcreation (talk) 15:57, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

- Hello again The Herald. I have a request to make: could you change the name of file "File:Jean Metzinger- Femme à l'Éventail, Woman with a Fan (1912).jpg" to Jean Metzinger, 1912, Femme à l'Éventail (Woman with a Fan), oil on canvas, 90.7 x 64.2 cm, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.jpg. This is a standard format for artworks. I've been uploading images with this format for a long time, and am about to upload a large series of artwork images using this format: Name, date, title, medium, dimensions, location. If you place a redirect on the image for now that will be fine. I will go through the articles where it appears and change the file name. Thanks in advance. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Beach 2.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Beach 2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
