I wish you luck in keeping the factoid that you just deleted out of the article. I think it's crazy to include that -- [one of seven cofounders] has a [father] who worked for a [large law firm] that worked with [Enron] -- which proves exactly what? Hello Beth, Thanks for your note on my user page. On the Magdi Allam page, I don't want to sound confrontational. I am sure we can arrive at an acceptable description of his views that will be both accurate and NPOV. No need to get excited about this. I'm just trying to reflect his views accurately. I am also pretty certain that there has been a great deal of criticism written about him in Italian, but unfortunately I cannot access this stuff (that is, until I learn Italian) SelfEvidentTruths (talk) 15:16, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

WASHINGTON – Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republican equating Sonia Sotomayor's supposed empathy with racial bias, was blocked from the federal bench himself two decades ago for making insensitive remarks about the Ku Klux Klan and the NAACP.

The third-term Alabama senator, this week at least, is the face of a party without a clear leader. His role strikes some as hypocritical. But arguably, no one knows more intimately what a political minefield race has been for the GOP.

Nominated by President Ronald Reagan to the federal bench, Sessions, then a federal prosecutor, was attacked by liberals for "gross insensitivity" on matters of race. Notably, he is reported to have joked that the KKK — a violent white supremacist group during much of its history — wouldn't be so bad but for their use of marijuana. The NAACP and the American Civil Liberties Union, he allegedly said, were communist-inspired and tried to force civil rights down people's throats.

Wikipedia Campus Ambassadors wanted in Troy, Alabama

Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you're listed as a Wikipedian in Alabama. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at Troy University, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.

Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).
