Speedy deletion nomination of Night time podcast
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Night time podcast requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 20:28, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Night time podcast, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

November 2016
editHello, I'm McGeddon. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Oak Island have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. The fact that the Night Time Podcast has talked about an article's subject doesn't tell the reader of that article anything new. If they uncovered some new angle, tell us. If they didn't, there's no point mentioning the podcast. --McGeddon (talk) 17:01, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- Before you write anything else, I'd also add that you should keep WP:SELFPUBLISH in mind. If a podcast host or guest makes a statement, it can only be quoted if the speaker is an expert in the field, and the statement isn't about a living person. You should also take a look at WP:COI if you have any personal or professional connection to the podcast. --McGeddon (talk) 17:08, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Doug Weller talk 17:04, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at UFO sightings in Canada. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Please stop promoting your podcast on Wikipedia. McGeddon (talk) 23:37, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
