Welcome!
editHello, BoozAllenBrand, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! GermanJoe (talk) 17:23, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
- Hello BoozAllenBrand, just added a few - hopefully useful - links about Wikipedia editing in general and COI-editing in particular. One quick additional tip: posting change requests as a COI-editor, you can add Template:Request edit on top of such messages to draw more attention from other volunteers to a suggestion (see link for more details). Please feel free to ask or post at WP:Teahouse, if you have any further questions. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 17:27, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
13-SEP-2018 Changes to Symantec article's talk page
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Symantec, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. spintendo 22:26, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Spintendo: Thank you for letting me know. Unfortunately, that was pure novice user error. I had thought I was actually editing the Symantec page. Then realized I forgotten to move from comments to the actual page. I didn't know how to switch it back so I left a note about it. Clearly, I have a lot to learn.
File source problem with File:Fry Booz Hamilton Allen.tif
editThank you for uploading File:Fry Booz Hamilton Allen.tif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 21:32, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- Did you, personally, hold the camera in your hand and click the button to take this photo? If so, you should say it is your "own work". If you did not personally hold the camera in your hand and click the button to take the photo, then we need to have permission from the copyright holder for this photo to be published under the terms of the "Creative Commons Attribution 4.0" license. Please see WP:COPYREQ for a sample letter that you can use to ask for permission. --B (talk) 21:34, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- @B: I represent the company that owns the copyright to the photograph. What additionally do I need to provide to use this photo? Kemples (talk) 16:28, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
- Please see WP:CONSENT. An authorized agent of your company can submit this form to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and that will be sufficient. --B (talk) 15:48, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
