How's it goin? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evan.j.miranda (talkcontribs) 17:00, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey Pete, hope this is the right place to put comments, but I thought you did a good job adding to the affects that bison hunting had on indigenous peoples of the Great Plains. One thing that I noticed while reading your changes and after looking back see the same thing in my writing is still us writing in more of an essay style. I think both of our writing would benefit from more simpler words with and a more encyclopedic tone. Nonetheless, thought you had great contributions that are very needed on that page! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tdugan9151 (talkcontribs) 14:42, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Carleyp, Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contributions.

I made a change to your edit to Treaty of Fort Laramie (1868) to try to make it more like how the Manual of style recommends citations are used WP:Citing sources § Citation style

<ref name="Harjo">{{cite book|title=Nation to Nation: Treaties Between the United States and American Indian Nations. |author=Suzan Shown Harjo|year=2014|work=Nation to Nation|location=Washington D.C.|publisher=National Museum of the American Indian|page=127|isbn=1588344789|accessdate=March 2, 2015}}</ref>

Which appears as

Suzan Shown Harjo (2014). Nation to Nation: Treaties Between the United States and American Indian Nations. Washington D.C.: National Museum of the American Indian. p. 127. ISBN 1588344789. {{cite book}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help); |work= ignored (help)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bison hunting, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Buffalo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
