Women in Red
Hi there, CommanderWaterford, and welcome to Women in Red. You certainly made an outstanding start yesterday with five new biographies of women. Although you seem to be fully aware of all the editing requirements, if you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Primer for creating women's biographies. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:54, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Thank you & improve categories tag
Thank you very much for your kind welcome and very quick approval of my first Wikipedia article.
I have reacted to your addition of a tag advising the improvement of categories by adding more specific categories. Does the tag disappear eventually on its own, or does it need even more categories to disappear, or does it require action on your part or my part?
Best regards, Neatlas (talk) 15:06, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Neatlas: - I removed the tag, it does not remove automatically, any editor can remove it if he has valuable reason to do so. Happy Editing and welcome! CommanderWaterford (talk) 16:59, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

I want to create a page
hello sir. I want to creat an article about (muneer lyati) and i found that it was deleted (by you) is it possible to create it again or it will be deleted. thanks in advance. --Ismail2212 (talk) 10:21, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ismail2212,You must have me confused, I did not delete your draft nor did I edited it - your draft had been deleted by Sysop Deb and was tagged for deletion by JalenFolf, you will need to ask one of them, of course you are free to create a new (better) draft. CommanderWaterford (talk) 10:26, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
thanks for replying but i am not talking about (draft andrea prince) but I am talking about (muneer lyati) which i haven't edited it before. please see again and sorry for disturbing. thanks in advance--Ismail2212 (talk) 11:19, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ismail2212, you will need to be somewhat more precise - I can see in the logs that your user account had not made any edit others than on draft Andrea prince - I cannot find any (deleted) article "munger lyati" nor I came in touch with an article or draft with this name in the past, please notice also that I do not have rights to delete an article so I cannot have deleted it at all. Perhaps you can insert a link to the mentioned article. CommanderWaterford (talk) 11:27, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

i can do it but i want to know why the page was deleted so that i can avoid those mistakes--Ismail2212 (talk) 11:49, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

i will do it

how to sumbit my article for review
hello, i created the page and i want it to be reviewed what should i do ? thanks in advance.--Ismail2212 (talk) 15:19, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Please engage with the NPOV warning you left
Please engage with the unsubstantiated [warning] you have left on my talk page. You have received previous warnings (and even a ban) for being unwilling to engage, and warnings for abusing warning templates in the past. Uses x (talk) 19:22, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Uses x, done. Let me add - it is a welcome message, not any warning at all. CommanderWaterford (talk) 19:30, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
- Your message included "Unfortunately, your edit to 2021 Myanmar Protests does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media". Saying that something doesn't conform to policy is a warning. It may have been a correct warning (I haven't checked, but the correct link seems to be 2021 Myanmar protests) but you must take responsibility for what you say, whether in your own words or by issuing a template. I salute the service of my master Dear friend and teacher, I would like to say that I added 6 other sources from Iran and world news agencies for Masoumeh Jafarzadeh page I hope you, dear master, remove the label However, I thank you very much my dear friend
A7 and schools
You are aware that this is not a school or educational institution, right? It's an organization/non profit that focuses on education but is by definition covered under db-org/corp and thus in the scope of A7. Not only that, it's a copyvio, advertisement and partially a hoax given its copied entirely from the mission statement of a completely different organization. CUPIDICAE💕 14:47, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Praxidicae, your Diff is a dead link. It defines itself as an educational organisation and by means is not eligible for A7. Earwig gave me no Copyvio for it. But by the way I was wondering about your Copyvideo CSD of a 2 sentence article an hour ago or so which has been deleted meanwhile, I was reminded many times that an article so short barely meets CSD G12 criteria. CommanderWaterford (talk) 14:54, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- No, that is not what NORG or NCORP say. A company that focuses on education might consider itself an educational organization but it is not exempt under NCORP or NORG. It wasn't a school and if you did any amount of searching, you'd know that. If you have a problem with my deletion tagging, feel free to bring it up at ANI. CUPIDICAE💕 14:56, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Commander, it's a deadlink because the page was deleted per A7. I would urge you not to remove CSD tags that have been placed by experienced reviewers - better leave it to a patrolling admin to make the determination. Prax is right that the A7 exemption that applies to schools does not extend to any and all organisations that are concerned with children and/or their education. GirthSummit (blether) 13:32, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Girth Summit, if I remember correctly the CSD tag was not placed by Praxidicae, they just noticed my removal and noticed me about my mistake. As you know CSD Tags can be removed by any editor but in general I sure do agree on your advise. I am aware of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Schools/Criteria for Speedy Deletion A7 and after considering his message I do agree. CommanderWaterford (talk) 16:49, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- No, it was placed by another patroller, who is a fifteen-year veteran with the NPP perm - in such cases, I'd advise you to leave it and allow an admin to review. GirthSummit (blether) 16:51, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know anything about this particular case, but I certainly don't agree with that "admin knows best" message. Anyone apart from the article creator can, in good faith, remove a speedy deletion tag, and we have certainly had admins who delete things that are tagged without checking them properly (it was after more than a decade of such abuse being regularly pointed out by me before one particlular admin got defrocked). When there is a good-faith disagreement then WP:AFD is the way to go for anyone who thinks an article should be deleted. Phil Bridger (talk) 17:10, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Phil Bridger, thank you and I, too, do not agree on "admin knows best" since I come across every day with several admins and long-time editors who make a bunch of mistakes, in the end we are all humans and make mistakes (well, abuse is something completely different, of course) but I am sure that this was not what Girth Summit wanted to point out - they both are right, I should not have removed the CSD Tag although I definitely did it in good faith and the idea of being right. CommanderWaterford (talk) 17:22, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Just edit conflicted with you there Commander. Phil Bridger, thanks for your input, but you aren't perhaps aware of the full circumstances - I have for the past few weeks been offering CdrW the odd piece of guidance, as part of an informal arrangement we came to when I unblocked them in January (not all of which has taken place at this talk page). This particular piece of advice, which I stand by as they build up their experience and the trust of the community, is part of that arrangement, and the Commander can take it or ignore it as they see fit. Best GirthSummit (blether) 17:26, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- For clarification, this was unambiguously not a school nor could it be construed as such, hence my comment. The entirety of the article was copied from this source, which was copied in full about a completely unrelated organization, beginning at
gap in urban India between...
and ending atbreak out of the cycle of poverty.

Once again: I know what I have to do. Please, refrain your urge to intervene within seconds after I've finished a translation. Maybe you'd be better inspired to work on articles such as Königliche Kunstgewerbeschule München. There are dozen of thousands of that kind on Wiki. I know your argument about the collaborative encyclopedia, but jumping on a new page is beyond participation, it's bad manners (being polite here). LouisAlain (talk) 09:38, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- LouisAlain, once again - a such experienced editor should be absolutely aware when an article is ready to be published into mainspace - you are frequently publishing not yet finished articles into mainspace and then working on them for hours, tagging them as in use. Instead of giving me advise where to work I suggest improving your recent submissions which have several totally unreferenced sections. CommanderWaterford (talk) 09:42, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Adding references, now that would be a collaborative attitude. LouisAlain (talk) 09:58, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Warning: Three-revert rule
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
- Comment: Nonsense. I asked the Editor to seek for consensus at the talk page which they did not and reverted twice my edits. CommanderWaterford (talk) 09:56, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

- This isn't some sort of game. While I'm inclined to AGF, I think this could be considered harassment of CW. Your thread is also very inappropriate. I advise you withdraw it before it gets snow closed. Firestar464 (talk) 10:21, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Sure. You did several mistakes, beginning by taking it to the wrong forum, ANI is not for EW, not WP:AGF (once again). templating an experienced editor etc etc. but I let this up to an admin what to do with your account. If you have a content dispute the Article talk page is the right place to discuss this, thinking ANI will help you to push by any means your edits is a mistake made quite often. You should have learned from your previous block, that is one the reasons why they blocked you only temporarily. I like to spend my energy on more productive tasks here. CommanderWaterford (talk) 10:27, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Let me give you some advice - you better remove immediately accusing an Editor like WWGB of acting biased. You really need to understand that no one wants to do you any harm but you cannot treat editors like this. Not even 24 hours after your unblock and you are starting again. CommanderWaterford (talk) 10:50, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Request on 18:31:24, 11 March 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Sfournais
Dear Commander
Thank you for your assistance with my recent submission on Jan Philip Solovej. Since there is already a wiki-page on that person in Danish
https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Philip_Solovej
and in German
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Philip_Solovej,
I believe that the subject should meet the criteria of Wikipedia.
So my contribution is really only a brief English version of existing pages. However, it seems that the best way to crosslink to other wiki-pages in other languages is to do so once the page is published (via the wikidata project). Therefore, I am waiting for the page to get published before I do the linking.Sfournais (talk) 18:31, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
Sfournais (talk) 18:31, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Sfournais, I am afraid but in its current state there is no way of approving your draft, please follow the comments given at the Decline. Being published in other editions of Wikipedia does not mean that they will be published in the English one (they have sometimes different guidelines) and furthermore the mentioned ones do have other references than your draft. A Homepage is not a WP:RS. CommanderWaterford (talk) 18:36, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- It is very easy to add some sources to this article about a subject who passes multiple counts of WP:PROF, so I have done so and moved it to main space where it belongs. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:00, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Some years ago I was very active, as you will see of you inspect old backlog drives. I had a several year wikiburnout, so I am by no means as active today. Not much changed here in the several year gap, though. I see symptoms of burnout when very experienced and respected editors suffer indeffing or topic bans. Wikipedia must be fun, otherwise it is like a job that never ends Fiddle Faddle 18:37, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Timtrent, I totally understand you, especially if you see the messages of today running onto my talk page. AfC is a very thankless task, you are making mistakes (890 articles in the last 30 days reviewed, 2 were challenged for AfD, 1 fork and 1 Copyvio overseen) and there will be a reason why so few volunteers actively participate specially with an eye on the long experienced editors. CommanderWaterford (talk) 20:47, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- We are allowed to make mistakes. All we need to do is to view a draft as standing a better that 60% chance of surviving an immediate deletion process. If I comment in an AfD on one of my drafts I tend to make that comment and stay neutral
- We can miss copyvios, but we must not lose sleep over it. Someone else will catch them if we do not. We are just volunteers doing our best Fiddle Faddle 22:33, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

The information I removed from this article was sourced to a blog post which, in addition to failing to meet RS standards, did not actually include any of the stated information. This was not a "sandbox" edit. The reasoning for the removal was included in the edit notes and the removed text was moved to the Talk page specifically so that future reviewers could re-add it if it could be verified. 97.102.30.205 (talk) 20:16, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

Hello Im Globe408 - the reason I deleted the content is because it is all fake information, used to make it look like they own the airline. It was no mistake. Although they were involved with certain aspects in management of the airline in 2017- 2019, they have nothing at all to do with airline now and the content they use. SEAIR International has no connection to XplorAsia at this time. In fact, the original seair page was redirected without any authorization to their page, and the content out of SEAIR International was stripped out. If you feel you need more validation or explanation, feel free to contact me or the airline directly. It would have been good if you caught the initial redirect to begin with. Panocrat
Dear @CommanderWaterford:,
I just noticed, that you declined my draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Panocrat. Please help me, because I'm new to Wikipedia and don't understand the policy and the comments:
A.) You are completely right about the fact, that "google does not know neither this subculture nor the panostern". But please take into consideration that 1. the subculture lived mainly before the WWW was invented or common, so most of the sources are print sources, 2. Even so, the keyword "Panokratie" has 4840 hits (and had over 52.231 hits in 2005) 3. Wayback machines like http://web.archive.org/web/20101106191002/http://forum.panokratie.de/index.php show the former hugeness of this subculture (>6000 entries and > 285 former panocrat members only in this forums).
B.) The first rejection explanation textbox says, that the article "do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject". But if scientific books, published in peer review by the renowned "Springer-Verlag" publishing house are no "reliable sources", what are reliable sources for wikipedia?
C.) The second rejection explanation textbox indicates, that the article "reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article". I tried to maintain a neutral POV and I am unaware of any subjective information in this text, may be I'm wrong. So could you please give me an example, where to improve it?
I would appreciate help and may be a rethinking of the rejection due to the newly given informations! :-)

Hi Commander Waterford, Thanks for noting that my Roberto Velasco Alvarez [1] draft needed inline citations and reliable sources. I've improved the article and added more sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters and other articles by some of the biggest Mexican media outlets. Could you help me review if the draft is okay now? Thanks so much.
Request discussion wrt Draft R2 Sonic
This is addressed to CommanderWaterford
I understand that you have a concern about the depth of some or all of the references in the Draft R2Sonic.
My concern is that while this draft may be of small concern to a global group, it is very important to the non-governmental entities in the global hydrogaphic and environmental community.
The results, of hydrographic and environmental surveying, more so than the means of hydrographic and environmental surveying, are frequently the focus of conference presentations, scientific publications, and articles in industry magazines. Many individuals have heard, or seen, passing references of little more than the model number assigned to a piece of equipment, despite that equipment embodying major technological innovations in multibeam echosounders.
I believe the draft R2Sonic Wikipedia entry, if approved, would fill an existing information gap concerning the existence of multibeam echosounder features which are available and should be considered prior to the proposal phase of any new project related to hydrographic and environmental surveying.
Possibly more importantly it might answer the question as to why large companies (like Kongsberg and Teledyne) who supply hydrographic equipment do have their Wikipedia entry while small companies like R2Sonic are absent.
R2Sonic is a small company with about a dozen employees but what distinguishes it from other companies that manufacture equipment used in hydrographic and environmental surveying is that R2Sonic is a leading source of innovative design, not just a manufacturer of equipment. 20yrHTP (talk) 16:55, 13 March 2021 (UTC) §

Hello, Commander,
First, thank you for all of your work. You have an impressive edit count for someone who's been helping out here less than a year.
Second, when you are tagging stale drafts, please remember to check the edit history. Draft:Traci Callahan was tagged for deletion by you but had been edited earlier today. It was brought to my attention so it was restored but this is just a reminder to make sure the last non-bot edit was at least 6 months ago. Thanks again. Liz Read! Talk! 21:27, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

Undisker - why it's deleted without even reading?
The purpose of this article is to mention one of the oldest disk image tools for Windows (among WinImage or WinISO), mentioend in books from O'Reily and AMedia. It's doubtful who and why deleted the original wiki article from 2006 (without any proposals for improves or cleaning), keeping tons of clones with obvious advertising content (exist even now). But why is it deleted today is totally not understandable, sorry. Is it something personal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DiskxpertDE (talk • contribs) 10:28, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- DiskxpertDE, ? -
No article of you has been deleted. Your draft has been declined and what makes you believe that the Reviewer did not read your draft!? Almost any disk tool had been mentioned in books of O'Reily in this decade. CommanderWaterford (talk) 10:32, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Sorry for being emotional. Things were not that complicated 20 years ago. Speaking about book references - most of modern disk image tools were created after those decade anyway. My goal is more historical than try to be up-to-date. I really don't know what exactly needs to be improved, could you please help me? DiskxpertDE (talk) 11:15, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- DiskxpertDE, I suggest reading the notability guideline for software at WP:NSOFTWARE, you should perhaps more emphasise of presenting that it is (if) the oldest one (and prove it not only by the homepage of the tool itself which clearly is not a WP:RS, if possible). I will further tag it for the relevant Wikiprojects, sometimes you get help from there, too. CommanderWaterford (talk) 11:23, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Thank you! DiskxpertDE (talk) 11:44, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Rollback granted
Hi CommanderWaterford. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Anarchyte (talk • work) 10:57, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for assessments in two of my recent pages. I'm relatively new to wikipedia, but not to private wikis or markdown, and trying to get used to the wide-open (and intriguing, volatile) culture. Updating BRM Definition Help
Hello,
I am attempting to update the definition of Business Relationship Management as it is seen on your page here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_relationship_management As the BRM role and capability has grown and evolved, the definition of BRM has also evolved with the rapidly advancing global community. I work for the BRM Institute, the leading resource and home for BRMs around the globe. The source information is cited from our website here https://brm.institute/
I apologize for missing any steps in this process, I have never edited wikipedia before as I am in administration. We are currently working with Techopedia to update their BRM definitions as well.
Here are the newer updated definitions we'd like to add to the current BRM Wikipedia page.
BRM — Business Relationship Management (BRM) is a philosophy, capability, discipline, and role to evolve culture, build partnerships, drive value, and satisfy purpose.
BRM Capability — A Business Relationship Management Capability is everything it takes, both visible and behind the scenes, to nurture relationships in an organization, creating a limitless supply of energy necessary to evolve culture, build partnerships, drive value, and satisfy purpose.
BRM Community of Practice — BRM community of practice is a leadership team that supports others practicing BRM by establishing BRM standards, quality, thought leadership, and continuous improvement.
BRM Discipline — The Business Relationship Management Discipline is an effective application of knowledge, demonstrated through a set of competencies and mindsets to advance a BRM Capability.
BRM Philosophy — Business Relationship Management Philosophy is a belief that positive relationships drive value in organizations and contribute the greatest positive impact to economic value, people, and the planet.
BRM Role — The Business Relationship Management Role is the set of competencies required to advance the BRM Capability.
Let me know what else I can do to help you in this process and thank you again so much for your time and assistance! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:9000:8500:77EB:5508:4C0E:5DDF:9BFE (talk) 20:49, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for your supportive reply at my attempt to write an entry for Jackie Curtiss. While I understand Jackie may not meet the criteria for being significant enough to warrant an entry it's actually for this exact reason that I feel compelled to make a case for his inclusion. Although he was a significant contributor to the history of Indigenous rights and representation in the arts in the USA, due to systemic racism he has largely been erased from history because he is of Indigenous descent. It is only through a recent publication of a book on Indigenous Comedians entitled We Had a Little Real Estate Problem that he is being rediscovered and I would like to be a part of rectifying this with a Wikipedia article. Please advise if this deserves any reconsideration.

List of cases impacted by Kho Jabing
Hi, just writing to inform you that I am contesting the CSD A10 for List of cases impacted by Kho Jabing, as I think it is a good split with the article being >200kb without the split. I think the Final effort article can be deleted, but I believe there is a good level of distance between Kho Jabing and its impact on subsequent cases for a split, with a summary on Kho Jabing article that links to the whole list. Thank you for reviewing my draft. I will look to improving the references. If I removed the Amazon and Youtube references, would the article stand? There are references in the draft that are non-Amazon and Youtube and speak to the subject's bonafides. When I examine an existing page like that of Myron Butler (another gospel singer but one with a less accomplished career), I struggle to see why Angelia doesn't deserve her own page.

Wiktionary redirects
Please do not nominate these for speedy deletion (unless there is something wrong with the target at Wiktionary). See Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 144#RfC: Cross-wiki redirects to Wiktionary for a recent discussion about their use. If you think there is something wrong with a specific crosswiki redirect, best to nominate at WP:RFD so others can check and discuss the deletion proposal. Happy editing, —Kusma (t·c) 14:02, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Kusma, as far as I see this was a proposal, a survey and no policy at all - please have a look at WP:R2 ... "This applies to redirects (apart from shortcuts) from the main namespace to any other namespace except the Category:, Template:, Wikipedia:, Help: and Portal: namespaces,(...)". This is clearly not a shortcut so honestly I do not see any error at all on my site (apart from my personal opinion that those kind of "articles" do not make any sense at all). CommanderWaterford (talk) 16:09, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- The guideline governing these pages is at Wikipedia:Soft redirect (this also explains that they should be treated as redirects although they technically are just very short articles). The pages you nominated are soft redirects to the main space of Wiktionary, something we have had for at least 15 years when {{wi}} was first created. (Such soft redirects can help prevent WP:DICDEFs while pointing the reader to a place that does define the word). —Kusma (t·c) 21:27, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Inedia Changes And Misunderstood
So, I would like to say that I'd like to get this straight.
But it's not the case.
Not only the reply I received from the person who undo my changes if false. (He says the link is clear... But the link is off).
Of course, he also does't watched the documentary that the link should be pointing to as well.
I doubt he looked at the SOURCE of it, the documentary itself (which i carefully took the time to edit and posted on youtube).
...But my "talks" were also deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pedrynh (talk • contribs) 17:20, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Joe Montana lede
Hi CommanderWaterford. What in particular did you find unconstructive about my edit to the Joe Montana lede? --Somarain (talk) 18:35, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Somarain, you removed several previous references without sufficient explaining why, further does your edit have some touch of WP:FANPOV. CommanderWaterford (talk) 18:39, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- CommanderWaterford, let me know where you want the explanation.
- [3] and [4]: these sentences are backed up in the body so citing them in the lede isn't necessary. - [6] and [7]: not lede worthy; ledes are not not just a list of every magazine that gave him a title in the past 35 years, that's what the career highlights section is for. For FANPOV, please be more specific. I'm not sure what you're referring to as I only removed and rephrased material already in the lede. --Somarain (talk) 19:02, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Reposting here (Angelia Robinson)
assistance on AfC submission by Fundamental1979 ==
Thank you for reviewing my draft. I will look to improving the references. If I removed the Amazon and Youtube references, would the article stand? There are references in the draft that are non-Amazon and Youtube and speak to the subject's bonafides. When I examine an existing page like that of Myron Butler (another gospel singer but one with a less accomplished career), I struggle to see why Angelia doesn't deserve her own page.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myron_Butler Fundamental1979 (talk) 01:00, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Fundamental1979, you will not only have to remove the references, you will have to search for WP:RS at all since right now your article only consists of non of these. After adding those you could resubmit the draft and another reviewer will have an eye on it. CommanderWaterford (talk) 07:46, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Draft:Charin Mendes
Dear CommanderWaterford, previously you gave me so much good feedback on how to improve the Charin Mendes article and in fact moderators took off the promotional flag as well and everything was good and I'm so thankful. However, now a new moderator by the name MrsSnoozyTurtle has flagged it with a COI flag and moved the article to the draft space stating it is "over redirect: BLP with promo and COI concerns, incubate in draftspace". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Charin_Mendes can you please help me with this matter and give me some advice as to what can be done to get it live again. I have also resubmitted it for review so can you please check. Thank you!--Tashiya Jayatilaka (talk) 11:56, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Tashiya Jayatilaka, you will need to ask MrsSnoozyTurtle on their talk page why they tagged your article. You always have the option to move an article which has been "draftified" back into the mainspace but I highly suggest to address the editors concerns before. CommanderWaterford (talk) 12:01, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Masamichi Amano
Hi, I saw that you deleted all my changes made on Masamichi Amano's page. The English page is extremely incomplete, so I decided to extend it. The sources I used are his Wikipedia.jp page and VGMDB. I spent time translating everything to make it understandable in English. It took me a lot of time and work on my working hours. I would like you to find a way to restore the work I did. Hello. Please see the article - Draft:Mediacube. I have added a link detailing the history and activities of the company. This source is known in the territory of Belarus (the company is also from this country). Also according to the rules: 1) A scholarly article, a book passage, or ongoing media coverage focusing on a product or organization. This company is considered in a scientific article and has a review in authoritative media. Research Article - 1; Detailed examination of the company - 2. Election page rejection
Hi. I noticed that my page for the 2021 Plano municipal elections was rejected. Would you recommend waiting until after the election has occurred before submitting the page again, that way the page has real results to show? There is a page for the 2017 Plano municipal elections, which also happens to be a mayoral election year, so my best guess is that this election, unlike larger ones, doesn't warrant having a page until after it has already happened (Or at least until the time between the first round and the almost inevitable runoffs). Thanks for your help! OutlawRun (talk) 22:04, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
Tree Fu Tom Series 6
Hey, CommanderWaterford. I'm Nicona'sCarrer First of all, I was wondering. did series 6 of Tree Fu Tom exist on TV, or did Wikipedia made that up? Secondly, I didn't know the the crew of bluezoo hires the voice actress of The Loud House Nika Fetterman is playing the voice of Catherine in this show. And third, can't they hire Rob Paulsen to be the voice of my favorite character Twigs instead of Matt Hill because I'm afraid he's gonna voice like Ed from Ed, Edd, n Eddy. And forth, dose it have to do with a Villain in the show instead of The Muschas? And finally, do the crew have to hire Navi (Impersonator) and Phil LaMarr in US version to the voice of Treetog's brother Captain Treetoe? a brown skin Michael Jackson like sprite who's Treetopolis's long time hero, and Tom, Twigs, and Catherine's new dancing teacher in series 7. Margery Wolf
Hello, CommanderInDubio. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Margery Wolf at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle☿gab 05:40, 21 March 2021 (UTC) |
- Hi CommanderWaterford, I've made a few changes to the article; I consolidated Wolf's books under a new "Works" section. I removed some promotional text and added several [citation needed] templates. I found a bigger problem with the final section "The Revolution Postponed: Women in Contemporary China". Questia closed in Dec 2020, and checking the archive-url, I find the link goes to a page about an Austrian woman who died in 1942, resulting in a {{not in source}} template. You'll probably want to fix these problems before nominating the article for GA status. Good luck with the article and cheers, Baffle☿gab 05:40, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Elfarmies
@CommanderWaterford,
I'm confused as to why my article is not being accepted based on my sources not being "releveant enough" for my page Draft:Flinch_(2021_Film).
IMDB is one of the best known sources in the world of filmmaking and gives credit to most of my information. The rest, such as the synopsis, comes directly from a press release that I was given by the director, as I work with him. It seems a bit over the top to me that my post is being rejected even though I work with the director of the film.
- Hi @Elfarmies:, first of all please do not forget to sign your messages, see WP:SIG. IMDB is not a WP:RS since it is freely editable for everyone. IMDB as the only source for a film is by far not sufficient. CommanderWaterford (talk) 10:27, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Cubans: White or European, Criollo: Edit Discussion
Hello,
I noticed that you deleted a line I wrote on genetic variability by region, this line did contain a citation that I had spent some time inserting. The comment that was left on the history of that was " not providing a reliable source". Could you please expand on that? The article (PMID: 30061702) was published in the journal Scientific Reports, is that not a reliable source? https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-29851-3#citeas) "Exploring Cuba’s population structure and demographic history using genome-wide data".
What I had written was: Although, there is high variability by region, with individuals from Western provinces having higher European ancestry on average and lower Native American contribution.
If you would like to confirm the validity of what I wrote for yourself, please read the article, it is clear that the various regions have marked genetic variability with what I wrote above holds true. Cuba does not have homogeneous populations, both culturally and genetically. I intended to break up the picture more and introduced this variability by region concept as it is very evident in the island itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GaliCan (talk • contribs) 13:16, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- GaliCan, first of all please do not forget to sign your messages per WP:SIG. Your edit was removed because you added several sentences to the article and/or modified them without presenting a WP:ILC for them. The Nature Report is of course a WP:RS, no question at all. But it is better not modifying so much content without a) explaining why and b) providing citations for your additions. Happy Editing, CommanderWaterford (talk) 13:21, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Can you stop Fram from deleting all my articles for stupid reasons
This user is going to each and every one of my articles and either moving to draftspace or tagging them with a speedy deletion for reasons like 'unreliable sources' or 'this needs to be rewritten' instead of tagging my articles with a template. For example, on Draft:Bromley, Victoria, I reworded 60% of the source, with the exception of a quote and a population table, which is enough recreation to not warrant copyright infringement, and yet he still tags it with a speedy deletion. He is trying to deliberately delete all of my pages, and he's the only one complaining about them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TableSalt342 (talk • contribs) 12:07, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- TableSalt342, you should discuss those issues with the user Fram, btw a very experienced editor. From a quick view of mine it seems that this user has very good reasons for tagging them. CommanderWaterford (talk) 12:17, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

European Citizens' Initiative
Hello Commander,
Thank you for being so attentive to deletions. As explained in the edit summary when making the changes the second time: I deleted some old examples of refused citizens' initiatives and inserted a link to a (regularly updated) list of all refused initiatives. This resulted in deleting text, but actually I added more information. I've kept the case of "Stop TTIP" as an example of a controversial case. I've also updated the terminology ("refused" and not "rejected"). Why keep two old examples from 2014, if in total there were 26 refusals? Moreover, in this article there is a lot of outdated info. I plan to add the updates but also delete info that is not relevant anymore. If this should be done first in the sandbox (I've never used it before), fine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1307BAR (talk • contribs) 08:33, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
TonciJajic | Draft:TasteAtlas
Hi CommanderWaterford, thanks for checking in and for the explanation! Regarding the Draft:TasteAtlas article, I've "published" a draft before I saw your entry on the talk, so would leave it there for review, if you feel that's okay. I fully disclosed the connection/conflict of interest on both my user page and in the Revision Comments for transparency sake. I did try to make the article as short, factual, objective, and neutral as possible, basing all additions on a myriad of popular and reliable sources.
Since I've already "published" the changes and the article itself is a draft, do you think you might be able to check the article itself and see if it adheres to the posting policy?
As for the username, it is my FirstnameLastname (I'm a sole proprietor, so my name has to be in the company's full legal name).
Thanks once more for the help! --TonciJajic (talk) 09:08, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Categories
Hallo, re Benin River: you added Category:Rivers. It might be more useful to add a category which indicates "Nigeria", to bring the article to the attention of the appropriate editors and Wikiproject. I've added Category:Rivers of Nigeria instead, and added a talk page banner for the project too. PamD 09:25, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for feedback on my edits on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_Kerr
Still learning wikipedia and not really sure how it works yet so sorry if this chat doesn't work as I imagined. The other account which you replied to was also me - I didn't realise I had jumped browsers and wasn't myself!
Anyway, thanks again for your time and feedback. I'm keen to make sure information is accurate, my intention is to make sure peoples pages are accurate and have everything relevant on them, as opposed to only the things they may want there.
My original impetus to update Kerrs page was that the majority of the citations pointed to a dead link which I did not consider appropriate.

Recomendation for talk pages
I see that you use reply-link to respond to messages on talk pages. I used to use this also. You might want to consider enabling the Discussion beta feature in your preferences which was very recently enabled on the English Wikipedia. It works very similarly but has both a Wikitext and Visual editor mode, and some other nice features. If you are considering trying it out you might want to read more on it's MediaWiki page. I just thought this might be helpful, so feel free to tell me if it wasn't. bop34 • talk • contribs 21:58, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

Christmas Carol, Chemically Cleaned
Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article "Christmas Carol, Chemically Cleaned" has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
In the section Time reference and personal background I masked this sentence fragment "Stefan Neuhaus saw the poem Christmas," because to me, as it stands, it is meaningless. It could be the introduction to a quotation. This will need your attention. Best of luck with the GAN when you get to it.

Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.
Recent changes
- Some very old web browsers don’t work well with the Wikimedia wikis. Some old code for browsers that used to be supported is being removed. This could cause issues in those browsers. [3]
- IRC recent changes feeds have been moved to a new server. Make sure all tools automatically reconnect to
irc.wikimedia.org
and not to the name of any specific server. Users should also consider switching to the more modern EventStreams. [4]
Problems
- When you move a page that many editors have on their watchlist the history can be split. It might also not be possible to move it again for a while. This is because of a job queue problem. [5]
- Some translatable pages on Meta could not be edited. This was because of a bug in the translation tool. The new MediaWiki version was delayed because of problems like this. [6][7]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 30 March. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 31 March. It will be on all wikis from 1 April (calendar).

- "Correcting violations on the page." was your edit summary and you removed the whole lead of the article. What is "writing in a mismanagement way" ? If you remove central parts of an article without an understandable explanation you will have to explain it, best would be before on its article talk page. CommanderWaterford (talk) 12:20, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for your reply. Did you read that part. That part is not central, that is the starting line. That whole new added paragraph had changed the previous created page starting. The content I removed is because it's not introducing line on the concerned matter, it's written that it is organised by ISI and Pakistan with source also. And really is it starting of a page. That part should be below after the starting part which is there before. That is the rules and regulations of Wikipedia that the article should be in a mannered way. Not like this - 2021 anti-modi bangladesh protest Wikipedia page starting that it is organised by pakistan and ISI. And not that it is a rally and demonstartions which is there before. READ PROPERLY AND THEN GIVE ANSWER. IF I AM WRONG I WILL TRY TO CORRECT MYSELF. Khalidwarrior (talk) 14:27, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
