Speedy deletion nomination of Chef carla pellegrino
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chef carla pellegrino, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Dewritech (talk) 10:47, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Can you put into layman terms why my previous section was deleted? Chef Carla Pellegrino (talk) 19:19, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- As an editor who is not an admin, I can't see deleted pages within Wikipedia, but was able to find an online version at least briefly cached (the spam filter won't let me save that location here). While not a copyright issue, and not being unrecoverable, it was very promotional, informal, and had none of the independent referencing required for Biography of Living Person (BLP) articles, though they were mentioned in passing, they were not formatted as references, and nor as inline citations to demonstrate what material they actually support. You have an identifiable conflict of interest, and while you have the page returned to you for revision (see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion) and it might eventually be accepted, it might be left with unsightly conflict of interest and other tags, perhaps for years, until other editors had added to it or revised it substantially. A better choice might be listing at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Biography/By profession#Chefs with up to three of the best /independent/ references, and her own website or page. How do I create my Chef Carla Pellegrino wiki page and add my biography to it? I can't seem to find that section or instructions on how to do it. Chef Carla Pellegrino (talk) 17:16, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- We strongly discourage subjects of articles creating articles about themselves — see our conflict of interest guideline. – GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:40, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Hello Cpellegrino1,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Chef Carla Pellegrino, may be copied from http://www.chefcarlapellegrino.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50&Itemid=60. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 19:59, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
