PET

edit

What is your reasons for removing so much information? There was a lot of good things in the article? I won't revert, to prevent an edit war, but could I get an explaination? Quatreryukami 16:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • A lot of the information was unnecessary. The article is about PETs, not NetNavis or Battle Chips. NetNavis have their own article; contribute to that article if you want, and anything referencing Battle Chips should have their own article too (though one doesn't exist yet). Furthermore, the article wasn't written in the formal standard of Wikipedia articles, and it needed major clean-up and more consistency with other Battle Network and NT Warrior articles. I wasn't trying to be malicious or anything with the edits; just bringing the article up to "code." -Crimsonseiko 03:23, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Character list

edit

Hey Crimson, would you mind adding the info for the manga to applicable characters in the Star Force character article. I'm pretty sure you'd probably be more familiar with it than I am, since I haven't been keeping an eye on it. Just start a new paragraph after the paragraphs regarding the anime with "In the manga..." --Benten 17:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Sure, I'll see what I can do. I'm not super-familiar with it, but I have a lot of friends who keep up with it. I'll see if they can help me out. (Nice work on the page, BTW. I think we should omit or move the screenshots of the characters from the anime page, though. On a smaller resolution, they really mess up the episode list table.) -Crimsonseiko 17:45, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • All right. I'll remove the screenshots on the anime page, and put up orphaned image tags on them. --Benten 17:49, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi again Crimson. Just wanted to mention (in case you didn't catch it in the edit summary) that characters who haven't appeared yet in the manga don't need that fact pointed out. --Benten 18:37, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Whoops, nope, didn't catch that. Sorry. ^_^; -Crimsonseiko 18:38, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Super Smash Bros. Brawl image

edit

Could you please tell me where you located the image you uploaded to Image:SSBB_Cover.jpg? It's clearly not the one we previously had from Amazon, and it's important that we update the fair use rationale with the current source of the image to prevent issues down the line. Arrowned 23:06, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

On second thought, I'm just going to go ahead and revert it back. That image is far too large to fly under the "low resolution" mentality, and may get speedily deleted at some point due to that. Arrowned 23:08, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that's understandable. And it really is the better upload, so I'd prefer for it to stay too. Arrowned 23:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mitsudomoe

edit

Yeah, I'm thinking that too. The "mitsudomoe" is probably just idiomatic. Should we actually just change it to "three-way struggle" or use refs to explain the idiom like we're doing with the Himanala/Nansca puns?—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 23:24, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I'm sorry--I didn't actually bother looking at the WWWJDIC the first time. Well if "mitsudomoe" actually is used for that (note that I usually use JWPce's dictionary; it's not quite as detailed as WWWJDIC) I'll just say "three-way ooparts struggle".—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 23:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh. Well it's Jeffrey's dictionary. (Haha, I used to use that.) Well, you know what I mean. Still more detailed than JWPce.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 23:33, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh. It's not a "puku" sort of thing? That's what I assumed when it went from "a monkey in training" to "training de osaru" at some point.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 23:37, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Operate-shooting-star-illust.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Operate-shooting-star-illust.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Closedmouth (talk) 09:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Nt-story.jpg

edit

The file File:Nt-story.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, unclear use/purpose

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
