editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Pudukad has been reverted.

Ammachiyude Adukkala
editThank you for your email, I'll answer here. I have deleted the page because I did not find it notable for Wikipedia ("No explanation of the subject's significance (web content)"; see Wikipedia:CSD#A7). If you think it is notable, please resubmit the article making sure that you state that and show why it is suitable for a Wikipedia article. Maybe you can use the 'articles for creation' process. Speedy deletion nomination of St Antonys Forane Church, Pudukkad
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on St Antonys Forane Church, Pudukkad, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of https://www.facebook.com/EndePudukad/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Nishmika Das moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Nishmika Das, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 21:24, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

editHello D4diaz. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:D4diaz. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=D4diaz|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 14:27, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.Deb (talk) 14:56, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- There is evidence to suggest that you may be part of a company that specializes in optimizing website and search results. This doesn't mean that you can't contribute, but you just need to be careful about how you go about it and what you write. You are doing the right thing by submitting things via the Articles for Creation process, however you will still need to disclose your conflict of interest per guidelines.
- As far as the promotional tones go, this is something you're going to have to adapt to on Wikipedia. Writing in a neutral point of view is something that a lot of editors struggle with on Wikipedia, as we're used to writing in a persuasive, sometimes even personal and questioning style. That's fine everywhere else, but Wikipedia's style is very different. To be honest, it's something I struggled with at first as well.
- If you do indeed work in a job that involves marketing, then it's part of your job to write in a persuasive tone, so you're used to this. Words or phrases that would seem promotional to the average person won't be for you, because it comes to you as easy as breathing because it's your job to write like this.
- Things to avoid are phrases like "renowned" and "prestigious" - anything that would hype up something or someone as awesome. Not only does this sound promotional and non-neutral, it's also unnecessary. If a topic meets notability guidelines it's assumed that it's known within its field or community, so there would be no need to talk it up even if neutrality wasn't a concern.
- I recommend looking through these training modules, as they give a good general overview of Wikipedia's guidelines. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 14:57, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
