Hi Davey2010, I think your comment was a bit unfair. While I realise what you mean, calling 4000 edits and 120ish pages created, even if they are one-sentence stubs, "barely contributing" is unnecessary, exaggerated and will only demoralise a keen if somewhat misguided editor. BethNaught (talk) 16:26, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Davey. While your support for Titodutta's RfA is welcome, could I just recommend that calling another editor a "miserable shit" isn't really a good idea. Everyone's entitled to their own views and opinions. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:59, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Ritchie, Nope I'll admit that wasn't a great idea, I thinking opposing partly over a signature isn't a brilliant neither, That said you are right we are all entitled to our opinions and we all should respect that,
- Anyway I've removed it entirely [1] - Thanks for making me see sense

"space html code"
There is a reason a previous editor has used the non-breaking space. Without it it is possible to get misalignments such as:
... 25 January ...
whereas
... 25 January ...
is better for the reader. Since it is rare (it would only occur for certain specific widths of browser setting) it is not worth reverting, particularly considering the following edit. This therefore is in the nature of a reason for your information. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 23:47, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Martin of Sheffield - Ah that's probably why I was lost then if it's to do with browser settings, I'll revert myself as you've very kindly explained the nature of it so basically it does serve a purpose :)
- Thanks for your message and for explaining it :)
- Thanks and Happy Editing :) –Davey2010Talk 00:26, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Grand Forks Secondary School
Someone was vandalizing the page for Grand Forks Secondary School and changed the mascot from the Wolves to hobbits. It is the Wolves, and I am trying to change that, but you reverted the edit.
Canucksfan97 (talk) 03:02, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Can you please stop reverting that? I used to attend the school, and the team name is the Wolves and not the hobbits. I'm trying to revert vandalism and you're stopping me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Canucksfan97 (talk • contribs) 03:05, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

- I'm not vandalizing the article, someone else was and I'm attempting to correct it. If you look on the official website of Grand Forks Secondary School you will discover that their team is called the Wolves. If you look through my contributions to Wikipedia you should be able to see that I have been a helpful editor, and have never vandalized anything. Please do some research before you revert my edits. My edits were correcting previous vandalism. Canucksfan97 (talk) 03:15, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Looks like someone else started the article for the deleted JayBleeng page, which the original editor was blocked (possible sock puppet?) Wgolf (talk) 02:47, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Wgolf, Hope all's well, I'd say it's a sock puppet as if you look between Jaybleeng (Deleted) and JayBleeng - They've used a capital B which could be an attempt to avoid the watchers of the deleted article as the new one's now unnotoiced by everyone who may of been watching the previous article ? , Meh I'd list it at SPI to be on the safe side mate, –Davey2010Talk 02:53, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed-I have noticed changing a vowel is another common way or even adding accents to the name (On another note I did notice someone added a page for a actress that they had to put a (I) for since the article was rpp years and years ago for being recreated-but that seems to happen every so often) but yeah I'm going to start one. Wgolf (talk) 02:56, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- That's the downfall with RPP is you can get that page "recreation blocked" but you can easily evade it just by adding "(singer)" on the end or as you say a simple lowercase to uppercase change, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 03:02, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

- Kudpung - Damnit sorry I'd forgot there, As you'll see from my contributions I have been adding that template for quite some time so I'm not new to it.... :) - I would show diffs but my laptop's being a complete dick and it appears to try and find new ways of not working!, Don't ever buy Asus seriously! . –Davey2010Talk 05:30, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

- As of now Windows 7's on a 5 year extended support plan so once it expires completely in 2020 I'm then hoping to go straight to Windows 10 (I can't stand 8!), Although If I'm being totally honest I don't think this laptop will last that long! . –Davey2010Talk 14:02, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Davey! I appreciate your recent work doing NAC closures at AfD. However, I think this closure was premature. The discussion had been running for less than 24 hours; the standard is 7 days. Generally, nominations are speedy-closed only if the nominator withdraws the nomination, and that didn't happen in this case. And although three strong "keep"s is a good reason to close the article as keep when the time has run, it is not enough for a speedy-keep. I think you might want to reopen this discussion until either the nomination is withdrawn or the time course has run. That's mostly for procedure's sake, I have no doubt that the ultimate outcome will be "keep". But you might want to re-read WP:NAC just to refresh your understanding of what is and isn't appropriate; NAC is not a time to be WP:BOLD. And you might also want to review Wikipedia:Speedy keep. This is not intended as criticism, just part of the learning process, and I hope you will keep up the good work you have been doing. --MelanieN (talk) 15:40, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Melanie, I admit I was in 2 minds whether to close or not but decided to be WP:BOLD and go ahead and had assumed everyone would be fine,
Would've been nice if Ritchie333 had asked directly himself but there we go!.–Davey2010Talk 15:45, 17 February 2015 (UTC)- I pinged you on MelanieN's talk about 20 minutes before she wrote this, so we could have a three way conversation - did you not get the notification? There are known problems with ping not turning up. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:48, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Nope no ping unfortunately (Damn useless echo! - If you ever disagree with my closures please just ask and I'll happily RV/open :), Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:52, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- You might report that missed ping at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 134#Echo is not working, with a diff. I missed quite a few over the weekend but they are working for me now. --MelanieN (talk) 15:55, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Autopatrolled right
Hi, Davey! I have just granted you the Autopatrolled right. I noticed that you don't have it, but you are more than qualified for this right. This won't really affect you much; it just means that your new articles from now on will not go through page curation. They will be marked as automatically patrolled by you. Takes a bit of a load off the new page patrollers. Happy editing! --MelanieN (talk) 21:49, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi MelanieN, Wow thank you so much! :) - Unfortunately I've never created an article so haven't really felt the need to have it (I guess I may create an article at some point in my life lol)
- Thank you - It was very kind of you and it's very much appreciated :)
- Oh BTW I apologize for the reply earlier as I know I sounded "happy" ... Everything that could go wrong with my laptop is going wrong so yeah sorry :)
- Anyway thanks again :) - –Davey2010Talk 21:57, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

King's Rochester
Hi Davey. I've just reverted user:Oscarthewise on Rochester, Kent. I then came to King's Rochester and noticed that it was a senior editor, yourself, that had made the change. "The King's School" is the correct, formal and historic name of the institution. "King's Rochester" is a a PR name for use on slogans, advertising and the media. The question then is: should an encyclopaedia use the correct name or a PR name? As the senior editor involved I'll leave it up to you. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 00:14, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Martin, Obviously the correct name - I hadn't even realized it was a PR thing - Just assumed they had basically renamed themselves,
- My apologies for that - I perhaps should've dug deeper before assuming!, Thanks for your message - I shall revert! :)
- Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 00:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- They may be an ancient school and a charity, but since they get no state funding they are to an extent driven by bean counters and publicists like all businesses. To be fair I think part of the reasoning is to get a short snappy name that distinguishes them from the other Henrician King's Schools: Worcester, Peterborough, Gloucester, Chester & Canterbury. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 19:11, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Well I guess it makes sense instead of all 5 being one name :), Anyway thanks, –Davey2010Talk 20:15, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Cinema Museum Editathon
I have removed your name from the editathon list. At Wikimedia UK we are currently experimenting with the Education Program Extension, and before receiving the note you dropped on my talk page I did not realise that enrollment was not user-reversible. So, your feedback is very useful and so you get a cup of coffee rather than a fish. Fabian Tompsett (WMUK) (talk) 11:18, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Fabian, Brilliant thanks ever so much :),
- I'm very surprised it wasn't reversible so it would be good if there was a "Remove yourself" or a similar button,
- Haha thanks for the coffee - Just woke up so bang on time ,
- Anyway thanks for your help :), –Davey2010Talk 11:37, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Liza Arzamasova
The article Liza Arzamasova has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Very poorly sourced BLP
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sorry for the termplate. Hi Davey2010: Just a heads up about Max Schrems. After you closed the AfD discussion, the AfD template was not removed from the article. I have removed it (diff). It seems likely that you're using the close afd script, but sometimes the AfD template needs to be manually removed from articles for various reasons (internet timeout, Wikipedia delays, etc.) As such, please consider double-checking the article pages (including talk) after closing discussions. Thanks, NORTH AMERICA1000 17:53, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Northamerica1000 - I've always checked but just lately I've been forgetting too as I tend go through the log and close one after another (Guess I should close, check, close etc etc), Anyway many thanks for removing it - Much appreciated, –Davey2010Talk 18:31, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
RfA
Hi. Thank you for contributing to the process we use for electing our administators. Please remember that the RfA page is for offering your comment regarding the suitability of the candidate. Anything else is off topic and belongs elswere. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:31, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- With all respect Kudpung He's opposed a hell of alot of RFAs lately hence Admins, Myself and everyone else questioning him, If he Opposed AND Supported they'd be no issues .... but he hasn't - I will admit yesterdays pile on was a bit much and perhaps unneeded but at the end of the day If he Opposes every single RFA that appears then he deserves the questioning (to some extent),
- It's a 2 way thing - Him opposing is disrupting, Us all questioning him is disrupting,
- Anyway Happy Editing. –Davey2010Talk 00:23, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- I understad your concern, really I do, however, it's not a 2-way thing, it's a question of everyone wanting this. You'll never change the voting habits of some users - some of us have been around here a long time and know. I am the only user who has been constantly concerned with the quality of voting at RfA for over 5 yars and I know. If you have issues with a user's pattern of voting, the place to take it up with them is on their talk page, but even there you will have no success with users who have been aroud longer than you. You'll just encourage them to continue even more in defiance. If you want to scare new candidates away from running for adminship, a sure fire way is turn every vote - whether you like it or not - into a long discussion, especially ones tht degenerate in general discussions that belong very much elswhere. I would have voted on that RfA, but until someone takes the initiative to remove all the off-topic chat somewhere else, the candidate is going to have to do without my vote. Put it this way: what if it were your RfA? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:41, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- That's actually a very good point I guess it is everyone wanting the last word,
- I will admit especially lately it's become a bit much with everyone piling on him - We all (me inc) say "The RFA needs to change" but I guess we sure as hell aren't helping its process here!,
- Exactly if it were my RFA I to put it bluntly "Would want all that crap moved elsewhere", No one wants there RFA turned from them in to huge discussion over 1 Oppose,
- Anyway I'll perhaps quit with the comments as lets be honest they're not helping anyone,
- Anyway thanks for your message as well as for your reply - Much appreciated,
- I'll try and shut up more
- Thanks and have a great day :) –Davey2010Talk 00:55, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks for the swift reply. I am an extremely busy new page patroller, and I tend to start marking and reviewing pages en masse on occasion to relieve the massive backlog of unreviewed new pages that often collects, so after a long time tagging and editing, I tend to get a bit monotonous while working at NPP. But thanks for the discussion closure, since correct judgments need to be made by someone. smileguy91Need to talk? 21:29, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

- I'm talking about the Bates family. Daughter Alyssa married John Webster and they're expecting a girl. I thought you would like to add their daughter's name - Allie Jane. That's why I gave you the link. I've seen pictures of the nursery with "Allie Jane" written on the wall. I can find it if you need more proof. 74.58.164.84 (talk) 04:10, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- After assuming this was talkpage related and going through your contributions I finally figured out you meant the edit request at Bates family - I obviously can't remember what I done here on the 25th January (I don't think anyone can!) so it would've helped alot if you had linked it all in the first place but anywho - Could be wrong but as far as I know names don't get added, Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 04:19, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "names don't get added"? Zach and Whitney's son has his name there. 74.58.164.84 (talk) 20:44, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Bradley Given Bates, son of Zach and Whitney is mentioned, along with his birthday and current age. As for adding the newest member to be's name, I would if I could, but the page is protected and I can`t edit it. 74.58.164.84 (talk) 18:49, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
I was actually making some amendments to the article to show notability. The school has the largest Resource base provision in the north of England, which I think would make it notable. TimMassey — Preceding unsigned comment added by TimMassey (talk • contribs) 22:49, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- Are you affliated with the school ? Anyway having a large base doesn't make it notable sorry. –Davey2010Talk 22:56, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- My children go to the school, yes, but not to the resource base. Why would the the resource base not make this school notable? If you are unaware, the Resource Base caters for children with moderate to severe learning and behavioral difficulties.

In regards to AfDs
There's a specific speedy tag for closed XfDs - it's G6 {{db-xfd}}. Just so you know. Also, it'd be nice if on bundled nominations you removed the AfD tag from each article (but someone will get them soon anyways probably). Cheers, ansh666 04:31, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Bournemouth
Hello Davey,
I'm not quite sure why you undid my changes to the Bournemouth article. All I did was restore the cited doc that had been replaced by Michael Glass using a false statement. He also had to change the distance to km and use a flip to show the original mile values. Well, with the original doc, which is NOT a travel brochure, but is the authoritative website of the body charged with managing the coastal site, the distances can be changed back to the original miles and the "flip" statement thus removed. I hope that makes sense.

I know the image is not o good quality, it was taken at 4pm with bright sunlight. I hope to snap a few more in the coming week or two, hopefully, this time, it would be of better quality [Same phone will be used to click though]. Sorry about the misunderstanding, but I think the image is of higher significance on that page than some others, due to the nature and intent behind the advertising. Cheerio, and Happy Editing. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:49, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Had it not been for the source you provided I would've simply removed it again but the article needs sources and you provided one with the image so only makes sense for me to leave it, As for it being "higher significance on that page than some others" ... Well I'm not even going to comment on that seeing as you're the uploader, Anyway thanks and Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 21:57, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

User named 'Matthew, got a 3.'
Hi Davey2010,
I just wanted to draw your attention to something, just so you are aware of it.
I've noticed that an editor named 'Matthew, got a 3' has recently made a few edits on the page "The Dumping Ground (series 3)", which as you may remember has had problems with persistent vandalism.
Looking at the user's contributions (at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Matthew,_got_a_3.), it becomes clear he/she has also edited some New Zealand X Factor pages. The only reason I am telling you this is because it has made me suspicious of this user.
Previously the Dumping Ground page has been edited by the users 'Linde (T1) Gaytri (T2)' [8] and 'Kris, Victoria = 5' [9], both of whom have been banned for their persistent vandalism on this page. I have noted that all three of these users (including the Matthew user) have edited pages relating to both the New Zealand X Factor and The Dumping Ground.
This new Matthew user has only begun editing the Dumping Groundage recently, following the closure of the Kris account. Given the timeframe, and the fact that the three accounts are linked by numbers (Linde was 1 and 2, Matthew is 3 and Kris is 5), I suspect they are all the same person.
Whilst I don't know the terminology too well, I suspect this 'Matthew, got a 3.' account may be a sock puppet of Linde. I don't know the procedure for incidents like this, and the user hasn't done any damage yet, but I thought I'd tell you so you can take whatever actions you want.

- Hi Sylvestermccoyfan7, Funnily enough I thought about it a few days, This also seemed very odd [10], If they do pop up just go to SPI (or if you're stuck let me know and I'll set it up for you), Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 21:06, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

- Hi Davey. I'm having problems with another user, but I thought I didn't need to make a new topic as it might be the same person. I'm not sure if you're allowed to block IPs or have any way of doing this, but the IP address https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/86.143.195.160 has been editing the Dumping Ground series 3 page for the last day or two, adding unsourced information about the new character of Sasha, and the airdate of the next episode (they've made seven or eight edits throughout the whole of today). Given that the next episode airs on an unannounced date in the Autumn and that we have no official news on the character of Sasha, this is false information. I'm also pretty sure this is the information that was being added by the three linked accounts that have been suspended. I keep reverting their edits but I don't want to start an edit war or have to constantly revert this user's edits. Is there any way this IP address can be blocked? If not, or if you're not the right person to ask, I'm sorry for bothering you. Sylvestermccoyfan7 (talk) 21:27, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Sylvestermccoyfan7, It looks like the IP's unrelated but either way there's not much anyone can do other than warn, and or get the pages protected, Cheers & Happy editing 21:33, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

In response to your closing message, if you had looked at the article history, you would have seen that I did do the redirect. Twice. And got reverted by the article creator. Twice. Maybe I should have taken it to WP:RFP instead of AfD--if the creator insists on reverting again (or maybe even if not), I will do just that, with the extra ammunition that the AfD result provides. But don't think I tried to AfD first and ask questions later. --Finngall talk 05:46, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Davey. I'm very confused by your non-admin closure as speedy keep of a discussion with 3 people feeling it doesn't meet notability. If you felt my reasons hadn't been written clearly enough, you could have pinged me and asked for clarification rather than this, which will waste everyone's time starting it up again. Unless there is something else I've missed? Best wishes and thanks for the work you do, Boleyn (talk) 16:09, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Boleyn - You basically had removed everything here [11] and put Withdrawn so on the AFD log it looked like your Withdrawn !vote was either on top of an afd or below it .... If that makes sense, So I assumed you added withdrawn at the top of the "Nicaragua" AFD but you obviously hadn't, Thanks and thanks for the work you do too :) –Davey2010Talk 16:12, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for explaining, I only ever look at the AfDs individually so it never occurred to me that it could look confusing on a full list of AfDs. Are you able to remove your closure? Boleyn (talk) 16:22, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's cool no worries, Umm I "un-closed" it before you even posted your message here . –Davey2010Talk 16:46, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

AfD fix
I'm curious: what exactly has changed in this set of edits that actually made some sort of difference? I always use Twinkle for AfD noms and I can't see any substantive difference here. If there is something substantive, the Twinkle people need to know about it. Or are they already aware? - Sitush (talk) 20:00, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- There was a lot of [[[[]]]] and {{{}}}}'s but looking at the history it looks as if it was fine before?, The AFD looked malformed so I have absolutely no idea what the hell's happened then? –Davey2010Talk 20:08, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- This was how it looked [12] but when I saved the edit without previewing I hadn't fixed anything, I have no idea but I'll have to keep an eye on it, Thanks for notifying me, –Davey2010Talk 20:11, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Strictly speaking
An AfD closure should only be made by a person who can carry out the verdict. Therefore, I added A7 to the delete reason so that we're covered both ways. Feel free to delete this when you've seen it (mind you, you can't before anyway...) 8-) Peridon (talk) 22:39, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- BTW there's a redlink in an infobox on Bobby Jindal needs sorting. I'll leave that to you - I hate working on infoboxes. Peridon (talk) 22:42, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Peridon was too kind; he could have WP:TROUTed you. The instructions for NAC closures clearly say that non-administrators should not make Delete closures; see WP:BADNAC. Oops! 0;-D --MelanieN (talk) 22:49, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Peridon, My apologies I simply enjoy helping out here but now I think about it I shouldn't of closed it as such, Meh we all make mistakes here, Anyway thanks for the heads up there :).
- Melanie - There would be no point in trouting as that does more harm than good especially on this very talkpage - I made a mistake and I admit that. –Davey2010Talk 23:06, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Trouts are intended to be light-hearted - as between friends. And I do consider you a friend, so I hope you weren't offended by my comments. --MelanieN (talk) 03:05, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- MelanieN - Unfortunately I see them more as a warning and personally I prefer editors to actually explain my mistakes rather than just slap me with a warning or trout as to me it accomplishes nothing but that's just me ,
- Sorry If I bit your head off earlier - Just stressing over RL things ,

Blanking of articles before AfD
Sound advice, but why did it need to be a warning? I think it'll strike the wrong note. :-) Alakzi (talk) 00:37, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Alakzi - Thanks, I'll admit the warning part was a tad harsh, I was just somewhat worried that the message would be ignored but then again if he blanks and noinates I guess he'd get an official one anyway,
- Anyway thanks for your message - Much appreciated, Thanks and happy editing :) –Davey2010Talk 01:10, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Removing irrelevant content from AFD'd filmographies
Hello. I wanted to comment on my "moronic" removal of irrelevant info from the music group filmographies I AFD'd. Maybe you're right and I shouldn't have done that, but the info didn't belong there, period, so there was no problem with it being removed. I was careful to not "disrupt Wikipedia" to make a point. I did it because there is a problem with another filmography AFD in which one editor refuses to allow removal of any inappropriate content from a ridiculous filmography and then maintains that it should continue existing because it's "too long" to fit in the group's article. I was trying to simply show that none of these music group filmographies I AFD'd needed standalone articles by showing just how much content would remain in the articles after all the inappropriate info was removed. Maybe it wasn't the best course of action but it wasn't done as a result of being "moronic", and I honestly thought it was for the best. You disagree and I respect that; I won't revert your changes. Kpop is just...you have no idea. People will start freaking World War III to keep as much stuff as possible on their favorite group splashed all over Wikipedia. Anyway, thanks for your contributions to the discussions and your overall work on Wikipedia. :) Shinyang-i (talk) 17:00, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- I completely understand but in general your way is considered disruptive unfortunately but meh past is the past as far as I'm concerned :), Anyway thanks for the explanation,Happy Editing. –Davey2010Talk 17:45, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

I reverted the NAC that you made on the Khiabani AFD. The article in question had not been speedily deleted, and until it has been deleted it is not appropriate to close the AFD. Regards, GregJackP Boomer! 02:00, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- If consensus is to Speedy it and the CSD tag has been on it for over 2 hours it then makes sense to close as it will be deleted but to keep you fucking happy I'll fucking rv. –Davey2010Talk 02:01, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Your revert to Elle Fanning
Hi. You just reverted My edits to Elle Fanning, with reason "Unsourced". You can find the infomation I added, on her IMDb profile ([13]). So I've undone your edit. -(Redacted) 07:54, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- (Redacted) - Your additions were unsourced at the time, and IMDb isn't a WP:Reliable source,

Sorry for the lack of redirect information in the post. Perhaps it would help to add a redirect to the Wikipedia:Notability (astronomical objects)#Dealing with minor planets section? Praemonitus (talk) 17:08, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Praemonitus, It's fine no worries :), Even if the nominator had added a link or specifically stated the redirect article I wouldn't of had any issues :),
- Until now I had no idea "#Dealing with minor planets" existed (I simply opened the link, Saw the essay and then closed it) So perhaps a link to that section is needed so people who aren't familiar with planet-related articles know what they're doing ,
- Anyway thanks and Happy editing :), –Davey2010Talk 17:26, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

...Have you ever had any desire to be an admin? I'm not saying that I'm going to nominate you any time soon, but I see some qualities in your edits that seem like qualities of a good admin. Steel1943 (talk) 00:19, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Steel1943, Thanks for the compliment :) - I'd love to be an admin but unfortunately I do get annoyed/frustrated very easily & don't have much patience either, Don't get me wrong we all get annoyed here but even IRL if something doesn't go my way I get hacked off easily, At the end of the day I honestly believe me being an admin here would just be a car crash I honestly do,
- But thanks for the compliment/message anyway :),
- Keep up the great work and Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 00:31, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- I can't say that I don't understand you because ... I do. Once upon a time, I wanted to be an admin, then essentially changed my mind. I mean heck, I even took a 2-hour WikiBreak today due to frustration (thought it was going to be longer). Yeah, I completely understand! :) Steel1943 (talk) 00:39, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wow I'm genuinely surprised - I don't think I've ever seen you get frustrated on here :),
- That's one thing I have noticed is that nowadays If for instance I'm hacked off and end up telling someone to FO or worse everyone usually knows it's cos I'm angry so no one says a thing which is great,
- I know how you feel - I've gotten to the point before where I felt like "introducing the laptop to the wall" but I find having a cuppa outside is far more calming than losing your shit with an electronic device which you'll regret in an hours time ,
- It's nice tho to have people even on here to understand one another :) –Davey2010Talk 01:59, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi there.
Just wondering why you removed your entry over at AIV? He's clearly only out to make his own complaints - his edit history shows that he's done the same on the EasyJet & Tata articles as well. I've just reverted him again on the CEX page.
I would report him myself, but before I do so, I'd like to know why you reverted yours.

Hi, Davey2010! I need your help with something. A new editor by the name of Bjcressy (talk · contribs) has been adding unsourced content to a number of BLPs, including the one for Charley Webb. I've already reverted his edits to this article twice, and don't wish to revert a third time (yes, I know BLPs are exempt from 3RR under certain conditions, but I don't think Bjcressy's edits rise to that level...). Could you take a look at the most recent addition(s) to that article from Bjcressy, and determine whether you think they should be reverted or not. (Aside: Oddly, Bjcressy's most recent edits to this article are showing up as "Automatically accepted" when I look at the revision history, which is weird as this new editor does not have "Pending changes reviewer" status...) Anyway, thanks in advance! --IJBall (talk) 02:19, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi IJBall, They're being accept because I think he's reached the stage where the software or whatever thinks his edits are fine when in actual fact they're not?, I'm not sure, You're spot on his additions need sourcing which he's not bothered with so I've slapped an
EW/Unsourced warning on his TP, Not sure it'll do bugger all tho. –Davey2010Talk 02:31, 3 May 2015 (UTC)- Thanks for doing that! I think I may ask at the Help Desk how this editor's edits were "automatically accepted" though, as I don't think that should be happening to a new editor with no "Pending changes reviewer" status... --IJBall (talk) 02:36, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

re.: Emma Fuhrman
I put the "issues" label on the article because I was short of time, but the article does have multiple issues. I hurriedly mentioned one or two on the Talk Page, Do you really think the article isn't incomplete, and otherwise flawed, as is? It really does not rate the label saying that a number of things in it should be improved?

- Hi GcT, I actually had no idea the "Issues" tag even existed!, The problem is the tag is completely unhelpful because it doesn't state what issues, How are editors expected to fix these "issues" when they don't even know what the issues are ?,
- Personally I think it's better to tag the article with individual tags as to me it's far more helpful than just one tag.
- Hahaha you can't beat Chicken

Coming clean about comment
Hi, Davey2010,
Listen, we've crossed paths many times over the last few years and as far as I can recall, our interactions have been positive. However, you posted a comment on Talk:Dinnerbone that, to be frank, offended me for the lack of civility. You know, I'm not one to hold grudges or report to AN/I, (like someone hastily did above), but I have developed a forthcoming nature since I took a step away from Wikipedia with semi-retirement to focus on my screenwriting career. I don't want any hard feelings to metastasize, so I wanted to tell you my perspective.
Again, we have had positive interactions in the past and for the most part, you are kind and friendly. I just wanted to present my perspective, is all. DARTHBOTTO talk•cont 01:02, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi DarthBotto, As far as I can remember we've never crossed paths ?, Anyway I apologize for that comment - To be honest it is usually considered a waste of time but that said I could've worded it in a much much nicer way so I apologize for that- Anyway I'm following IAR & have struck it out :)
- Thanks and happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 02:18, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, we've commented on a lot of the same talk page threads, though nothing caustic. Thank you for all that- I really appreciate it. If you decide to run for adminship, I'll be happy to throw in my vote. :) DARTHBOTTO talk•cont 02:27, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ah right perhaps I've just not been paying attention I dunno , You're more than welcome - Thank you for not dragging me to ANI - Why the other idiot didn't bother coming here I'll never know but hey "stuff" happens
- Arr thanks but I'll never go for adminship (See here) but thanks anyway :),
- Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 02:38, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, I would never report someone to AN/I over hurt feelings. ;) DARTHBOTTO talk•cont 21:38, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Haha if only everyone was like you - The amount of moronic reports at ANI is beyond stupid - As some friendly advice I strongly suggest ANI at all costs ... or for any noticeboard for that matter . –Davey2010Talk 21:47, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

User issues
I noticed your talk page post, along with @MrX:'s for User:GageSkidmore, with regard to photo uploads. I have encountered this same issue as well. He seems to upload duplicates of photos, likes to replace photos whenever and wherever he can, and never seems to upload a photo to the commons, and uses incorrect licenses. In some cases, such as Carly Fiorina presidential campaign, 2016, he insists on using his upload (not on commons either) as the campaign logo for the page, even though I stressed that his version isn't used anywhere in her campaign material as yet. This seems to be a recurring theme with this user. He also literally never explains his actions in his edits. His talk page is filled with complaints, and I think it amounts to disruptive editing. I'd like to see where you may stand on this, as to whether he should be reported and/or blocked. Thanks, Spartan7W § 23:59, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Spartan7W - At the end of the day I honestly feel he ought to be blocked for it, It's WP:SELFPROMOTION, His name and the flickr image are all included in the other uploads so why would he wanna reupload just with "Gage Skidmore" on the end ?, He's been uploading to commons too and 2 of his files are up for deletion - I thought about nominating all of his images but I'm not nominating 50 odd images just to meet an idiotic admin who refuse to do bugger all and thus makes it a complete waste of time, Sorry rambling on . –Davey2010Talk 00:23, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- I haven't really been following this photo upload/reload saga, but I have a few comments. His file naming is self-promotional, albeit under the guise of attribution and not in violation of WP:FNC as far as I can tell. He is also disruptive and non-cooperative. I, and other editors, have repeatedly asked him to use edit summaries, which he tacitly refuses to do. He also engages in edit warring quite a bit.- MrX 00:54, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Well he's used them today I wonder why! - Well I've started a 3rr thanks to him edit warring, Oh fun days. –Davey2010Talk 00:57, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your prompt responses guys. I like to enrich articles with photographs myself, but I go to lengths to find others' works that are of good quality, composition, merit, etc. But he is self-promoting, edit warring, and doing things the way he wants and likes, he's not helping build a better, unbiased encyclopedia. You may also notice that in his User talk:GageSkidmore, he virtually never responds to anybody's posts. I'm just afraid of edit wars coming down the line. Everybody has a learning curve, but he's been around too long, and too consistently makes a mess. Spartan7W § 01:56, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Exactly I too try and find the best of images but when it comes to self promoting I refuse to use the photos but perhaps that's just me, Exactly had he bothered to have a discussion in the first place I wouldn't have needed to file it but there we go it's his own doing, Anyway thanks for everyone replying - Much appreciated :) –Davey2010Talk 02:01, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

ani
Since none of the 3 admins that I asked have me a straight yes or no answer whether removing an afd comment was acceptable, I have asked ANI. I also see that you get into a lot of conflict with others. Please don't do that. Deepavali 2014 (talk) 05:43, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Ariana Grande infobox
Hi, Davey. Thanks for your message. I think the infobox on the Ariana Grande message interferes with our ability to put a useful image there. Infoboxes are optional, and this one contains only redundant information, so I recommend that we delete it and, instead, put back the image that I had there. Please examine my edit that you reverted, and if you agree, on reflection, then please make a comment of the Ariana Grande talk page and revert. If you still disagree, that's fine, and it means that there is no consensus for the change that I suggested. All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 15:15, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Personally I think the infobox should stay as it - Had it been a stubby article then I'd agree but with the article constantly expanding I think at one point or another it'll only get readded back, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:27, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
Vote Labour?
Hello - yes, same happened to me, I think it was this edit that did it - but I've no idea how! --Super Nintendo Chalmers (talk) 15:35, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers - Sorry for all the confusion - Basically an IP & editor were messing around with one of the templates on the article so thus that happened so it was nothing to do with Alakzi - When you reverted me and everything was normal I begun questioning my own sanity ,
- Apologies for reverting you as using rollback on you (It was impossible to use Twinkle with the cock-ups),
- Anyway happy editing :) –Davey2010Talk 15:39, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
New question raised regarding Talk:Hillary Rodham Clinton/April 2015 move request
Some opposers of this move have now contended that there is a "Critical fault in proposal evidence", which brings the opinions expressed into question. Please indicate if this assertion in any way affects your position with respect to the proposed move. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:37, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Edit summary
Regarding your edit here, how does MOS apply? Maybe the script has some sort of fault with edit summaries. Snuggums (talk / edits) 07:06, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi SNUGGUMS, Nope my fault entirely - I have auto-fill enabled so I don't have to do much typing .... but unfortunately the order changed so when I type "d" instead of coming up with "d" (for delete) the first thing was "date formats etc etc" and without paying much attention smacked enter and hey ho,
- I'm somewhat of a sloppy editor around 4am
- Well it's 8am and I need quite alot of sleep so best go to the land of nod before I cause a nuclear disaster

Closing merger discussions at that troublesome article
@Davey2010: At Talk:Rape jihad, could we get the "Proposed merge" and "Proposed title" threads "blue-box" closed (as the proposals are highly contentious, meaning no merge or move can proceed on the basis of !voting)? Their existence is enabling a couple of the still-unblocked disruptive editors to keep hatting the article with multiple-issue tag-pollution. Thanks in advance. Pax 07:09, 10 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Pax, Just about to go bed (it's 8am here ... I'm a lazy shit on weekends ) so I'll have a look around 3pm If I remember :), Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 07:23, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, for your laptop issues
Hi Davey2010, so sorry that your laptop has failed on you. I had a similar situation a few months ago. I hope you get your computer fixed and you can be active on Wikipedia as normal. What operating system and service pack are you currently (or was) using? I am currently using Windows Vista, which is the worst.
- Cheers my friend. CookieMonster755 (talk) 04:45, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi CookieMonster755, Windows 7 and service pack 1 and I got it working by resetting the entire thing:) - It basically had a funny moment so usually force it off and on ... but when I turned it on it wanted to do updates so again switched it off and on and in the process buggered something up - I tried every possible wwy of getting in but it was BSOD each time
- I had my last XP laptop for 7/8 years and despite it being dropped more than you can count it worked fine .... This laptop on the otherhand .... well dropped the laptop once and the charger exploded inside the laptop, The laptop even overheated and had to pay £30 to get the charger slot glued to the laptop , Don't ever buy an ASUS laptop - You'll regret it ,
- I have heard Vista is awful - Fancy swapping laptops haha ,
- Thanks and Happy editing :) –Davey2010Talk 10:24, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- So glad you got your computer working again but never turn off the computer when it's doing updates, it even says it on the computer screen I know that some laptops are strong enough to be dropped I am planning to get Windows 10 when it comes available. Thanks for the tip, will not buy a ASUS laptop. Personally I like Dell computers, but that's my personal preference :) £30 seems cheep to get a charger slot fixed. Good deal. Cheers, cheers! :P CookieMonster755 (talk) 15:36, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- I know but at the time I was busy and plus I have no patience , Guess what .... the previous laptop was a Dell ,
- You can't beat Dell seriously , Haha well at the time money was short so it was very very expensive ,
- Windows 10 looks epic - Glad they brought the taskbar back and plus it's roughly similar to Windows 7,
- Tried Windows 8 and well I couldn't stand it , If I have the option of Windows 95 or 8 I'd probably go with 95 ,
- Cheers cheers cheers . –Davey2010Talk 16:09, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

I used to have this Matrix wallpaper in my collection which I considered hilarious untill my laptop went blue. My condolences ;) — Yash! (Y) 19:55, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hahaha I couldn't have that as I'd shit myself everyday of it happening , I done over a thousaund updates on it today ... it then refused and after 4 hours of it saying "Failure to install updates, Reverting changes" I had to do System Restore which seems to have buggered something else up , I kinda thought hmm I'll reset the lot and everything will be fine .... It's been 1 step forward 2 steps back at the moment! , Anyway ranting on as always - Thanks for your message/condolences , –Davey2010Talk 20:08, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

- Sorry to hear of your issues. Last September while carrying bags to a hotel room, I was holding a bag with my old laptop resting it on the floor (in the lobby), not the normal way but the side of it that has the CD drive and USBs, was the only part touching the floor, then I dropped the bag handles and the thing fell flat on the floor. It survived a couple more months, but the fan sounded like it could explode any minute. --AmaryllisGardener talk 21:06, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oh my god!, Well you were lucky that it carried on working , I wonder if I dropped this laptop on the CD drive side it would be an improvement , Saying that a few months ago the fan started making a very loud odd sound yet it wasn't dropped or anything .... So perhaps it's a sign . –Davey2010Talk 21:21, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Fulton's Foods
Hi - I notice you put the photo back in the infobox on Fulton's Foods. I cannot find any precedent for this amongst FTSE 100 or FTSE 250 companies but I am happy to be corrected. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 20:53, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, As far as I know if the article is a stub it's fine to add an image in the box but if on the other hand it's rather big then no.. one shouldn't be added,
- On a personal note I often find having an image under the box with no accompanying text takes up unnecessary space ..... I've amended the logo and image size but I assume you're not too thrilled about that .... So what about if perhaps we had a gallery of images instead ?,
- If you have anything better I'm all ears! :), Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 21:03, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi - I think a gallery of images would be ideal: unfortunately we only have one image at the moment but I like the concept. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 22:05, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Damn, Well I'll do some hunting, I could put the image in a gallery but seems rather pointless just for one image , Anyway thanks for your message and happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 22:11, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Typo in AfD closure
Hey Davey2010, noticed you had a typo in the closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1548 Palomaa. I corrected it at 1548 Palomaa and its talk for you, but the AfD closure typo remains. ― Padenton|✉ 21:01, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Brilliant thank you Padenton - Once I closed it I then realized it was obviously wrong but hoped someone would come along and correct it thank you , Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 21:05, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

AfD review
Hey @Davey2010:! I noticed you were part of the discussion and responsible for the ultimate closure of said discussion in an AfD discussion in December 2014 about the page Katja Glieson after it was marked for deletion. It recently was marked again for proposed deletion by someone else for similar reasons. Upon reviewing, I do tend to agree with the argument set forth by @Jeremy0987:, even though the article has had the proposed deletion flag removed by someone else (probably because it's already been through the AfD process). I was not part of the discussion back in December 2014 and I think your main reason for allowing the article to stay was from a google news search. I've just done another one today, and the subject does not seem to be in the news at all, and upon reviewing many of the articles about the only notable video subject was in, the articles are more about the video rather than the subject. I'm relatively new to Wikipedia so I've been studying up to understand more about the notability requirements, and I'm not sure the article is warranted. Just wondering how we can perhaps escalate for review again. I tried to clean up the article and make it right but I don't want to waste my time if the subject really isn't notable, as I suspect the subject is not. Also, does page creator @Benjackson77: have any thoughts? Jslix201 (talk) 23:12, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, There seems to be quite alot on her although some are only mentions, Personally I think the subject is notable and does deserve an article but ofcourse If you feel different then please nominate it. –Davey2010Talk 01:02, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- What's the best way to nominate it after AfD discussion has been closed? It already got denied from Jeremy0987's nom so yeah, i thought there was some review process to activate. I think notability is pretty questionable, given as you said it's really just mentions and there seems to be little interest in the subject specifically, the interest seems to be more about the video itself. The creator & other performer of the video series subject appeared in only once doesn't even have a wikipedia article. Thanks for the reply and help! Jslix201 (talk) 02:27, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- There's more news articles on her than mentions :), Nope all's you do is renominate (See WP:AFDHOWTO, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 03:20, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- It's been removed again and something else weird has been added instead?! Jslix201 (talk) 04:42, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- I have absolutely no idea why you went to DRV when I just said above you can renominate it ? ..... May aswell be talking to a brick wall. –Davey2010Talk 14:23, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Because I tried to and it kept getting deleted, the user specifically telling me I had to go to DRV. There seems to be some confusion by admins as to the proper procedure, as now it's in DRV, other admins said to go back to a traditional AfD entry. I assure you I was not ignoring you, I did as you suggested and someone else kept taking it away. Jslix201 (talk) 20:40, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ahh no you prodded it which is why it kept getting deleted, You needed to WP:AFD it which is the next step after WP:Prod ,
- I apologize if I came across shitty it's just it's happened before where I've told someone "Do x" and they can & do the complete opposite or whatever they want so thus feels like I've wasted my time but in this case it seems there's been confusion everywhere ,
- If you want to nominate it you need to follow WP:AFDHOWTO which you need to read carefully :), Thanks –Davey2010Talk 20:58, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- Ohhhhhhh ok! lol. Yeah I understand your reaction! Well I've added my thoughts to the Review page, should I start another page at AfD? Jslix201 (talk) 22:00, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- It's entirely up to you really, To be honest I would've nominated it for you along time ago but I would probably !vote Keep which is why I haven't offered, But it's entirely up to you :), Thanks and Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 22:33, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Moorsbus editing
Hello Davey, As you probably guessed, we're a bit new to editing Wikipedia stuff!!! You'll gather who we are from the content, and why we're trying to post - (the comment that Moorsbus is a thing of the past does us no good at all!) If, then, I start a new user account in my name, would you be happy with what we'd tried to post yesterday, and if so, can you let me have a look at what I wrote, again, please, 'cos I kept no record of it.....!# Ta, Eden Blyth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Friends of Moorsbus (talk • contribs) 13:58, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Eden, Haha when you're new here it is a daunting place but it gets easier as time goes on :),
- Anyway unfortunately no it can't really be added - You need to word it as if I guess you're a passenger if you get what I mean .... It has to be worded so it doesn't sound like a company wrote it,
- You can see what you wrote by going to the article and clicking "History" or just by clicking here (I've linked to my reversion instead so you can hopefully see your edit in full which would be on the left of that page), Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 14:18, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Restore the page of James Stunt
Dear @Davey2010:, Recently , an unresponsive Wiki Administrator deleted my work. He hanged a massage on his Talk page User:JamesBWatson : " For personal reasons, I shall be editing Wikipedia at a much reduced rate for some time.I shall try to reply to messages here, but I may take a long while to do so. I am also unlikely to deal with any matters which would involve a lot of checking of editing histories, or other time consuming activity. If you need any help with administrative matters that can't wait, I suggest trying another administrator. "
He deleted my whole research & work of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Stunt . I agree with him , it was deleted because of lack of references in 2011. He ( Administrator ) left a Massage G4: Recreation of a page that was deleted per a deletion discussion But now , i'v added more reliable references & soucres. James Stunt clearly a Notable Subject for a Wikipedia Entry. You can help me to improve it's contents. I'm not a experienced editor like you.
Please check the article again. He is now a Nobale subject. Even his wife Petra (a Notable Celebrity ) Holding her name on Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petra_Stunt
James Stunt got reliable references from BBC America (http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2014/03/picture-this-a-billionaires-sacrifice-likely-to-benefit-britains-art-lovers/) , Telegraph Uk , even from Daily Mail UK & also lot of Media coverages. Even Google search UK ( Notable Box ) showing him as a Businessperson. He is getting many hits on his Wiki page. Use a tool to check it. I'm ready for a Wiki Discussion. Please restore the article. Another Administrator is not replying. I need your help. --Khocon (talk 03:20, 10 June 2015 (UTC) Rakibul Islam Khocon 03:44, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Khocon, With all respect not everyone is on here 24 hours a day,
- Anyways JamesBWatson has already restored it although had he refused to do so there would be a valid reason as to why, also I'm not an admin so wouldn't of been able to restore it anyway,
- Instead of going from one editor to another you may want to wait for that editor to actually reply first ......
- Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 14:33, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Davey2010: Yes he (User:JamesBWatson) reviewed the whole article & restored it. Got a massage from him. I was afraid & serious about his so-called talk page Massage. No , he is a responsive guy :). Thank you for quick reply.--Khocon (talk) 05:00, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Khocon: I see that from when you posted your request on my talk page to when you posted here saying that I was "unresponsive" and "not replying" you waited 24 minutes. There are actually times even longer than that when I am doing other things in my life than editing Wikipedia. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:22, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- @JamesBWatson: I thought , you were not available. You said it on your massage though (Talk Page). Really , i meant no disrespect James. It was a frustrating moment. I'm really sorry about it. Thank you for restoring it.--Khocon (talk) 05:21, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Your close of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/.codes
Please read Wikipedia:Non-admin closure - and in particular WP:BADNAC: "Non-admin closure is not appropriate in any of the following situations:... having expressed an opinion in the discussion or being otherwise involved". I have accordingly reverted your closure. Given the background to this article, and the possibility that the article creator will kick up a fuss (he/she has already alleged some sort of conspiracy over my participation in the AfD) it is important that we get it right. AndyTheGrump (talk) 01:07, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi AndyTheGrump - The AFD is obviously gonna be redirected and I personally see no point in letting the AFD drag on and on when It can be closed, Sure I !voted in it but the outcome is plainly obvious which is why I closed it, Meh you disagreed and I reverted the article/tp close so all's good I guess :). –Davey2010Talk 01:12, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah - if it hadn't been for the background (which you may not have been aware of) I might have let it slide. Though that isn't to say that I'd advise doing it again - it is against policy, and may backfire if someone wants to cause you trouble. Best to avoid handing the Wikilawyers free ammunition. AndyTheGrump (talk) 01:28, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Ah sorry I somehow missed that part - Yeah If I knew you had crap with someone I wouldn't of closed it at all, To be fair tho if anyone ever had any issue with a closure I made I would ofcouse just reopen although it's not everyday I make controversial closures thank the lord , Anyway thanks for the advice :), BTW Sorry about this [16] - I was going through the log and seeing you revert annoyed me a bit but anyway thanks for your message, Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 01:36, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Simon Davies Closure
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
I think this was closed prematurely. There was no consensus. Keep votes expressed doubt, there were move votes, and there were two delete votes. Discussion was sparse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pirlo's Spoon (talk • contribs) 19:33, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- The Keeps outweighted the deleted so consensus was too keep, Sources provided by the Keepers all met WP:BASIC & WP:GNG, To be fair the AFD's been up nearly a month - Some AFDs gain discussions - Some don't - It's the way it is really, By all means go to WP:DRV but I stand by the closure, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 20:06, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Do not delete my entry in the talk space. I am allowed to expressed continued opinion that the article should not be deleted.
- "The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page."
- Secondly, consensus was not reached. "Consensus is not determined by counting heads" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Closing_discussions#Consensus. 3 votes to delete/merge vs 5 votes to keep. One of the keep votes was also less than a simple counting vote as he acknowledged that "there is little on which he has achieved other than rising to this role at quite a young age". ~Peterkingiron. That isn't a consensus. Add my vote to delete, clearly not a consensus.
- Lastly, there are exceptions to sources satisfying basic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#People_notable_for_only_one_event. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_an_indiscriminate_collection_of_information Rules said I have to discuss with you if I disagree there was a consensus.
- Dude I was trying to remove the other Keep !vote which is redundant - Your post is fine, The consensus was to keep and the sources all establish notability so I can't see the AFD being closed any other way, So will you do us both a favour and just move on ? .... As I have told you can either go to WP:DRV or move on ... It's that simple. –Davey2010Talk 01:02, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- I don't see how you can say there was a consensus when it was three votes against, 5 votes Keep, and one of which was qualified. How is that a consensus. That's a slim majority, not a consensus? Are you trying to achieve admin status or something? Either open it back up or escalate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pirlo's Spoon (talk • contribs) 01:22, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- Please see WP:CLOSEAFD which states and I quote "Consensus is not based on a tally of votes, but on reasonable, logical, policy-based arguments." so basically numbers are irrelevent - It's the weight of the discussion that matters, I've expressed up above that I don't plan on being an admin anytime soon, Why would I wanna escalate it ? ... I don't have a problem with my own closure . –Davey2010Talk 01:32, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- I'd quickly like to point out the box above that states "If you feel I've made an error closing an AFD & want it reopened / relisted please let me know," is merely a helpful guide - I don't open every single AFD requested unless I believe I was incorrect in closing it/them - As I said above I 100% stand behind this closure and if you disagree you need to go to DRV, Ofcourse you could wait 5 months and renominate it or you can move on which is actually a better idea .... Consensus was to keep and that's it, Happy editing. –Davey2010Talk 01:38, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- There was no consensus, stating so at this point is just antagonistic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.65.204.101 (talk) 02:17, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Today's articles for improvement weekly vote
- Hello Davey2010:
- This week's voting for TAFI's upcoming weekly collaborations has begun at Week 29 of 2015. Thanks for participating!
A thought
Regarding your post in the TfD RfC: disagreement is welcome, but three people who are frequent TfD participants and who regularly work with templates have volunteered their time helping to address a common problem, and you could decline their offer more thoughtfully and graciously. Opabinia regalis (talk) 06:12, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Opabinia regalis, Because I don't really work over at TFD I obviously have no idea but with AFD If you're not admin you don't close them as delete as it comes under WP:BADNAC, I perhaps could've worded my !vote in a nicer way but the point still stands - You shouldn't close something you can't physically delete, Anyway seeing as you were kind enough to delete this I've reworded it for you [17] :). Anyway thanks for your message and Happy editing :) –Davey2010Talk 14:41, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for rewording. Ha, I hadn't noticed you were also the initiator of that AfD - I was looking for a few good soft-delete trial balloons, since it isn't used much and I think it should be. So thanks for the example!
- Since you're involved in NAC-ing AfDs, it's easy to generalize from there, but the admittedly wordy proposal is attempting to describe why an AfD-style process fails when applied to templates with many transclusions. Because there's an extra step between closing the discussion and deleting the template that doesn't exist at AfD, inability to delete immediately isn't a problem. WP:BADNAC is written with AfD in mind, which is why we're suggesting a change in how the NAC guidelines are interpreted. Opabinia regalis (talk) 21:58, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Haha you're welcome :) Well I'm very glad you trialled it on that particular AFD :) (I should probably admit had you not deleted that I wouldn't of reworded my comment )
- I apologize for the NAC part of my comment - I made it before I was aware of the AFD and completely forgot to remove it,
- Personally I still disagree with non-admins closing but hey ho good luck with your proposal :)
- Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 22:16, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Why is that, if you don't mind me asking? Alakzi (talk) 22:34, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Because I think it'd just cause confusion, I just believe anyone closing a discussion should be an admin first, I should've amended the TFD comment but I'm past caring , Screwed with it enough for one day . –Davey2010Talk 22:39, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Adminship
You're too kind, and I too undeserving. Thanks especially for the kind words over at my RfA; I'll do my best to be worthy of your trust. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 20:53, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Arr you're more than welcome Ser Amantio di Nicolao, You gained my trust the second you became an admin - Sure you'll perhaps make mistakes here & there but no one's perfect - I've been here 2-3 years and I still cock up so don't worry , Happy editing and Congratulations again :) –Davey2010Talk 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Arbitration enforcement arbitration case opened
By motion, the committee authorises the following injunction effective immediately:
- The [Arbitration enforcement] case [request] is to be opened forthwith and entitled "Arbitration enforcement";
- During the case, no user who has commented about this matter on the AN page, the AE page or the Case Requests page, may take or initiate administrative action involving any of the named parties in this case.

You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has, per the above, accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Arbitration enforcement. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Arbitration enforcement/Evidence. Please add your evidence by July 13, 2015, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Arbitration enforcement/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. Apologies for the potential duplicate message. - Well what fun this'll be!, Thanks anyway. –Davey2010Talk 02:57, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
