I'd also like to welcome you, David, even though you've been here occasionally over the past two years. I do need to make you aware of Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policies. While you are welcome to comment on the talk pages of any articles about you or your work, it is Wikipedia policy for us to avoid writing about ourselves in articles. You can revert vandalism, and correct misinformation in your bio, but it is policy to not write autobiographical pieces. I hope you contribute to Wikipedia in other ways, however, as we always need skilled writers and editors (and I confess I am a fan of your work). If you have any questions about policy, feel free to ask me or another admin. Sláinte Mhaith, - Kathryn NicDhàna ♫♦♫ 06:06, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello again. I got a chance to look over the history of the article, and it looks like there's been some confusing stuff going on there, with people changing around place of birth, where you live, and stuff like that. Could you help straighten that out? Location, dates, hard data like that (especially if it can be sourced) is OK for you to fix yourself. Though if you want to be totally kosher about it you could lay it out at Talk:David Seals. Tapadh Leibh! - Kathryn NicDhàna ♫♦♫ 18:30, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, David Seals. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article David Seals, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
- instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Please restrict yourself to making suggestions on the article talk page or reverting blatant vandalism. It is also against Wikipedia policy to insert commercial links (such as the ones to amazon.com). - CorbieV ☊ ☼ 18:24, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

editPlease do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to David Seals, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Can you please respond to the concerns here, rather than breaking the code on your bio article? - CorbieV ☊ ☼ 20:33, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
