Hello Dingy: Could you please go to the images you've uploaded and make a note on them about their copyright status? These are really good illustrations and it would be a pity if we couldn't keep them in the article. Thanks, --Wtshymanski 03:48, 25 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for your encouragements, I did a lot of biographies for the French wiki, mainly on Brazilian players, I my town of Lyon we have a good team (Olympique Lyonnais) with 3 excellent brazilian players, I start to write articles on them and then will do some more. Your help is appreciated, I saw what you did on the articles yesterday. A+ (as we say in France) Dingy 16:41, 10 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Cerezo

edit

Hi, about the Cerezo article, I think that you should merge its content to the Toninho Cerezo article, and create a redirect (redirecting Cerezo to Toninho Cerezo). Your article is much better than the other one, however, this former football player is better known as Toninho Cerezo, and this is the reason why is better to redirect Cerezo to Toninho Cerezo. Anyway, keep up the good work. Regards, Carioca 05:00, 11 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Right, I did not saw it, in Europe we called him generally "Cerezo". I made the changes as you indicated Thanks. My next one is Julio César da Silva, is it done already ? Dingy 05:09, 11 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

The rigth form of "Pepe"

edit

I'm Renan, from Brazil, and i'm here to tell you that the right form to write José Macia's nickname is "Pepe", not "Pépé".

Thanks!

OK I will make the change, in fact the word is the same in French, but saw it differently in english. thanksDingy 06:20, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Renan is correct. The correct spelling of José Macia's nickname is Pepe. However, as there is aleready an article called Pepe, the better option is to use the move button and move the Pépé article to something like Pepe (footballer) or Pepe (football player). If you need any help, please, contact me. Keep up the good work, Dingy. Regards, Carioca 16:43, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

OK , done, moved to Pepe (footballer) G'day Dingy 17:16, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Christophe Lamaison

Hey thanks. Yeah, I've struggled to find really good resources, and clearly some aren't in English. Any more refs would be great. I'm going to get the article done as soon as I can. Are there any refs out there saying what clubs he played for and when? I don't think I have any of those yet. - Shudda talk 10:23, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

here it says that he played with (in this order)  : Peyrehorade, Bayonne, Brive, S.U. Agen, Bayonne. It is the information we have in the French text, no date yet but I will try to find something. He played with Brive when they won the European cup in 1997 and in 2000 when they won the French cup. In 2002 he won the French championship with Agen. He finished his career with Bayonne. Dingy 11:51, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
This reference [1], in english, gives the information on one part of his career :
CA Brive from 1996 to 2000
SU Agen from 2000 to 2002, it fits with the other information
Bayonne from 2002 to 2004
Saint Médard 2004 (Federale 2)
Dingy 11:57, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it. Only other thing, did he retire after playing for Saint Medard in 2004? I was looking into that but couldn't find out. - Shudda talk 21:44, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
in [2] (discussion in French) it shows that he played durng the 2005-2006 season, until the final round in May 2006. he was then 35.. probably his last season Dingy 02:49, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, he may have retired now, but that ref is prob not acceptable, it's a message-board. Would need something more verifiable. Thanks for looking though. - Shudda talk 02:55, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

French rugby team

Hi Dingy, I noticed that you have worked on the French rugby team on the FR wikipedia, and I thought maybe if you get any spare time you could translate some of that stuff over to France national rugby union team. For example, the section on the colours/uniform and home grounds would be fantastic. But yeah, if you can do anything like that, it would be really great. Cheers. Hi Cvene64, I have just finished the work on this article in french, in a few days I plan to propose it as Feature article, concerning the translation I will do something in a few days, of course afterwards you will have to check the wording ... Dingy 02:31, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hi, thanks very much for the info on the crest and uniform, it really adds so much to the page. Great job. And congratulations on all the work that has been done on the FR wiki rugby articles (World Cup, 6N etc are all really really great). Hey. Sorry to bug you like I do, but was wondering if could you help with the Waisale Serevi article? The specific section of the article i'm talking about is the bit about his French clubs, Stade Montois, then Stade Bordelais. Coaches of France national rugby union team

edit

Hey, while France national rugby union team is still the collaboration I want to get as much of it done as possible. I was wondering if you knew of a reference that gives a list of coaches of the team? The list does not need to go back to 1903, but should probably include the last 40 years (the whole idea of a coach not popular many years ago, so a comprehensive list will be impossible). Anyway, please let me know where I can get a list of coaches, even if it's only the last twenty years. - Shudda talk 11:39, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, when I wrote the French version I could not find the kind of list that you are looking for, I had to define one by looking into the history of the national team and detect the places where the replacement of the coach was mentionned (E.Escot, J.Rivière, Un siècle de rugby, Ed. Calmann-Lévy, 1997 (ISBN 2-7021-2784-3) ( Henri Garcia, La légende du tournoi, Minerva, 2005, 254 p (ISBN 2-8307-0793-1) Dingy 12:31, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
