Please do not revert copyrighted material
editHello Dinovate, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. David.moreno72 11:36, 26 March 2017 (UTC)

editPlease do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND). While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of The Osasu Show
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Osasu Show, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. SamHolt6 (talk) 04:15, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

editHi, thanks for message. If you post an article it will be assessed as it stands. If you don't want that to happen, you should write it as a draft. I refer to the Osasu Show unless I state otherwise, but my comments are common to all your articles. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what they organisation claims or interviewing its management. Of your six references, four were dead links and two didn't mention the show. It's clear that some of the refs wouldn't have been acceptable, as defined above, even if they worked. Note that references should not be bare urls
- It's not clear if this is a TV show or part of an aid programme. either way, it's not clear why it's notable. There is no indication if it's a real TV programme or an internet show, but there are no viewing figures, indication of where the TV company is based (beyond Nigeria) or independent evaluation of outcomes. It looks like one of thousands of campaign websites
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: popularly referred... provides information from state actors to non-state actors... environmental policies that cuts across borders... creates an environment for critical discussions on the improvement of societal perceptions and ideologies... caters to an audience of both the elite and masses... viewers are interested in high level policy implementation, current affairs new and sustainable development that promotes economic growth, quality infrastructure, and improved health and well being for all Nigerians irrespective of social class... a plethora— I can't see a single real fact in the article, just puff for the show
- I want to categorically state that these are not promo materials.— not really for you to judge. They are simply pages I created for a TV show and a foundation— isn't that what promotion means?
- I didn't check this article's current version, but I note that copyright material had been revdeled, and I deleted your PIND article for obvious copyright violation. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. The copied site was marked . We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial but there is no indication that the copied site allows free use. Text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- I note that you have created a group of closely related articles, and if you have a conflict of interest, you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for the organisation, TV show, or other related organisation or person, or otherwise are acting on their behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Dinovate. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Dinovate|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
Before attempting to write an article again, please check that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and ensure that you can find working independent third party sources. Also read this important guidance for writing articles. You must also reply to the COI request above
The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See other stuff exists. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:37, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Adewale Aladejana
editHello, Dinovate,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Adewale Aladejana should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adewale Aladejana .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

editHello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Tolu Adesina. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Hello, Dinovate. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Sijibomi Ogundele, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

The article Wale Aladejana has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not meet WP:GNG, WP:NBIO. Sources provided are unreliable, and even if they were reliable, they do not provide significant independent coverage of the subject, and mostly include photos of the subject at various publicity events as well as quotes.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 20:00, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
