Re: more dino images
editRegarding the Pachyrhinosaurus skull, the copyright info I got from the page says, among other things (and it's all on the Wikipage): "The photographs may be used for any non-commercial, non-profit use without prior permission." I thought that qualified for Wikipedia, but if it doesn't, I will be glad to delete it. I'm a little new to adding photos.
I am less sure about the Byronosaurus, but it does say: "The images may be used for the personal education of website visitors." and so I was hoping that worked too. Sorry if I made a mistake!
Re: dino images
edit(As you mentioned on my talk page). You're absolutely right about commons:Image:Allosaurus2.jpg it is a Ceratosaurus! I did not read the article where I found it too carefully! I have already used it in Wikijunior_Dinosaurs/Allosaurus and will revert the change.
But from the other sources that I have seen, this looks to me like a more accurate picture of the Ceratosaurus than the one currently present on the Ceratosaurus page. Maybe it should replace the image. But you seem to have more knowledge about dinosaurs, so I'll leave it up to you. Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs!
editWelcome to Wikipedia & to Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs! I hope you have an excellent time on the project. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask me at all. Right now, the project is trying to create an article for every single dinosaur on the List of dinosaurs list. Have a good day, Spawn Man 23:09, 9 March 2006 (UTC).
New Task bar
editI've successfully created an open list of tasks on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs main page for those who would actually like to know what to do with their time on the project. Add tasks as you wish, no too long though! Add your name to tasks you wish to be part of & that's as complicated as it gets... Thanks, Spawn Man 23:34, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Dinosaur images
editNo we cannot use any of the images off the site you posted on my talk page. Unfortunately, without permission from the site or creator, we cannot upload them. If you do, they will probably be deleted. Sorry, Spawn Man 07:09, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Type O
editI wasnt being personal with you. The violation of NPOV probally wasnt on purpose, but things suchs as 'beautifull', 'amazing', etc etc violate WP:NPOV. Sadly i was in a bad, and ADHD, mood, so i just reverted the lot of it. If you wish to revert me, please do so, but please follow WP:NPOV and rewrite most of what is there. WikiProject Dinosaurs
editHi Dudo!
There's currently less than 100 dinosaurs left on the Missing dinosaur page. We've come a long way! I was thinking that since there's just under 100 dinosaurs left, and since there are 25 of us signed on for the project, if we each wrote about four articles, we'd be done! Well, not "done", obviously, as many of the articles are in need of expansion. But then we could focus on expansion and other things.
You could take, say, Marshosaurus, Mendozasaurus, Microhadrosaurus, and Mongolosaurus.
It's just an idea, of course, and you're of course not obligated and can do whatever you like; I just figured I'd mention the idea, and see if you were interested. No harm, right?
Take care, --Firsfron 06:28, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Yup, yup - done :) --Dudo2 13:17, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Wow, that was fast, Dudo. Great job. We can add more to these, but you have created some nice stubs. Thank you! :)--Firsfron 17:34, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Youre welcome :) And thank you for correcting my english mistakes, english is not my mother tongue, but though, I try to do my best. I dont know if its essential to concentrate on these four dinos, since they seem to me a bit unimportant in the sence they are whether dubious or little known. Instead, later on, Im planning to spend some time on adding info or re-writting some non-theropod articles (mostly Ornithischian), since I think a stub on my beloved Lurdusaurus is not enough :) Thus my little slovak "mother wiki" has to wait a while. --Dudo2 20:11, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Your English is pretty accurate. Thanks for the fixes on my Noasaurus article. The edits look good. If you visit the List of dinosaurs page, and start clicking, you'll find many articles in great need of expansion, and I know you said earlier that you wanted to concentrate on dinosaur articles mostly in your native Slovak tongue, but you're still more than welcome to add to any article. Thanks for participating in the doing-four-articles collaboration, and good luck with Lurdusaurus! --Firsfron 21:03, 24 April 2006 (UTC) :)
You're invited :)
editCheirotherium discussion
editThanks for your help - I've now changed the name of the article to Chirotherium, with a 'redirect' from Cheirotherium. - Ballista 06:46, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Nice edit - great stuff - Ballista 04:29, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome :) --Dudo2 11:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to the new WikiProject Bodybuilding!
editThat's fine, but you have to add it. Have you read the discussion page? There have been attempts to delete the page and an agreement was reached that new ppl need sources adding with the name.Halbared 13:48, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi Dudo!
I'm planning to send Stegosaurus to Featured Article candidacy. The article failed its first nomination, but user:Casliber and I have been hard at work fixing stuff. As you're listed as a member of Wikipedia: WikiProject Dinosaurs, I figured I'd drop you a line and see if there was anything you thought should be added/removed/cited on the article before it is sent to FAC. We definitely want it to pass! :)
(Feel free to make any edits on the article itself, comment on the talk page, or leave a note on my talk page). Thanks for your time, Firsfron of Ronchester 19:30, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
