Welcome!

Hello, Dukebaker, and welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

In addition, you are encouraged (but not required) to cite your sources. Wikipedia:Citation templates has some useful fill-in-the-blank type things that may make that easier, but feel free not to use them if you find them confusing.

You may want to look at some of Wikipedia's best work to get an idea of what we are aiming at.

You are invited to use your userpage to tell us a little about yourself; yours is here.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on this page (which is your talk page) and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. You also might be interested in being adopted by Wikipedia's Adopt-a-user program. Again, welcome!

Article about Formation of the Sun and Planets

edit

I read your article about the formation of the sun and planets, and while it is interesting I regret to inform you that it's not exactly the kind of think Wikipedia looks for. Please look at some of the links in the welcome message above this, and also take a look at our policy on original research, which is what your contribution is. Also, you put your name on the article, and used "I" in it a lot, and described your credentials. Please read Wikipedia's page about how contributions are licensed in regards to copyright, to see why that's a mistake.

You are more than welcome to contribute your knowledge and expertiese to Wikipedia, and to describe your credentials on your userpage (it's linked in the welcome message above this). However, I hope you can understand why I have nominated your first contribution for deletion. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:52, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

(In response to your comment on my talk page) Have you tried getting your theory published in a scientific journal? You might try ArXiv.org[1], or Physical Review D[2]. Look at scientific journal for more. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the help. I'll try that approach. I was just hoping I could get the Wikipedians to jump me first. ````

Your draft article, User:Dukebaker/sandbox

edit

Hello Dukebaker. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Dukebaker/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 12:00, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

You are free to edit the content of User:Dukebaker/The Solar System Built by an Engineer during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 14:59, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry that we have to be so unwelcoming but, as I am sure has been explained to you already, an encyclopedia is not a place for publishing new ideas. The fundamental content policy Wikipedia:No original research includes:

"If no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it. If you discover something new, Wikipedia is not the place to announce such a discovery."
