Thumbnails

BTW, I like the way you added thumbnail images to the NRHP list pages. I tried out the same idea on the List of crossings of the Halifax River, and I think it turned out well. It gave some life to an otherwise boring list page. (gamweb nli) 199.72.35.45 (talk) 23:32, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. If we've got the pictures, let's use 'em, I say. My goal is to visit and get photos of every NRHP site in Florida, doncha know. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 23:44, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Mary McLeod Bethune Home

I like your photos of this site! I had left the reqphoto tag on it so that when they are finally finished with rennovations, someone would get a good pic of it at that point. I don't care enough about it to add it back, but just wanted to share my thought process in leaving it there. Lvklock (talk) 00:44, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

That's cool. I'm thinking maybe of contacting the college, to find out when they expect to finish, then I can go back and get photos of it when it's done. But I believe what's there now should suffice, doncha know. :) If you like those, you should check the ones I got for Turtle Mound. --Ebyabe (talk) 01:52, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Category?

Thanks for edits such as this and this, but how does "refine category" describe what you did? Nyttend (talk) 12:58, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I forgot to change the edit summary in AWB. I didn't notice until I'd done a bunch of changes. Ironic, that one can't edit the edit summaries. :( --Ebyabe (talk) 23:11, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I left a quick question there. Regards, –Juliancolton | Talk 22:09, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

FL MPS entries

Hey, I was looking for the article for Reid-Woods House, Sarasota, Florida, was puzzled by getting a red-link for it from Reid House disambig page. Eventually found it listed in National Register of Historic Places listings in Manatee County, Florida, as pipelinked to Whitfield Estates Subdivision MPS.

About this one, is it an NRIS error to list it in Manatee County? Or does Sarasota city extend out of Sarasota County (which has a different Reid house)? If it's an error, i'd like to add it to wp:NRIS info issues.

Also, I wikilinked other entries in the MPS page, so now there are red-links to address. :) Hope u don't mind! Cheers, doncram (talk) 23:28, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

No, the NRIS is right. Part of the city of Sarasota extends north into Manatee. There are a few listings for Sarasota in Manatee County. It can be confusing to a non-Floridian. Heck, it confused me, and I've lived here for decades!
As far as the other entries on the MPS, that's fine. Actually, you found one of my dirty little secrets. See, I de-redlinked the Florida NRHPs. Yeah, they're mostly stubs, but with about a thousand to make, if I'd done articles for each, it would've taken me forever. Plus there was creating stubs for some of the towns and such. When I de-redlink, I de-redlink! Anyway, I think by the time I got to Sarasota, I'd "discovered" the MPS thing. So I cheated and created the MPS list, to save making the articles until later. Which I obviously didn't, 'cause I got sidetracked with other stuff, doncha know. I did it with some of the ones in Volusia County too. There, now you know. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 23:44, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Parkside Elementary School is a redirect to some Virginia schools, but is on the Kay County, Oklahoma list. Not sure how to fix. Could ya? --Ebyabe (talk) 00:22, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, I've come across your MPS shenanigans before! You may have even confessed about them before, too. :) But, confession accepted, u r absolved. Actually i pretty much always find that Florida articles, or at least redirects to MPSs, have been created, which helps me in making dab pages acceptable (they have to include at least some bluelinks). I depend upon FL, MD, MA often, so i don't have to create new articles myself. For these Whitfield MPS ones, you hadn't set up redirects, so i knew to suspect ebyabe-MPS-shenans ("ems").
Am doing Parkside elementary now. Ah, it is a newish listing, so not in Elkman. Putting down as Parkside Elementary School (Blackwell, Oklahoma). Thanks, any notice like that to my talk page or however should be enough for me. Here it was helpful to know it was in the Kay county list that you found it. Thanks, doncram (talk) 01:05, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I moved to Manatee County when I was 12 years old. The city of Sarasota does not cross the county line into Manatee but the Sarasota postal delivery does. That's what causes the confusion. Locals call it Whifield Estates or Whitfield. There is a CDP called Whitfield, Florida, which more or less covers this area. I was thinking about putting that in each of the articles. BTW the town of Longboat Key, Florida on the beach does straddle the Manatee-Sarasota county line, and as far as I know it's the only municipality in Florida that is in more than one county. Melrose, Florida, is an unincorporated place where 4 counties meet in North Florida, but that's another story. clariosophic (talk) 02:11, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay i see you've edited the article some now, but i don't really understand what a CDP is. So I am not sure what town Reid-Woods House is in then, and whether there is an error to report at wp:NRIS info issues. Is it in a town, or an unincorporated area of Manatee county? I guess it is not an error, that it is recorded correctly in Manatee county and being near to Sarasota? I can imaging Sarasota working fine for mail delivery. So no error i guess. doncram (talk) 00:18, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
CDP = Census-Designated Place. As opposed to cities, towns, and unicorporated communities, ya see. --Ebyabe (talk) 00:20, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
I know that is what it stands for, acronym-wise, but i don't know what it is good for. I think CDPs change with every census, they are a temporary area that can span multiple legal villages, towns, cities and chunks of unincorporated areas. To say a house is in a certain CDP does not tell me which town or city or what it is in. No one speaks CDPs. So, I am tending toward disliking mentioning them ever in NRHP articles.... doncram (talk) 01:14, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I misunderstood, and thought you didn't know what CDP meant. I agree, mentioning them in an NRHP article is kinda useless. --Ebyabe (talk) 01:36, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Weird. And I'm surprised about Melrose. I've driven thru there numerous times on the way to St. Augustine, and took photos for the historic district. I knew about Alachua and Putnam, but didn't realize it spills over into Clay and Bradford. Oh, there's also Evinston, which is mostly in Alachua but has a bit in Marion County. It's the home of home to the Evinston Community Store and Post Office. --Ebyabe (talk) 02:24, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

List of Registered Historic Buildings in Daytona Beach, Florida

After going through some history books in the local public library, I think I have some more of the "Historic Districts" figured out, in List of Registered Historic Buildings in Daytona Beach, Florida

  • Daytona Beach Surfside Historic District - I believe this represents the old town of Daytona Beach (Goodall Post Office) that merged with Seabreeze and Daytona in 1926. The street borders are about right.
  • Seabreeze Historic District - Represents old town of Seabreeze, discussed furthur up.
  • South Peninsula Historic District - This one is a little tricky, since only East and West borders are defined; no North or South border of the district is spelled out (someone goofed when submitting to NRHP). While reading the area's history, I discovered there was a disputed area in 1924, both old Daytona Beach and Port Orange wanted to annex the beach peninsula immediately south of Daytona Beach, all the way to the Ponce Inlet waterway. The residents living there did not want to join either one of those two towns, instead they wanted to join mainland Daytona. The Florida State Legislature went ahead and gave this area to Daytona (greatly reduced in size later; City of Daytona Beach Shores and Town of Ponce Inlet were organized later). My guess is, that this area south of US 92 is supposed to be the South Peninsula Historic District. I might have to speak with the City Fathers to confirm what exactly the district represents.

I found some other neat things in Daytona's history. Most of the older histories I found are kind of "plain vanilla" shall we say - there are little hints of things, without spelling them out. A later history I found (written about 10 years ago) spells out a lot of juicy details.

The most notorious Mayor was Edward Armstrong (1927-1937). The older books call him the greatest mayor the city had; the newer book calls him the most corrupt mayor the city had (LOL). Governor David Sholtz tried to remove him from office in 1936. I am trying to put together a [List of Mayors of Daytona Beach], but I have not found any written list anywhere yet. I might have to go to City Hall to see what records they have to fill in the gaps.

The KKK penetrated the city in the early 20th century, they had some political power about 1910-1930. Gamweb (talk) 22:29, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

disambiguating

Hey, we've passed 1,000 NRHP disambiguation pages, and I have been occasionally working away at an old list of disambig pages needed which i think you set up, now linked at wp:NRHPdab. I'm glad to see you've been developing List of RHPs in OK. To let you know, I am happy to do the work of setting up disambiguation pages if, in the process of table-izing, you notice that something is needed. Like, for Richardson Building in National Register of Historic Places listings in Canadian County, Oklahoma, you might have noticed that the new table would have first linked to an unrelated place, at Richardson Building, and then you set up or left the entry as a red-link to "Richardson Building (Union City)". In the future, if you'd be willing to start a dab page and tag it with {{NRHP dab needing cleanup}}, or if you would just notify me by a note at wp:NRHPdab, I'd be happy to address it further, as I have been doing with/for Sanfranman59. I just think it is easy at the point of laying in new list-tables, to check the blue-links they come in with and to identify that a dab page is needed. Otherwise, it is hard to detect those. Thanks! doncram (talk) 05:28, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

I thought I detected you following and creating disamb pages. :) Good gracious, over 1,000?! I did set up the first few initial ones, yes. We've come a long way, baby.
I've been trying to catch the ambiguous ones in Oklahoma. I understand your approach now. I'll try to remember to do one of the options. My goal is to do about 10 counties a day (give or take, depending on size) until they're done. I went for the worst (that is, the counties with the most listings) first, to get them out of the way. After Oklahoma, not sure what next. Probably the Carolinas and Tennessee. Thanks for the help! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 23:33, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes indeed a long way. Good you understand. You might especially watch for any old list item ones with just (City) or just (State) disambiguation, such as "St. Joseph's Cathedral (Oklahoma)" and "St. Paul's Cathedral (Oklahoma)" that were in the Oklahoma County NRHP list-article that way (i think) and that you left that way. In the dab pages St. Joseph's Cathedral and St. Paul's Cathedral, i think one had the entry set up as (City, State), and one was strangely missing any entry at all for the Oklahoma NRHP, so i added it. Also, take note, courthouse dab pages are the only ones where i leave (State)-type disambiguation in place, but some courthouse dab pages use (City, State), so I do hope you will check what a given courthouse dab uses, so what you leave in the Oklahoma list will link to the same red- or blue-link for a given courthouse. Basically, the table-installation time is good, efficient time to check that temporary blue-links link to either an article or to a proper dab page that reflects the current entry of interest and shows how it should be set up in the list-article. Usually i cannot / am not going to follow someone around closely like i did for Oklahoma for a spell yesterday. Thanks! I am seriously glad you've taken on Oklahoma and hope u may continue onto others, too. I've felt very bogged down in these state lists, have been sadly giving up on getting them done by July 4. Perhaps by birthday 3? doncram (talk) 01:22, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Created Williams School dab with link to new stub Williams School (Cameron, Oklahoma), but there seems to be only one Summerfield School so not creating that. I use Elkman's who-has tool, at http://www2.elkman.net/nrhp/whohas.php to figure out if i can/should start a dab. Like it shows just one exactly named Williams School, but also a hyphenated name, which is enough for me to go with. Surely there are more non-NRHP Williams Schools, too, that will be added gradually by others, but we just need to know of at least two to make a dab. Also, note i find more NRHP ones by searching on just "Williams" and then searching within those results for "School", thereby finding ones like "Williams, Roger, School". But there's just one school in the "Summerfield" output. doncram (talk) 01:39, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

You mentioned going onto NC, SC, or TN next. Actually Sanfranman59 has been working a long time on NC, so it probably will be done soon, and SC is nearly done mostly by me (with Kudzuvine developing them further, at least as an eager consumer of new list-tables). TN and 3 other big states to be done, including AR which i have made a serious dent in. Less than 8,000 NRHPs remaining. If u did 10 counties/day, say that's 200, that's just 40 days to finish all. The non-state ones are painful but i finished Puerto Rico, the biggest chunk. And SF is going at his own speed, and Nyttend might do some more, and I am willing to put in more effort. So if u would be into it, we could meet a 4th of July goal after all, if you would be game. I'd like that. doncram (talk) 01:58, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey, we're all doing pretty good. Hurrah, team! :) I'll keep going, and we'll see how far we get. --Ebyabe (talk) 02:17, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay, well i am revved up and proceeding along with table-izing too then. Franklin Hall and Bowers School disambigs set up, although i didn't find the Mississippi landmark of the Franklin Hall name, which you had mentioned, to include. I can keep current with your dab requests no problemo. doncram (talk) 00:09, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Frisco Station dab set up, and Frisco Station (Idabel, Oklahoma) started as a stub, so there is at least one meaningful place covered in the disambig. I tagged the other one with "advertisement", too. Someone could put it up for AfD, frankly, but i don't want to go there now myself. doncram (talk) 01:16, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Great about getting Oklahoma done into tables! Lvklock set up a tracking table at Wikipedia:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places/ProgressNRHPlistsByState, perhaps along lines you were suggesting recently. Could you take a look at that and add whatever? I recorded OK done by u already. Also, I'll address those dab issues that you posted to my Talk page and will check them off there, probably without otherwise reporting back. Yes, the "Initial Point" reference you provided is interesting. A new article should link to other survey beginning points we have for what was the Northwest Territories survey (a PA NHL i think), and one or a few more that are NRHP listed. Thanks! doncram (talk) 23:56, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Amazing how fast u were with List of RHPs in SD. Great! I'll do those dab fixups soon enough. I don't know how you can be so fast though. You may be doing less of the optional stuff that i or some others would, and also maybe you're speed is partly enabled by all the work i've been putting into setting up disambig pages. Actually ur just listing the situations where dab fixups are needed is a lot more efficient than starting a new dab page and adding a {{NRHP dab needing cleanup}} tag, which is what SFman has usually been doing, too. That's fine. Also maybe you don't address town redlinks the same way, and maybe other stuff. Also you may just be really fast / smart in how you edit, relative to me. For me, anyhow, the two things that matter is identifying the dab fixups needed, and capturing any useful info in the old list entries. Sometimes just the presence of an old list entry that is not in the new table is an indication of an NRIS error of omission. I don't know if your process would capture/record that or not. I think any other stuff like town name fixups can be done later, those are the two things that seem to need to be done at the moment of table add-in. doncram (talk) 02:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm trying to focus on creating the tables and the separate pages for them. I've found that if I try to do too much research, I get sidetracked and less efficient. Haven't been dealing with the town/city redlinks, as I don't know the states well enough to know if they're valid or not. Actually, I have checked some here and there, and they're mostly small towns, or even ghost towns, that obviously never got stubs created for them. I've been going primarily by Elkman's table creator. It looks like you and others have done a lot of the dabbing already on the pages. I am checking the blue links, and in the rare cases necessary, I've sent the info to you for dabbing. That said, I'm going to work on the few South Carolina ones that needed research (I've moved all the individual counties to their own pages). That's the one thing I think is really needed, as table-izing does make the pages bigger and load slower. That's probably what I'll be doing for the next little while. Anyhoo, later! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 23:17, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Since I enjoy and respect your NRHP work, I'm wondering if your could take a minute to look at this list I put up for peer review. I'd very much appreciate and value your input. Thanks. Lvklock Lvklock (talk) 16:16, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Suwannee River bridges

I was wondering if you might have some photos of Suwannee River bridges that you could add to this List of crossings of the Suwannee River ? Gamweb (talk) 12:56, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Nope. I can add them to my list, as one of my planned roadtrips is to hit the state parks in that area. Also will include the panhandle ones, as I'm going to go back up past Tallahassee again eventually, prolly near the end of the year. If there are any other crossing lists, let me know. Especially if you do ones for Rainbow River, Withlacoochee River, Silver River and Ocklawaha River. I like taking bridge and river pictures. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 22:07, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

  The Indiana Barnstar
I never knew Indiana was so historical! Thanks for making a new page patrollers' job enjoyable.I dream of horses (talk) 01:20, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Why thank you! I'm just doing it as part of the NRHP project. It's one of the last that's not been table-ized, doncha know. Feel free to check after and fix anything I've done, and add more photos! I'm from Florida, and the closest I've gotten to Indiana was driving thru Cincinnati on the way to New Jersey on a very roundabout roadtrip, so there's probably stuff I'm missing. Anyway, thanks for the barnstar! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 01:27, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Tennessee lists

Just wanted to let you know — because of the many small counties (fifteen counties have fewer than five listings), I've merged some of your smaller lists back into the statewide list. Everything has tables now. Nyttend (talk) 22:49, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

OK. How'd you make all the lists so fast? I figured it'd take me the weekend to finish. Now what'll I do? :) I'm going on to Indiana. At some point, I think all the primary state lists should have their tables moved to separate pages, so they'll load faster. Good work, keep on keepin' on. Cheers! --Ebyabe (talk) 22:54, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, could you look at the South Carolina list. There are only three counties left on it to fix (the ones with question marks by the numbers). If not, that's alright. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 22:56, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Look at my contributions history over the last few days: I've done a little, but not much, and there's almost nothing that's not NRHP-related. I've been spending most of my computer time working on these lists in Notepad. Now I'm off to my watchlist to clean up vandalism from Monday...Nyttend (talk) 23:02, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Just checking to see if u two were talking, good, cause List of RHPs in TN was changing back and forth crazy-like. About whether all the counties should have separate lists, or whether the tables should be on separate pages, could that be discussed at wt:NRHP? I opened thread with title about small counties, that could be expanded. Actually maybe i would agree that the tables of counties should be in a fast-loading front page. But, then, how to name a list-article which is the set of all smaller counties, not yet organized by geographic sections of the state? Maybe geo-reorg to be required first? Anyhow, worth wt:NRHP airtime, i think. doncram (talk) 23:03, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Yep, it is worth discussing. I feels kind of silly creating pages for counties with only one listing, for example. BTW, I'm mostly using Microsoft Excel as my aid. I wrote a macro in it to do a lot of search-and-replace stuff (junction for jct., miles for mi., etc.). I'll put my two cents worth in over at the proj. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 23:12, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
About what to do next, please do move on to IN, MO, and AR if u like. I did one more county, Hamilton, in IN today, because Reywas92 asked me about one listing there, but otherwise i am not touching it. Lvk and i were working on AR and MO but i am happy if some or all of the remaining counties get done. Virgin Islands, Guam and Micronesia are not insignificant, either. I have a long way to go in cleanup within Category:NRHP dab needing cleanup. NC also needs work and i don't know what SFman thinks about others helping there. I asked him before about a finishing up campaign (which is officially not happening because there was little public interest) and i think he doesn't want to be deadline-pressured. doncram (talk) 23:27, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
I've been doing some in AR and some in MO, but would be happy to have someone pick one while I keep on in the other. Just lemme know if you want me to stop work in one or the other. I also have some peer review stuff to do on the Syracuse list (I got pics of that newest listing), so I've got plenty to do. :) Lvklock (talk) 23:59, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I got all the counties. Nyttend (talk) 20:05, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
That's what I thought. Danke! --Ebyabe (talk) 20:26, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

NRHP lists

It's nice what you do about NRHP lists, but you went way too far by creating lists with AWB. There is absolutely no reason to have National Register of Historic Places listings in Warren County, Indiana when it only has three members. There is National Register of Historic Places listings in Indiana for a purpose. Only the counties with the very most NRHPs should be split out. There are 3,077 counties in the United States, and there should not be a list for every single one of them! Statewide lists are perfectly fine. Creating more specific lists just dilutes the quality. I could even take some of them to WP:FLC, but these short ones immediately fail. I see above that National Register of Historic Places listings in Crawford County, Indiana was tagged for speedy deletion. While speedy isn't the best way to take care of it, for goodness's sake, there's only one thing on it! The title's even wrong, it should be National Register of Historic Places ''listing'' in Crawford County, Indiana. It's great that you are also putting them into tables, but there should not be so many short lists. Please, stop creating these stub lists. If you don't, I will have to merge and redirect them. Thanks, Reywas92Talk 16:36, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

OK. --Ebyabe (talk) 16:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I'd be willing to help out in any way, there just doesn't need to be hundreds of short lists when a longer state list is just fine. It's okay to split for counties with the most, but for smaller counties it's completely unnecessary. Reywas92Talk 16:49, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

And just a helpful note: Template:dts is used to sort dates in tables, so you don't have to use it in infoboxes, such as in Elwood Haynes Museum. Reywas92Talk 16:58, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I added some commentary on the Indiana NRHP talk page. I sort of agree with you, strangely enough. :) BTW, thanks for joining our project! If you can, get more photos of properties up there (I'm in Florida). I'd be out and about down here taking pictures if the weather weren't so crappy. Later. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 17:21, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

NHL map

I see that you created Template:Alabama NHLs map and Template:Florida NHLs map. I made Template:Indiana NHLs map, but it's not perfect. Could you please review it and fix any problems? For those with location=left, it just floats centered over the dot, not to the left. It's also a bit crowded with the ones in the same location. Thanks so much! Reywas92Talk 03:18, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Okey-dokey, I'll see what I can do. For some, you have to create a 1px dot to attach the name separately. --Ebyabe (talk) 01:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Btw, if that's your first dynamic map effort, not bad at all. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 01:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
There, that's somewhat better. B/c there's so many in Indianapolis and Columbus, which are relatively close, I can't see much more re-arranging without labels overlapping too much. Hope that helps! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 02:39, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I went on an NRHP photo roadtrip yesterday. It turned out more major than I thought, as I took over 470 pictures. Yes, in one day, possibly a new personal best. Not all NRHP stuff, but mostly. I'll be sorting, renaming, uploading and categorizing for the next few days. So I shan't likely be doing much else for a bit. Will notify when I'm done, and of course post to the group what's been added. One of my favorites, which I'd been wanting to do for a while, was Florida Southern College Architectural District. Which I may have to revisit. When it's cooler. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 00:27, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

I just noticed the baseball squad went nuts adding navigation boxes to Jackie Robinson Ballpark. What do you think? Gamweb (talk) 18:23, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Tolerable, I suppose. I think there's a way to incorporate other infoboxes into the NRHP one, but not sure how. --Ebyabe (talk) 00:22, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Great photos there! Your panoramas were awesome. One day I will walk amongst those buildings do. Nice work, as always. :-)--IvoShandor (talk) 20:29, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, you are too kind! :) I will have to return later, though, if nothing else to get the Water Dome when it's actually running. The campus map was surprisingly crappy too. I think the visitor center is open on Saturday, I'll have to go back then. Later in the year. When it's cooler. And I need to get the photos of the other seven (seven!) historic districts in Lakeland. It has one of the largest number of such in any city in Florida. And hey, whenever you get down here, I'll be happy to show you 'round the sites and byways. 'Cause lord knows, I've seen a crapload of 'em. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 00:40, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Btw, Wright must've been a midget. Those esplanades... I'm 6'4", and there was maybe 3 inches of clearance. I didn't have to slouch, but felt like it any time I walked under them. --Ebyabe (talk) 00:41, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
If you wanna see a fun pano, check this one. Only in Florida. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 00:44, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for NRHP table-izing!

  The NRHP Table-izer Barnstar
I award you this Barnstar for your contributions in table-izing multiple states' NRHP list-tables. As one editor put it, just before midnight U.S. Eastern time on July 4, Hey, between us we got it all done. Hooray!!

In fact we met multiple goals in table-izing list-articles covering all 83,973 NRHPs nation-wide during February 2008 to July 4, 2009.
Thanks, hope you had a great Fourth! -- Doncram, 5 July 2008

Woo-hoo! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 18:11, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Duplicate listing note in Oklahoma NRHP list

Hi Eb ... My latest project is to confirm duplicate listings in our state/county/city/town tables and to find and document additional duplicates. Back at the end of May, you added the following notes to National Register of Historic Places listings in Oklahoma:

The Elkman county table generator only has the US Highway 77 Bridge listing in McClain County and that listing doesn't appear in the National Register of Historic Places listings in Cleveland County, Oklahoma table. Similarly, the Elkman tool places Initial Point in Garvin County, but not in Murray County (although it appears in both county lists). I also checked the NRIS database and they have both sites in only one county. Can you shed light on any of this? Thanks. --sanfranman59 (talk) 05:23, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey. I can't completely remember, but this is probably why I added the Murray County part to Initial Point. As for the bridge, I think I figured it was in both counties since the article says it connects McClain and Cleveland counties. Hope that helps. --Ebyabe (talk) 22:13, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I know that sometimes, if a property is in more than one county, the NRHP won't always list it as being in both. --Ebyabe (talk) 22:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
