Temporary removal

In 2005, Minneapolis singer-songwriter Jennifer Armour filed a copyright-infringement suit against Beyoncé for allegedly using the lyrics and musical hook from Armour's song "Got a Little Bit of Love for You" Originally, the song came to Beyoncé's camp when Armour's former label manager, Marc McKinney, submitted demo recordings to record labels, including Beyoncé's Columbia Records and Sean's Atlantic Records, in late February to early March. An expert found Armour's slow and melodic song to Beyoncé's hip hop-oriented version having "substantial similarity". However, the judge who ruled in the case heard it "dissimilar". The long-running lawsuit was dismissed in 2006 in a federal court in Houston after Beyoncé's lawyers divulged the writing and recording of the song was "substantially completed" early in February.

Seems good to me, though the biggest change I can see is that all the times in the article where she is mentioned as "Beyoncé" should be changed to "Knowles". Please inform me when this has been copy-edited: I'll be glad to see it then. Great work. Acalamari 00:01, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Wow. If these are your babies, you've worked hard. I noticed the second album yesterday and was planning to work on Listen (song) to get the lot up to GT or even FT status. I'm glad I found this now: I would have been treading on toes. Sorry for snooping, but...

Here's my big, fat opinion. I actually like this layout. I like the separate column for the references. Some thoughts:

• Can the text be left-aligned instead of centered?
• Can the width restriction be removed just to see how it looks? Then the column widths will adhere to the length of the text and get rid of a lot of whitespace.
• I'm worried about the image and the chart analysis/commentary at the top. I think these should stay as straighforward lists: once you start adding all that extra stuff at the beginning, it becomes unmanageable - trust me - everyone and their mother will start adding in tidbits and non-notable stuff to bring attention to "their" favorite artists... the same crap happens with the "achievements & milestones" article and I'm constantly having to cut stuff down there. If the title is a "list of number-one singles" then the article should just have the list with nothing else. Leave the extra stuff for the song articles.

Hi Eric. Thanks for the comments. I hope you will put up another discussion about tables on the project's talk page. As for your comments, I will try to address them tomorrow; its 9 pm here and I have to go home. As for the last comment, I am very careful about the analysis, only including those highlights. If we are to remove those stuffs and we are to nominate this for FL, the article will be lambasted for not having them. Its kinda intro of the list. I know we have different mindset; mine is just I am referring to some successful FLs of the project; they're even too detailed than this. But I believe we can settle this matter sooner. By the way, if ever this will appear on the mainspace as is and "others" start to add non-notable stuffs, please tell me. I'll help you protect the pages.
