Gail Simone

edit

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Gail Simone, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Improvements Request to James Talarico Page

edit

Hello User:EnzoTC. I am on the campaign staff for James Talarico, and am therefore in a conflict of interest relationship according to Wikipedia criteria. There is some information that is old, some incorrect, and a few updates (with formatted sources) we have proposed on the talk page of the article about him. Since James is also a graduate of University of Texas at Austin, I was wondering if you might find it a good use of your time to help improve this article. Thanks for your consideration. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Africa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Birr. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello my friend

I have recently started working on Wikipedia. Can you teach me how to upload a photo? Can I give you the picture and you upload it? Or teach me if I have to do it myself?

Regards and Thanks B.sooshiant (talk) 11:01, 1 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello friend,
You can upload photos through Wikimedia Commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page), your Wikipedia account carries over to that website too. After you have uploaded an image onto Commons, you can use it on a Wikipedia page by either clicking the "Use This File" link on the photo's page or by using the format "[[ File:file_name.jpg|description of the image]]", in either case you can then put this into a Wikipedia page to put the image into the page.
Hope this helps and wish you success with edits. EnzoTC (talk) 00:59, 4 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

List of towns flags of Trnava Region, Slovakia moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, List of towns flags of Trnava Region, Slovakia, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. List of towns flags of Trenčín Region, Slovakia moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to List of towns flags of Trenčín Region, Slovakia. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and does not contain enough text to save it from WP:GALLERY, although lists of municipal flags can be acceptable. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ingratis (talk) 11:33, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lists of Slovakian town flags

edit
  1. I meant to refer to WP:NOTGALLERY in all of the above rather than WP:GALLERY, and the comment in the notification about the flags of Košice Region should be the same as the comment in the other five, rather than referring to "no sources" - sorry.
  2. I have moved these articles to draft rather than leaving them to be deleted because I thought it might be possible to improve/save them, although it would take a lot of work. Happy to discuss if you'd like. Best wishes, Ingratis (talk) 12:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey Ingratis.I'm honestly on the side of deleting them from Wikipedia and just having the gallery stay on Wikimedia. I created the pages as an improvement of List of city flags in Slovakia, but seeing as that's also on the chopping block I'm fine with deleting both. EnzoTC (talk) 19:36, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey Enzo. Fair enough, if you're OK with it - I just thought it was a shame for so much work to be deleted. Anyway, all best, Ingratis (talk) 07:31, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
It wasn't too much work, I just copied the code that was on WikiMedia and used a python program to reformat it. Think it only took about an hour. EnzoTC (talk) 19:06, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
