As much as this will hurt, I recommend removing the text from the patent and replacing it with a simple description of what the invention accomplished. David notMD (talk) 00:18, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

I have some other information to add relating to your Teahouse question. You were told what you know cannot be a source, but there is a way around that. If you can convince a respected newspaper to write about your relative, what is written will likely be acceptable as a source.
