Hey Fale. I've approved your bot to do interwiki linking, a bot flag should be granted shortly. Please make sure you keep an up-to date version of pywikipedia, and regularly check here for messages. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 08:58, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- You're welcome - Kingpin13 (talk) 16:43, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
I don't understand why the bot removed the interwikis from Abravanel. Can you explain? Jheald (talk) 11:08, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
- Please look here. --Chris 12:58, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
For the record, Abravanel is a {{surname}} page, not a disambiguation page. Surname pages often include significant information about the origins of a name, and sometimes about the most prominent historical bearers of the name -- not just a list of disambiguation links. In the case of Abravanel the content on en-wiki is indeed very comparable to the interwiki'd pages on fr-wiki and he-wiki. For further guidance contact WT:WPNAMES, who claim responsibility for the template. Jheald (talk) 16:17, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Re: MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage -- the issue here seems to be that on en-wiki {{surname}} is listed as marking a set index article, rather than a pure disambiguation page. Set index articles may interwiki to either article content pages or disambig pages on other language wikis.
- This is why the Abravanel interwikis were entirely appropriate, and should not have been removed. Jheald (talk) 15:41, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Not sure why the bot did not like the interwikis here either... Restoring. --Vicky Ng (talk) 04:15, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of WikiToLearn
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on WikiToLearn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —Largo Plazo (talk) 23:26, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
