Duane Arnold

This is a biographical page and published writings are part of that biography. Also, the "charges" against Arnold are repeated three times and are redundant. These should be subject to edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phoenixpreacher (talkcontribs) 23:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Phoenixpreacher. The introduction is a summary of the article so the lying CV is mentioned, the education section mentions degrees which were lied about so the lying CV is mentioned, and the career section explains how he lost his job so the lying CV is mentioned. As for the massive list of published works/thesis: this is not a CV, only a selection of works is included, not everything he has ever written. This usually means a selection of monographs or important/influential edited books. Journal articles etc are only included if they are groundbreaking pieces or work.
Do you have any links with Duane Arnold or are you Arnold himself? Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 21:44, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

I am a friend and colleague of Dr. Arnold. The "lying CV" had one inaccurate attribution and spelling errors that would indicate that it wasn't Arnold who wrote it as such mistakes would be not only unnecessary, but obviously below his competence. I have submitted a shorter "Book" list. Phoenixpreacher

Thank you for declaring your WP:Conflict of interest. The "lying CV" as you refer to it included two incorrect attribution, one made up university, and two invented qualifications. All that is now stated int he article is fully referenced with reliable sources as required by Wikipedia. I have removed the section ("The Project") that you added that did not have a references and was WP:promotional in nature. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 21:53, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

I consider myself a colleague and friend through writing and academic exchanges online, but we have never personally met. You seem to have an equally compelling aversion to a fair representation of him which may be a true COI. The Project is a verifiable artistic endeavor of note.Phoenixpreacher —Preceding undated comment added 19:32, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

The picture of Arnold and Bell should not be cropped as they are partners in "The Project". It is also not a copywriter issue as the site clearly states that the photos are for the use of the press and those writing elsewhere.Phoenixpreacher —Preceding undated comment added 19:45, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Social policy academics

Hi, I noticed that, after I added a list of Social Policy Association award-holders yesterday, you created Jane Lewis's article. I created a couple of other award-holders' articles today (Alan Walker (social scientist) and David Donnison). A few others have Who's Who entries, which is usually handy in creating basic career chronologies and demonstrating notability, but it got me thinking whether there are many more people working in this field with entries in Who's Who (I profess to knowing relatively little about it, but it seems very under-represented on WP). I did a few searches, and it turns out there are a good number of FBAs, CBEs, FAcSSs and full professors who are sadly redlinked. I've dumped a list here if you're ever interested. Thanks, --Noswall59 (talk) 15:25, 4 June 2018 (UTC).

Thanks Noswall59! That category of academics is very under represents on here: I had to create an associated category (Category:Academics of social policy) not that long ago because there was one. I'm pretty busy right now, but I'll definitely create some of them when I have time. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 19:08, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
