Re:West Derby
editBecause you were so accusatory in your tone, I just thought I'd tell you why you're wrong. I'm not American and clearly don't favour American spellings. To use Wikipedia as a source to backup your point is incredibly flawed and if you checked either the Oxford or Chamber's dictionary (as I have) you'd see that medieval is the preferred spelling, and not remotely American. - Fetus is also the preferred spelling for foetus per standardisation towards American spelling - does that mean we eradicate it in British articles? I am reporting your consistent reverting - it appears from your talk page that your heavy-handed editing has already been a source of contention. Giacomodalsace 19:13, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- As I didn't mention "standardisation towards American spelling", am I to presume you ignored the bit about me looking it up in two English dictionaries? For your information, foetus is how it's spelled in the two aformentioned dictionaries and thus what I'd use. I do have two other points; I've no more broken the 3RR than you have so you can't report me, and it's very presumptiuous to accuse me of problems related to my "heavy-handed editing" when in fact, judging by the comment and tone with which you opened this, you were fully intent on an argument. - I agree that "Foetus" is correct. "Fetus" reads like a foot disease.--andreasegde (talk) 23:05, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
