Fair use rationale for File:Network ten logos.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Network ten logos.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 18:17, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:West_metro.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:West_metro.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:20, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Copyright problems with Western Sydney Parklands
editHello. Concerning your contribution, Western Sydney Parklands, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.westernsydneyparklands.com.au/page/about-us/history/. As a copyright violation, Western Sydney Parklands appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Western Sydney Parklands has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Western Sydney Parklands and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Western Sydney Parklands with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Western Sydney Parklands.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Grahame (talk) 02:52, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

The Rebels
editMate, I love the enthusiasm but slow down a bit ;) I want to help out with the new page, so how about you lay out a list of things to do so we're not working across purposes. Just be careful about paring back the ARC Rebels article for the moment. You never know, the VRU might try and tie the new franchise directly to the old one for PR purposes.Paul. Paul Roberton (talk) 13:36, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- I just found this article written by Harold Mitchell [1]
If we take the article at face value, the team WILL be the Melbourne Rebels, it will be owned by Mitchell. Given announcements today [2] Brian Waldron of the Melbourne Storm is the likely CEO but it hasn't be confirmed as his role hasn't been defined.
I'm starting to think we move the current Melbourne Rebels article to Melbourne Rebels(ARC) and the new article at Melbourne Rebels
that way we can have a disambig at the top that reads
For the team of the same name in the defunct Australian Rugby Championship please see Melbourne Rebels(ARC)
That way anyone looking for information on "The Melbourne Rebels" will find an article on the new team rather than the old one.
We should also start having the discussion on the article talk page at Talk:Melbourne_Rebels as it will need an opinion ballot or concensus to make those changes. Make sure when you want to say something on the talk page that you click 'New Section'. That way any additions you make will appear in a content lists that's automatically generated. Paul Roberton (talk) 14:08, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Let's keep talk about this article on the articles talk page. Click on this link to go to the talk page. I've gone through the edit history of the page and contact other people who have edited the page. As I said, we'll need a consensus for the changes we want to make. Paul Roberton (talk) 14:28, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Melbourne Rebels(ARC), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Melbourne Rebels. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:23, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied or moved text from Melbourne Rebels into Melbourne Rebels (ARC). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:31, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Melbourne Rebels logo.svg
editThanks for uploading File:Melbourne Rebels logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. 2010 Shute Shield season moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, 2010 Shute Shield season, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
