@ JFG: I haven't used any bot. That's the "Fix deadlinks" tool provided by Wikipedia on each page. It basically runs through pages to archive deadlinks and rot pages to preserve source info when the web page is no longer there. It's normally under the "View history" tab. The service exists to be used. I hope this helps and please stop threatening me. I don't appreciate your tone.

@Kandymotownie: Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my tone; I was pretty flabbergasted when seeing your edits and I may have chosen a higher-level warning than deserved. That being said, the IABot assistant normally only adds archives to links which are determined to be inactive; in that respect, as Jonesey95 pointed out, it is a very useful tool against link rot. Apparently you selected the checkbox labeled "Add archives to all non-dead references", which instructs the bot to create archive links for every source irrespective of its current "live" status.
