Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a search with the contents of The Northeastern United States, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Northeastern United States (U.S. Census Bureau). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. VWBot (talk) 00:16, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cut and paste redirects

edit

Please don't use cut and paste to redirect articles. Use the "Move" button. 216.93.212.245 (talk) 00:18, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Since I'm not logged in I can't point it out to you. Ask an admin for help, I think. You can use the {{helpme}} tag. 216.93.212.245 (talk) 00:24, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of You have been transported to a page on Wikipedia

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted.   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edits you made to United States, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Your repeated addition of 4 flags to the article is unhelpful and disruptive. Please stop. Please do not edit war to reintroduce this change The edits in question are [1], [2]. Speedy deletion of Template:PageBreak

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:PageBreak requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. Logan Talk Contributions 20:37, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

As explained in WP:CSD, "The creator of a page may not remove a Speedy Delete tag" so I have replaced it. If you think it does not substantially duplicate the {{-}} tag, as stated on the page, please explain why on the talk page for the reviewing admin. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 20:11, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Users are not expected to change their spelling in talk page comments. Users should follow WP:ENGVAR for articles, but they do not need to do so for talk pages. Hiuby, do you have anything constructive to say or add at User talk:UtherSRG? Your signature

edit

Please reformat your signature. It goes against the signature guidelines in several ways. It uses both the <big> tags and <span style="font-size: medium"> or greater. The markup also takes up considerable space in the edit window, which can make it difficult to differentiate between your signature and the rest of the page. Please change to a simpler signature that does not violate those guidelines. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 20:23, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I will re-format my signature. It will just include the links (e.g. Example (talk)). --Hiuby Jɑpɑn Rocks! 日本ゴー! 20:33, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your future editing

edit

So, you're coming up on the end of your block in a few hours. You should make sure, when you return to editing, that you really think about each edit you're making. You seem like you could be a help to the project, but you continue to make edits that are disruptive and counterproductive. You might consider taking a quick look at Wikipedia:Simplified ruleset. It offers a lot of information that might make things more clear about what is acceptable and what is not. I'll be keeping an eye on your edits, and I hope to see some productive editing from you in the near future. Cheers! GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 02:57, 11 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Hiuby

edit

A tag has been placed on Hiuby, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Hiuby!

edit

I think that you have good intentions with your edits, but you are actually being very disruptive. The Veggie-related moves are not helpful at all so I've undone all your moves and redirects. Also, your edits to Sigma's userspace are unwanted. I'm in a good mood at the moment, so I'm not going to block you. If this nonsense continues, though, I (or another admin) will. Stop making big changes such as moving pages. Stop messing with other users' pages. Stop creating stuff in template space. Find some articles to edit. Okay? —DoRD (talk) 23:03, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of William Penn School

edit

The article William Penn School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Primary school; thus not notable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
