Hurdygurley
Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Hurdygurley! I am Doomgaze and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome!
Welcome
editWelcome to Wikipedia. You've been editing for a total of 15 days now. You are new and therefore the community will be forgiving of you not being familiar with how everything works. The content in the Chris Huhne article that you decided to remove is directly pertinent, impeccably sourced with many many sources cited and has been in the article for almost a year through many editors. The headings are included as simple descriptives to delineate different subject matters. Just removing well-sourced content like that is not how things work in Wikipedia. We work as a community. We also assume good faith. We do not hurl accusations at editors with a different perspective. We work in a collegiate manner. I make no assumptions about you having an agenda because you have removed factual content that you appear not to care for. Please read all the cited sources and that will put you in a position of better cognition. Let's keep it calm and cordial. Davidpatrick (talk) 00:48, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

I would like to invite you to a short survey. Please give me your valuable time, which estimates only 5 minutes. cooldenny (talk) 20:03, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

edit You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chris Huhne. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 20:11, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:AlanBarber.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:AlanBarber.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:06, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:GWaitz.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:GWaitz.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
