Hi, IDoH. Some time ago you nominated Broadway.com Audience Awards for deletion. I don't think that the Musical Theatre (or even the Theatre) Project was aware of it. If you nominated it again and let us know, I think there would be a discussion with a consensus. All the best, -- Ssilvers (talk) 05:00, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ssilvers, AfDs should be included in article alerts, but yeah, that's good advice. Thanks for telling me. --I dream of horses (t) (c) Remember to {{ping}} me after replying off my talk page 05:04, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi IDOH,
Hope you're doing well. I resubmitted my draft for the Doug Barzelay article, but it looks like I messed something up so none of the changes I made ended up in what I submitted (it's my first time writing a Wikipedia entry). I tried to re-resubmit with the edits made a week ago but have yet to hear back. Any idea how to resolve this? Sissa (mythical brahman)
editHello @I dream of horses:, thank you for the welcome :) Although I am not entirely new anymore, since I did some editing in other pages before. It was the first time though to create a new page in the English Wikipedia. I have a question for you about that: Sissa_(mythical_brahmin), is a partial translation from a page that I created in Dutch. I made the reference to that page under the heading sources. Please advise if that is conform Wiki-protocol? Thankyou --Chescargot (talk) 14:06, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Chescargot, I think, technically speaking, you need to acknowledge that it's a partial translation on the talk page; other than that, you're doing fine. --I dream of horses (t) (c) Remember to {{ping}} me after replying off my talk page 23:12, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Need Help With Derivative Work Issue
editHello I Dream of Horses, Thanks again for your previous help with my article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amie_Harwick. A new issue has arisen with this article that I again need your help with. The new issue concerns derivative work regarding the photo of Amie holding her book in the photo. The message I received is that I need to credit the photographer who took the cover photo of the book. So I did that. The photographer is 'Holly Randall' But it doesn't work. Nothing has changed. Someone blurred-out the book cover on the photo. So, did I correctly credit the photographer so that the derivative photo issue is resolved, and if so, can you remove the revised photos where the book cover and the Movie Poster is blurred out?
Additionally, I have the same problem with my article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perspective_(2019_film). I wrote the Films Producer and she replied to use: ‘Gamma Entertainment’ for the Movie Poster credit, so I did. But the result is the same as Amie's article - no change and the blurred photo remains. Can you let me know if I have correctly credited the copyright holders, and, if so, can you remove the revised blurred photos? Thanks. - Glenn Glenn Francis (talk) 05:27, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Toglenn, I'm not sure this is an issue that will be resolved to your satisfaction, because Wikipedia has a unique copyright license that allows for commercial usage of the text and most of the photos that it hosts. There are fair-use photos on the English Wikipedia, but they are rare.
- It occurs to me that perhaps the movie poster might be uploadable as "fair use"; it's worth a shot, and the worse that can happen is you're told "Nope, not possible". I don't think you'll get the group shot of everyone holding the movie poster uploaded as fair use, though. Just a low-resolution version of the movie poster by itself would get a fair-use license.
- If this was something that the photographer was willing to release under a free-use, commercial-use-allowed license, then this wouldn't be quite an issue. However, I don't think this would be the case for a book cover. I think the photo in her infobox is sufficient for the length of the article, but that's only the opinion of one person. Reference List
editI've just been looking through some of my recent edits, to see what has changed since I edited them, and noticed two, possibly more of them have had reference lists added.
I didn't even notice that the references weren't appearing in reference lists.
So I'm wondering why they weren't on those articles?
...As even in articles which don't have any references yet, and articles yet to be published (like the my first ever Wikipedia article draft, which I have saved privately on my Blogger, until I can be bothered to look through BFI and/or the BFI Screenonline websites, most likely having to use the Wayback Machine, to find any contrasting figures, to add to my article which is more or less complete already), reference lists are automatically added.
Is it because the articles were quite old, and possibly reference lists weren't added automatically pre-2010?
Danstarr69 (talk) 08:45, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Danstarr69, reference lists were around when I started editing Wikipedia, in 2006. Sometimes people forget to add them, and that's usually the explanation why they aren't there. editHi, Wyett or I dream of Horses, this is in response to your email. I would like to ask for advice on how to resolve an edit war about The King Eternal Monarch. There are several editors involved. Some of those editors have IP addresses for names, so I don't know if I can talk to them directly. I just want to add the following to this page:
1. Add this at second paragraph:
The series is an international hit despite controversies that hampered its reception by South Korean audience. As of May 22, 2020, it was #19 in the list of most streamed TV shows on Netflix in the world, the only South Korean TV show in the top 20. [1]
2. Remove section on controversy or add the following under controversy: Despite these controversies, the show became an international hit. As of May 22, 2020, it was #19 in the list of most streamed TV shows on Netflix in the world, the only South Korean TV show in the top 20. [2]

- @Lizzydarcy2008: Here is my point of view:
- 1. Disagree flixpatrol.com is not a reliable source. As the website stated in the disclaimer [3], ranking points are not associated with the streaming platforms and they do not represent the actual numbers of viewings or sales. This is an unreliable source as it is original research and a secondary source. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research#Primary,_secondary_and_tertiary_sources
- 2. Disagree No reason on removing controversy section. Again, based on an unreliable source. Also, the ranking in the website will change over time and your reference will become obsolete in a couple of weeks. Hence I don't see a reason for putting it as a reference. If you would like to include Netflix rating you should quote from a reliable news article. Weyyt (talk) 04:16, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

- Floquenbeam, I was marking their edits as suspicious for a little before issuing warnings; when I finally warned them, there was enough edits to (technically) give them four warnings. - If you want to keep using Huggle, there is. Fabricating AIV reports is not on. This user was automatically reported by Huggle due to reverted vandalism after a final warning is not true. This approach tricked Huggle into sending an automatic AIV report. --Floquenbeam (talk) 23:26, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

@Floquenbeam: If that particular message is what bothered you, why didn't you just say so at the beginning? Also, what does "If you want to keep using Huggle..." mean exactly? Does that mean you're considering removing rollback (your level of frustration makes you involved, so don't do so yourself), or does that mean something less threatening? I dream of horses (talk page) (Contribs) Remember to notify me after replying off my talk page. 00:59, 28 May 2020 (UTC) (added ping at 01:00, 28 May 2020 (UTC))
- What is bothering me is what I've written above, which you have yet to address. Fake warnings, tricking Huggle into a fake AIV report, biting a newbie, treating someone clueless as someone evil, unhelpful response when they asked a question. I am certainly not "involved" just because I'm the one to notice this; you're mistaking criticism for a "level of frustration". Yes, I would consider removing rollback if this is some kind of pattern. If this was a one-off, then I would have hoped that you'd have looked at the interaciton and said "yeah, I was too aggressive there". Instead, I'm left with a sinking feeling that you do this a lot, but without the stomach or free time to research your use of Huggle in depth right now. But yes, if you do this a lot, I would consider removing rollback if there was no other way to prevent it and you don't change. There used to be a Huggle blacklist, I think, I don't know if there still is one. --Floquenbeam (talk) 01:37, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Floquenbeam, I'm actually an experienced Huggle user--in fact, my use of semi-automated tools has me in the top 50--but this is among the few rare prolonged critical discussions about my edits. I'm active enough that I'm a bit surprised that you don't seem to know me very well, and are indecisive about whether or not this is a one-off.
- I can understand an inability or unwillingness to go through my contribution history...but perhaps you shouldn't exercise the right to remove rollback if you are unable/unwilling to fulfill the responsibility of the research necessary to do it.
- One last thing: Excuse me if I'm overly sensitive, but I find "evil" to be a strong word, similar to the word "hate". You accusing me of "treating someone clueless as someone evil" as being somewhat aggressive yourself. I dream of horses (talk page) (Contribs) Remember to notify me after replying off my talk page. 06:09, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, come on. I already said I wouldn't remove rollback for this one occurrence, but only if there was a pattern of behavior. If all you're going to do is try to deflect and play word games and simply refuse to respond to my actual concerns, then I guess I'm done here, and I'll just walk away in disappointment. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:15, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Floquenbeam, I really don't see how I've deflected. I also don't see how commenting on how a turn phrase affected me is playing word games. I'm not sure what constitutes a pattern from your perspective---how many mistakes over what period of time (I know that sort of thing involves more intuition than numbers, but...)? All of those things are legitimately going over my head. I guess you'll have to walk away disappointed. - Sorry about that. I'm sure you're aware that you can remove the warnings from your talk page. I dream of horses (talk page) (Contribs) Remember to notify me after replying off my talk page. 17:34, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
- Apology accepted. But why did you continue to revert after I pointed out your error, and without actually checking that the edit summary was actually right? 86.146.209.237 (talk) 17:46, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
- I was using Huggle, and wasn't reading my talk page at the time. I dream of horses (talk page) (Contribs) Remember to notify me after replying off my talk page. 19:59, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
- How does not looking at your talk page stop you from seeing edit summaries? If Huggle hides edit summaries as well then maybe using it is not such a good idea. 86.146.209.237 (talk) 13:21, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Huggle shows edit summaries. However, when dealing with people who insult you by calling you "hard of thinking", or the editor below us who was blocked for spamming, you don't always read them. - Both were a long time after you reverted my edit - twice so not valid excuses. 86.146.209.237 (talk) 15:15, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

I suppose you're right; however, I've already apologized, and you seem to be more desiring of continuing the conversation than actually behaving like someone who has forgiven me. I dream of horses (talk page) (Contribs) Remember to notify me after replying off my talk page. 21:55, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Perhaps I should apologize for any misunderstanding. I'm not that experienced around here, but as I gain experience, I may get to use some of the tools that others use. I was just trying to understand the thought process or whether the huggle tool has some inherent limitation(s) that make it worth steering clear of. 86.146.209.237 (talk) 13:23, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
