Proposed deletion of Benjamin Lucraft
editPlease Note: The proposed deletion described below has been canceled after further review. However, the article still needs work to conform to Wikipedia's style and content policy and guidelines, as discussed at the top of the article. It would be very helpful if you, as the original author, could insert appropriate inline footnotes. I'd be happy to help with other aspects of improving the article, if you like. Just contact me on my talk page. --Unconventional (talk) 22:11, 1 March 2009 (UTC) |
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Benjamin Lucraft, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Self-published original research by User:Ianlucraft, who moved it from his own user page with the edit summary "I now want to publish my prepared work and can only find this way to do so". References include "Family records in the possession of the author" and "Thanks are expressed to the following", terms indicative of original work. Wikipedia is not a publisher of original research nor a memorial site. The subject may be notable, but there is no sign of any reliable secondary sources that could be used to substantiate much of this article.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
