Jethro Tull
editHi. Just wanted to explain that I have reverted what you did to the Jethro Tull article. I did this because the changes you did were not in line with what the cites said. While you may claim to be Ian Anderson, I'm afraid that the anonymous nature of the internet means that's all you can be; someone who claims to be Ian Anderson. You have to understand that from Wikipedia's viewpoint you could be anyone saying anything. This is why Wikipedia relies on reliable sources, as do all encyclopedias. If you are Ian Anderson, then the best way to correct the inaccuracies you believe are in the article is to say it to a reliable source, who will report it, and then Wikipedia can cite that source. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:58, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Ianscottanderson. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ian Anderson, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). - when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Karst (talk) 10:32, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
