Would you care to explain what you mean in Basque by :

  • But the antibasque Spanish propaganda relates back to two centuries at least.

and

  • A new Spanish propaganda recently has tried to link

? The linguistic link among Berber and Basque was stated at least by Krutwig. -- Error 00:09, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Well, both two things can be explained in more extension, but it seemed to me enough to put it better that to erase previous content.

Yes, certainly I remembered that of Krutwig, but in the previous text there was stated it like probed, and besides "has been probed linked linguistic and genetically", which obviously was false and with a clear bias.

I saw other things that I changed also, about the Basques not having resisted "enough" to the Romans, which besides unprobed is plain stupid.

Any way, when I read the entry Basques some time ago it hadn't the obvious Spanish actual bias that I found now. Then I decided to change it a little and suscribe myself to Wikipedia to see what happens.

I also encountered some expression as "the nationalist look to ancient Roman mythical ages with envy" and something more about "racial superiority" that are also pure bias taken from the political agenda and traslated to the encyclopedia.

Sorry, I don't know if you've noticed my answer. (I didn't know the procedures for maintaining a talking.

Anyway I've erased the line about "the Spanish propaganda..."

Basques on Wikipedia.

edit

There has arised some discussion about the entry Basque. Well, I have plenty of links about Basque culture, history, politics, etc.

When I did read that entry some time ago it looked good to me and I bookmarked it. When I looked anew recently I encountered the typical Spanish bias in it. So I inserted a pair of sentences and wait to see how it evolved.

Of course I would like it improve and are ready to discuss any thing about the Basque issue. Idiazabal 21:38, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Lehendakari / Lendakari

edit

Hi. Currently there's no use to substitute links to Lendakari with Lehendakari. Both pages redirect to the same article.--Erri4a 20:16, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Oh, all right. I only tried to back it to its previous form. But if it is redirected is the same.

The Humungous Image Tagging Project

edit

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

Image Tagging Image:Carlist1.JPG

edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Carlist1.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Political map of Spain

edit

Hi, It is the first time I see a map like this from the XIXth century. It looks interesting. The source is cited to be The National Library of Spain, but I couldn't find it (www.bne.es), would you please inform about the ISBN, author and any other information about the map? And the link to the source in the image to a Columbia Univ. web page doesn't exist.

Cheers. --Ajrs 21:57, 20 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I forgot to came to Wikipedia this last times. The link to a Columbia Univ. page can be changed but it must stay there because it was the professor Sala i Martin who maintained it, and as I know he continues to work there. Here you have it as today: http://www.columbia.edu/~xs23/catala/mapa.jpg Idiazabal 12:09, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Aguirre_y_familia.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Aguirre_y_familia.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:19, 22 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Kelly hi! 01:19, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
