Editing with a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Mobile1st. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:16, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Largoplazo! Yes, I have a COI, but hopefully it did not introduce any bias into my writing. I adoped a neutral point fo view and added sourcing. Please check. Thanks —Mobile1st

  Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Mobile1st", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 22:55, 21 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thx Melcous. I've submitted a user name change request. I didn't realize that my previous user name violated your rules. I don't believe it's offensive, and Wik suggests we don't use our real name, but I am now trying to change it. Certainly, I intend to write in an unbiased way. I believe what I wrote is all factual and neutral. Thx! —Mobile1st 21 September 2015

Proposed deletion of Mobilizer (mobile testing solution)

edit

The article Mobilizer (mobile testing solution) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable product by non-notable company. No RSes. Possibly a case of WP:TOOSOON.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:37, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Walter Görlitz, Gosh you guys are speedy, but maybe too speedy! I've been working hard to improve this article, yet the clock seems to run very fast. It hasn't even been a day that the article's been posted. I note I've been adding source material and links to other wikipeida articles but that doesn't seem to register. Let me address today the "non-notable" claim about the product Mobilzier. Thanks! Jake Rabin 22 September 2015
Jake, I should explain that none of the references you've provided so far are to reliable sources independent of the topic of the article. One is by its creator, one is from its current company's website, one is from its previous company's website, and one is a press release on PRWeb. None of these provides any support for a finding of notability. You, or someone, will need to identify qualifying sources. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:37, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

See Mobilizer's talk page for my revisions and corrections to the page to hopefully address concerns aobut notabilty, etc. Thanks! Jake Rabin 28 September 2015

Nomination of Mobilizer (mobile testing solution) for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Mobilizer (mobile testing solution) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mobilizer (mobile testing solution) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:29, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

I added info on Mobilizer's customer bases and therefore addressed issues of the product's notability and prominence. Also I've added relevant links from other pages, so this one is no longer an orphan. For these reasons, I've deleted the tag that said this page should be potentially deleted. - Jake Rabin 28 Sept 2015 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.187.167.144 (talk) 06:25, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mobilizer (mobile testing solution)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mobilizer (mobile testing solution) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
