editHello, I'm Clubjustin. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Jaspalbadyal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
- instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Clubjustin (talk) 13:55, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Apologies for your rude treatment here
editI want to apologize for the inappropriately rude treatment you received here earlier today. Too many Wikipedians are devoted to treating the encyclopedia as a gigantic roleplaying game without regard to the consequences for the subjects of its articles or the ways it damages the encyclopedia's usefulness to those who actually want to use it as an encyclopedia. I, for one, think every editor here should be grateful and gracious when someone with credentials like yours takes the time to make simple, useful corrections to their biography. Obviously that opinion is not as widely shared as it should be. Nevertheless, I thank you for your contributions today, and hope you will be willing to contribute more in the future. I have reinstated your contributions to the text you provided, although I did make one minor change, keeping with routine practice here, moving the link to your YouTube videos into an "External links" section, reflecting only a standard format for articles, not deprecating the site you linked to. You may be amused by this brief, and all too accurate, essay: Wikipedia:Randy in Boise. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by administrators since 2006.
