Request reason:

I agree to seek consensus before editing. Happy to discuss further. If I renege on the agreement, you can always ban me again.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 16:14, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I will attempt to address the concerns of the prior administrator, Yamla, who declined my request: 1. I understand I was blocked for edit warring and COI concerns. 2. I will not edit war again, and in fact will not edit at all without seeking consensus. In my inexperience, I believed Zefr was just some random user edit-warring with me. I now know better. 3. I have knowledge in natural products chemistry that may interest general readers. This goes far beyond my own publications, and is a passion of mine. Of course, I will seek consensus before any edits.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. No response in two weeks. Editor may open a new unblock request upon their return. Z1720 (talk) 14:31, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please answer the following questions to help admin evaluate your unblock request:

  1. What is edit warring, and why were your actions considered edit warring? (WP:EW)
  2. What should you do to resolve disputes on Wikipedia? (WP:DR)
  3. What is a conflict of interest? How do editors declare a conflict of interest when editing articles? (WP:COI and WP:COIE)
  4. What is the recommended guidance for editors who are citing sources they wrote? (WP:SELFCITE).

I look forward to your response. Z1720 (talk) 16:49, 11 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
