Welcome!

edit

Hello, Jordanttran, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Valentino Khan does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. I'd also recommend reading this page on reliable sources; YouTube, Spotify, Instagram and other Wikipedia articles cannot be used as sources. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:23, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello I'm apart of Valentino Khans management team. I'm here to update his page. I'm confused on the problem on why it was reverted back? Jordanttran (talk) 23:45, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
It was reverted because it was heavily promotional and not properly sourced.
You are what Wikipedia terms a paid editor. Please read the paid editing guide before making any more edits. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:47, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't want to be a paid editor. I just wanted to update his page as his management. It needed some updated. May you revert so I may properly source for everything and make sure it is detailed. Jordanttran (talk) 23:50, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are a paid editor because you're his management.
I am not going to revert. What you wrote was more like an advertisement than a neutral, objective encyclopaedia article. If you wish to see the page updated, you will need to read the paid editing guide and make edit requests in the way it explains. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:52, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
May you show me where is this "advertising" so I can fix. Did not mean for it to seem that way at all. Jordanttran (talk) 23:57, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Read the paid editing guide. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:59, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
How do I become a non paid editor Jordanttran (talk) 00:00, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are a paid editor because you are part of Valentino Khan's management. You have a job which is related to your editing; that is what makes you a paid editor. You would only stop being a paid editor if you quit that job. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:01, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
okay one sec, i'll redo it Jordanttran (talk) 00:06, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Your edit to Valentino Khan's page? Please do not. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:07, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Why not??? then what should I do to update it?? Jordanttran (talk) 00:08, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Because it was written like an advertisement.
As I said several minutes ago, If you wish to see the page updated, you will need to read the paid editing guide and make edit requests in the way it explains. The paid editing guide is here. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:09, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
yea the whole point of me re-doing it is to not make it like an "advertisement" Sorry this is my first time doing anything on Wikipedia. So I'm confused on what to do. The article you sent doesn't make sense to me Jordanttran (talk) 00:14, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
What part of it doesn't make sense? AntiDionysius (talk) 00:15, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm confused on why I can't just edit "Non promotional" and you can see after I make the changes. Jordanttran (talk) 00:17, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Because it is very, very unlikely that you will be able to make non-promotional edits - even if you're trying to - because you have a financial interest in the topic.
You are required, under the terms of use of Wikipedia, to make the disclosure explained in the paid editing guide. That's why you need to read it.
You are then asked not to edit the article and instead to make a request for the article to be edited, where you say "please change this to that" and provide a source, and then someone who doesn't have your conflict of interest makes the edit on your behalf. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:21, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
alright, i think i updated my user page for the article. Are you able to see it? Jordanttran (talk) 00:22, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I can see it AntiDionysius (talk) 00:25, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

are you able to see that i put in a request for it to be edited Jordanttran (talk) 00:46, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
or please let me know what I need to edit to publish? Jordanttran (talk) 23:47, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
