Image copyright problem with Image:Joel2003.jpg
editThank you for uploading Image:Joel2003.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 11:29, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Captain Spaulding
editHi-- I'm the original creator of the Captain Spaulding article, and I'm also the one who redirected it to House of 1000 Corpses. I don't like it, but at the same time given Wikipedia's incredibly strict policies, its a deletion risk as its little more than a plot summary about an (to the general public) and obscure horror film character. I've learned this the hard way in the past. This way, by keeping it as a redirect while the article remains in its history, its safe for the time being.
The original article (which was much lengthier) is in the history, and I've saved all the pictures onto my computer. I plan on restarting it again someday. If you still think it should stay, please try adding some real-world information -- I.E., concept, creation, reception, etc. You can look at articles for Jason Voorhees and Palpatine to get a better grasp of what the article should look like.--CyberGhostface (talk) 13:22, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you keep the article up, someone is going to delete it and then it'll be much harder to recover. If you just wait I'll try bringing it back later. As it is now, it fails Wikipedia policy. --CyberGhostface (talk) 18:42, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Cinerama
editHope you took my edits in the helpful spirit in which they were intended. If you want to add something about origins of the Cinerama name, why not put it in the main article? The item just didn't make any sense in the opening sentence. Best wishes, Mark Markhh (talk) 02:26, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

editHi Kasper, this picture may be offensive to others (ie admins, writers, readers) and you should remove it. Just a friendly opinion. (talk) 15:30, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Animatrix2 gip.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:Animatrix2 gip.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:03, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Image tagging for File:Jemma gip.jpg

April 2009
editHi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give H2: Halloween 2 a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 07:46, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Family Affair
editCaro Signor,
It is standard in English Wikipedia television series articles to associate the character and actor only once in the text (where the person or character is first mentioned), and again only in the cast list. To do so repeatedly in the text is annoying as well as redundant. Thank you for your contribution to the Family Affair article.Njsustain (talk) 17:54, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Sources and references
editThe best thing you can do to understand what I mean is to read WP:RS and User:Uncle G/On sources and content. If English is hard for you, then you might want to try if Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en#) can help.) - Mgm|(talk) 11:39, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Also, IMDB occasionally gets things wrong, listing false information so they're not considered reliable as a reference. Better references are newspapers, film-making magazines and books about the subject, but also recognized movie review websites can help. You need to prove all the information in the article is true and that the film meets inclusion guidelines, not just that the film exists. - Mgm|(talk) 11:42, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Try asking at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. People there have more time to go over the details with you. - Mgm|(talk) 10:40, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
The Torment of Saint Anthony
editAs you write it:Il_tormento_di_Sant'Antonio, if you see anything in non-English literature that isn't in any online English reference, can you add the material to en:The Torment of Saint Anthony? The two English references provide a wealth of information on this painting, but I'm sure there is more out there. Thanks. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 17:11, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
The Torment of Saint Anthony (Michelangelo)
editI have added a detailed image to the commons and created a commons category, and have updated The Torment of Saint Anthony (Michelangelo) accordingly. Can you update the Italian version? Thanks. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:15, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
disney animated classics
editHello. Please feel free to join in the discussion at Template_talk:Disney_theatrical_animated_features#Added_New_Section, as you have both created the redirect in question as well as removed it over the course of editing one of the pages under discussion. see [1] for your history edit items SpikeJones (talk) 04:22, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- If you haven't looked at my edit history or comments, I am in support of using the Disney Animation website as the source rather than solely what Mr Smith has written in the A-Z; I am confused by your comment. SpikeJones (talk) 23:15, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- Seems that way. I liked the page(s) content the way it was last week; it made sense to me. SpikeJones (talk) 23:25, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- uh, those lists aren't exactly relevant to understanding who Mr Smith is and what his job is, if you know what I mean. If intended to be funny, it is. But unfortunately has no reason to exist there as being exclusive to Mr Smith. SpikeJones (talk) 01:16, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Combining Talk Discussions Re Disney Film Lists
editDear SpikeJones, Kasper2006, Elikrotupos, Swatsi, Blitz Lutte, NealP, LtPowers, SofaKing381222, Collectionian, Cartoon Boy, Casey14, Chris1219, NuclearWarfare, SkinnyPrude, and Parker 1297:
Recently, it appears that you all have been interested in the various Disney discussions regarding the proper categorization of Disney animated films. There has been recent activity regarding the proper structure of the various Disney feature length film lists. Unfortunately the discussions regarding the lists / pages are taken place on a number of talk pages. Before we get further into a long discussion regarding the various structural issues with regards to List of Disney theatrical animated features, Template:Disney theatrical animated features, Walt Disney Animated Classics, Category:Disney animated features canon, List of Disney feature films and what ever other lists are out there, I would suggest that we somehow combine the discussions (both past and present) into one place. This will allow easy review on single page for users interested in this matter. It will also allow future users an easy access to whatever rational is used to support the structure of the various lists (including keeping or merging certain lists.). I believe that in placing this discussion in one central location, it alleviates repetitive discussion, allows issues are not constantly revisited in different locations and hopefully sets the future standard in updating the various lists with the verifiable sources. I honestly do not know if there is Wikipedia policy on this, nor do I know what the proper way of creating such a place. But I do believe it would useful.
I have posted this suggestion on the all the User’s talk pages above and apologize if I have missed any person who may be interested in this matter. If you know of a user interested in this matter, please invite any that person to discuss these issues. .If I have included you and you have no interest in this matter, I sincerely apologize and please delete this message.

Men's pole vault progression
editKasper - I see you did an Italian version of the pole vault record progression I recently cleaned up. But I saw one error - the date of "August 12 2009" you put in (in Italian), i.e., as of "12 August the IAAF has ratified 71 records..." should properly be the June 21 date I had. That date is the specific date the IAAF itself quotes as these progression lists being accurate to. It's a minor quibble, I know... Canada Jack (talk) 14:40, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of List of multiple swimming medalist in international competitions
editThe article List of multiple swimming medalist in international competitions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Possibly WP:OR, however it is not fair to make such comparisons between athletes who are ineligible to compete at ALL of the championships discussed i.e. Australians and Americans cannot compete the the European Championships; Europeans cannot compete at the Pan Pacific Championships; etc.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yboy83 (talk) 15:40, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of multiple swimming medalist in international competitions. Ref for Ald. Ed Burke as LA Olympics flagbearer?
editHello. Thank you for your recent contribution to the article on Chicago Alderman Ed Burke. What is the reference for him as flagbearer at the LA Olympics? This is a relatively common name with many disambiguations on WP, including athletes. Did you perhaps edit the wrong Eddie? Thanks. Hugh (talk) 19:53, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

editHi, I've created Favola as a redirect, as there was a ship named Favola. I notice it is linked from your sandbox, so please feel free to turn the redirect into a dab page if that is appropriate. Mjroots (talk) 08:31, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
