Hi, yeah I added all of that with my monobook.js script. I changed some features from a few friends monobook code to make mine. Your welcome to copy it and edit it as you see fit. Who?¿? 01:17, 4 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Lost (Tabula Rasa)

edit

Nice edit of the POV comments on "Tabula Rasa." I went to this article on a whim after seeing part of the most recent episode, and my first thought was "Jeez, these Lost fans are worse encylopedists than the SpongeBob crowd." You have vindicated all Lost-fan Wikipedians. --Tysto 18:58, 14 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

England vs UK

edit

Hi. While I appreciate your edit to Snap-dragon (game), I linked to England and not the United Kingdom because the sources explicitly state that the game was not played outside England (that is, it's not a Scottish practice), so a UK link would be misleading. Cheers! Ziggurat 00:00, 19 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I didn't choose based upon aesthetics. I chose the 2005 one because of its placement (it was placed next to some text about modifications of the logo, while the other one was next to some text about Google's traffic). You're free to swap them, if you want to. Broken S 21:39, 3 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Soda water illegal in UK?

Edinburgh Airport

edit

Thanks about the heads up, had known about those flights for a while "on the quiet" as they say: http://www.taxiwayalpha.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2033! Yeah, the tower is built and is now operational - my photo of it was taken during the final few weeks of construction. Certainly is some structure. Thanks/wangi 15:46, 4 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your keep vote on the AfD: I encourage you to come to the arguement for undeletion and support the arguement, so that we can bring this article back legally, so to speak. (the arguement for deletion was simply that it has been deleted several times before, and therefore should again)--Aleron235 14:42, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

edit

hi, there is an organized campaign to save the above self-promotional vanity games-club page from deletion.... i'm wondering if you'd be willing to take a look and voice your opinion? normally i wouldnt care but (a) i hate organized campaigns from groups of users (especially when they have vested interests but dont declare them) and (b) when challenged about it, they suggested i try it myself! so here i am.... cheers! Natalinasmpf's Rfa

edit

Actually, I got that reasoning from Wikipedia:Requests for bureaucratship/Johnleemk, who lives fairly nearby to Natalina in Malaysia, so you can go blame him instead of like you did to me there. ;-) However, thank you for making the rfa a little interesting! The debating there will definately help serve as good practice for when she becomes an admin, which was pretty much going to happen since the very beginning. karmafist 02:15, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Marijuana and carnivore

edit

Hi, of course technically you're right about omnivores and carnivores, but a lot of people use "carnivore" informally to mean someone who isn't a vegetarian. As for marijuana, I think it should be legal because people should be free to make up their own minds about whether to use it or not. I don't use it myself, but I think it's absurd for someone to be treated like a criminal just for smoking pot. It really isn't more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco (neither of which I use either), and should not be subject to stricter laws than they are. Legalizing it would also take a lot of power out of the hands of organized crime, and remove a major source of income for people who deal in much worse drugs like cocaine and heroin. --Angr (t·c) 17:31, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

PIK

edit

Hi there, I noticed you edited PIK to add fullstops to the entries - disambig pages have a style guide (see MoS:DP), and generally lines are intended to be sentance fragments and not have a period at the end. Thanks/wangi 19:45, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

ICAO airport code

edit

Two things. First are you sure that the ICAO for Canada is "BC"? I think it's just "C" as BC would give 5 letter/number codes. Second I saw your edit summary about the table. I would suggest that you don't use Word to make tables. Look at List of heliports in Canada with the table and before table. Other than the data, the table took about 5 minutes to make. I just use Excel to hold the data (different types in seperate cells) and a good text editor with a proper search and replace (EditPadPro). It's a lot easier than Word. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:52, 9 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem. I just discovered that I've lost about 1/2 of the data I typed in for the 1400+ airports of Canada. I'll either have to start it again or copy it from the articles. Aghhh! CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 16:37, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Zwo

edit

I've since given it a couple sections, so I'm not sure it's a stub anymore. But maybe you could help put it in some relevant categories? I'm not to sure about categories - maybe "German language" and "language"? Thanks for the help. I'll be doing the very parallel "Julei" pretty soon.Adam Mathias 21:51, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Saw you added it. Thanks. I don't think we should add it to the category Germany, since German is not confined to Germany. And whatever category exists for Language/Linguistics, the category German Language is probably in it. I couldn't think of any cross-language umbrella term or anything else though similar to this phenomenon, besides the NATO phonetic alphabet thing.Adam Mathias 22:01, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, German language, if you follow it up, turns out to be a sub-category of languageS (note s), which is a sub-category of linguistics, so it's in both! No worries :). Adam Mathias 22:04, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'd imagine that it would have an upper case "T", keeping with other works of art. Every bit of information I've found about the 'phone on the Internet spells it with a capital "T" too ([ http://www.dali-gallery.com/html/galleries/object01.htm the Dali gallery], for instance). I hope this has enlightened you. - 15:55, 22 January 2006 (UTC) The Great Gavini a yet unpatented form of communication (Wikimunication?)

Bill Clinton

edit

Hiya,

Yup. I met Bill during his Irish visits. He is a very impressive man. When he talks to you he has a tendency to focus entirely on you in a way that suggests for that moment that you are the centre of his universe. And I experienced the famous Bill 'handshake' (or rather 'armshake'). His wife, I have to say, has the coldest hands I have ever touched. They were like icycles. She hasn't Bill's magnetism but is impressive in her own way. But Bill really is impressive. I thought the stories about when he walked into the room he just ozzed energy was myth, or linked to his office. But it is totally true and not linked to what he was but who he is. Seeing him energise a crowd was awesome. I've never seen someone do it so powerfully. I didn't agree with all his policies but was deeply impressed by him. Colleagues who met JFK said he had the same magnetism about him. The only other man I saw up close who could do as Bill does and had a strong force of personality was the late Pope John Paul II. He too, not for what he was but who he was just had that personal ability to electrify people. It is hard to describe it, but it is like an incredible personal energy, an ability to create a shared energy with those around them. FearÉIREANN \(caint) 00:00, 21 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mr C

edit

Hi. You wrote in an edit summary regarding Mr C:

case; always use a period when it's an abbreviation

Technically you may be correct, but we also use the name that is in common usage. He is often - I would say normally - known as "Mr C": Google -

  • "Mr C is probably most famous as the front man of The Shamen" (official site)
  • "Mr C is a legend"
  • "Mr C - Twat in a hat needs a slap"

I don't mind though, not least because you are technically correct but also because it forces me to sort out the issue regarding tenancy of the Mr. C page :-) --kingboyk 17:14, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
