Hello Kodos444. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kodos444. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kodos444|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bilby (talk) 20:54, 25 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am not being paid, either directly or indirectly for my edits. I also want to clarify that I made a couple of minor edits, before seeing this message. Kodos444 (talk) 23:50, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Your edits certain have the appearance of a paid editor, but I guess that could be accidental. The thing is, paid editing is not banned under the Terms of Use, but you are required to disclose paid editing when you engage in it as per the instructions above. I'm not going to push the issue, but if you make paid edits in the future, it would be best if you handled the disclosure requirements at the same time. - Bilby (talk) 10:31, 27 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
If you don't mind me asking, could you help me understand why shouldn't BVOP certification be added in the list? I saw that the website itself was blacklisted because of repeated spamming. What about the certification itself? Kodos444 (talk) 21:28, 27 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't know whether or not it is suitable for inclusion. - Bilby (talk) 02:28, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:35, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I want to point to my edits in Spanish Wikipedia to put things in perspective. You will see that my contributions are related to politics and the film industry, those are my interests, among other things, and they are motivated purely by the joy of contributing to collective knowledge.

This block, as I understand it, was triggered because of editing List of project management certifications. I responded politely and did not insist with editing.

Later, my edit of Kika Georgiou was moved to draft because of misusing several wikipedia accounts. Isn't there a log that proves which accounts were tied to my IP address? I am sure there was no editing from other accounts in this same IP address. Also, I am aware of the notability requirement. I added reputable sources like Esquire magazine which made an article dedicated entirely on this actress.

I politely request for this to be revised. Rest assured, I would be more careful in the future with my edits to not be notified again for something I did not do. Kodos444 (talk) 21:18, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

The request is unconvincing. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 03:16, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Note: This request is currently being processed by at least two administrators. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:49, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Kodos444, why you removed your profile from Upwork just after you were blocked? GSS💬 02:45, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
