Hello, a very very minor change you just made was a point of serious contention a few days ago. You might want to read this short thread. I undid your change to avoid confusion, please let us know what you think. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 15:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I will be on Wikibreak from this sunday until the following saturday. I'll be away on vacation. What needs to be done in the next day or two that I can complete. iMatthew200821:18, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I will. But I'll be on as much as I can be between now and when I leave. Also, I think that we should clear the active members list and re-start it (for WP:PW). So that we can have it updated. iMatthew200821:23, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well I went over it, I didn't see any other present tenses. Like what words did you see that signify present tense, and then I will correct them?TrUCo931122:28, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
He added the "Occasional Wrestlers" section before, then I reverted that edit, as I think it is unnecessary. He then reverted my edit back to his, after you warned him not to revert again. iMatthew200800:55, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was. Sorry if I didn't respond sooner, but I was trying to hide from the party and log into Wikipedia, but I was caught. Are you still working on the feuds for SummerSlam '04? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)16:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
OMG, I know, I was gonna mention it to you, but I didn't want to start problems and all. I guess "copy and paste" does work. ;) Luckily, he didn't copy and paste mine or your page to his. But whatever. Hey, I think adding the feud between Kane and Matt Hardy for SummerSlam is notable. Opinion? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)23:57, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, like he "helped". Anyways, according to Online World of Wrestling, the night after SummerSlam, Matt helped Edge retain the IC title against Kane and weeks later he tried to stop the wedding between Kane and Lita. Do you think it might work? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:06, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Its cool man. ;) I've been slacking too with the Rumble '97, SummerSlam and Vengeance '05. I guess we all have those days that we don't want to do anything. You know what I mean? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:42, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Does this make sense? ----> The feud between Edge and Kane seemingly came to an end, as Edge was put in an program with Matt Hardy. On the July 11 edition of Raw, Hardy made a surprising appearance, as interfered in a match between Edge and Kane. The following week, as both Edge and Lita were walking towards the ring, as Edge was scheduled to face Kane in a Steel Cage match, Hardy attacked Edge from behind. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)01:00, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, we took SummerSlam '04 from him and I took Unforgiven '03. He says he's going to create Backlash in his "sandbox", even though he created the article. If he doesn't finish it, I'll take it or do you want to take it? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)23:34, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Cool, then. Later in the day, I'll get to the Event for SummerSlam. Right now, I got to read a whole lot of stuff for Unforgiven, too many feuds, apparently. Hey, do you think when your done with the Rumble, you can help me with the Event for Unforgiven? That's when your done. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)23:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that. My computer crashed. OMG, he doesn't make sense. Why does he create the article and then put in back in the main page? OMG, he removed the "under construction" template from Unforgiven. Do you think you can talk to him? Anyways. Awesome, after I'm done with the feuds, I'll let you know. ;) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)01:36, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I know about the boxes. I've removed some, but, when I continue removing them, the table box (the boxes I created), seems to get messed up. Yeah, I've seen his page. Its cool, but I did like the other design. Do you like his page? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)03:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that, I was called in to work to fill-in a shift. Umm, I guess the Angle and Guerrero feud, since I've read that Angle "tried" to unlace Guerrero's boot at WMXX. That's it. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:01, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, I don't want you working on all the feuds, but if you give me some pointers for the Kane and Shane McMahon feud, then I'll take that. Is that cool? Oh, I guess this is TJ's "evil" side when it comes to things like that. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)02:36, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure if this is the right place to do so, but since you're an administrator (and since you're a friend), I was wondering if I could get the rollback feature. I'll probably continue to use Twinkle to fight vandalism (should that happen anytime soon; I feel rather laid back from editing Wikipedia right now), but I'd still like to see how the official rollback function feels, compared to Twinkle. Cheers, TheChronic06:45, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
While I understood why you blocked me, let me explain why I did what I did.
On the TNA roster page, all of the announcers, mangaers, occasionals, etc. are all divided up into their own groups, I was just trying to match it up with the WWE page so they're both uniform, that's all.
I probably went about it the wrong way, I took my punishment, and I'd like a chance to speak my peace cordially.
On the topic at hand, as I was saying, I was trying to match up the structure of the WWE roster page with that of TNA, where roles are more specifically defined, rather than everybody being thrown into a big schmozz under "other talent".
Yep and that was my honest opinion. One thing I forgot to mention, is try cutting down the "play by play" of each match, cuz I think the E&C/DB match is a wee bit to long. (IMO)--TrUCo931101:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Looks great. It's better, just one thing I have to tell you that Gavyn told me was that when we say thus winning the _____ he says its not grammatically correct as we are writing in past tense, so he said thus ___ won the ____.--TrUCo931121:53, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, LAX. I appreciate being recognized. :) You can also add me to the list of "users you're cool with" on your user page, if you like. I've never had a problem with you. WikiProject Articles for creation needs your help!
WikiProject Articles for creation has done a tremendous job in working at WP:AFC over the past 7½ months. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication! Together, we've made the submission process easier and more streamlined, developed tools to make the process go faster for reviewers, and cut the backlog down to a mere fraction of what it once was. Well done!
As you all are aware, however, our work is not quite yet done. The project still has 10 archive pages left to complete, which include over half a month's worth of submissions, many of which have not been completely reviewed. We need your help to finish looking over these neglected submissions so that we can finally remove the backlog notice from the page, and put an end to the more than two year old backlog that has been a thorn in our side for ages! Participants will receive an AFC Barnstar, so hurry up and help out while there's still work to be done! Make sure to sign in on the WikiProject's talk page so we know who is involved in what promises to be our final effort to complete this goal. Thank you for all your help!
- Happy editing as always,Hersfold(t/a/c)16:26, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
You are receiving this letter because you are listed as a participant in the Articles for creation WikiProject at WP:WPAFC. To avoid receiving further notices, please remove your name from the list. Thanks!

Yep, he just copied and pasted it. He even kept in the userboxes saying he is 21 and from New York (even though he says he is 13 and from Australia). I have asked him to change it, and left a message at WP:USERPAGE asking what I should do if he refuses (some of those are service awards, he had nothing to do with getting Wii up to FA status). Its no problem at all. I happen to enjoy working on the feuds more than anything. Like I've said, your a busy individual, just like me, who forgets one task and works on another. Don't worry, we will make sure that Backlash gets finished. :) ZenlaxTCS21:07, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

There was once a floundering user. He had a friend. That friend would stick with him, until the end. The floundering user decided to retire. And his friend, though brokenhearted, moved on. In fact that friend would surprise me and become an admin. That friend became a even more respected user. With all his other friends, he formed the "Kliq", a rag-tag group of users who buddied up, and improved professional wrestling articles. Meanwhile, the retiree constantly checked up, and found that he missed his friends. He found that vandalizing their user pages during his final days was a bitter end. As time passed, he really desired that camaradrie gain. He didn't think it was possible for them to like him again. then again, he thought his life getting straightened up was impossible. Boy was that thought wrong. After much pondering, he made the decision to return. Yes he had claimed that he'd retired forever, but Terry Funk claims that all the time. He's still wrestling. And that floundering user smiled, and said, "What if I returned, better than ever? What if I came back and improved everything?" Using that thought, he did what no one ever thought he would do. Come back. With my coming back here, I know you guys will do one of two things: 1. Welcome back! Sure you can be my friend again, just don't pull that shit again, ok? 2. Why did you come back, faggot? We never liked you in the first place! You don't deserve to be here, be gone! And never, EVER come back again! I have a hunch you will do #1. Here's hoping my feeling is correct. And please remember, I am hotter and spiceier than the curry man can ever DREAM of being. Well, sayonarra. And please choose #1. Because if you choose #2, I'll come back anyways. Things are THAT good for me right now. Tech43 (talk) 06:16, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I read the Manual of Style, and the sources you guys used, really made me happy. I routinely visit some sites like Onlineworldofwrestling.com. I love some of those sites, and that will make me very comfortable. I also wondered, when was the Raw steel cage match between Eugene and Triple H in 2004? Because you guys might want to add that in the aftermath of SummerSlam (2004) if you haven't done so already. Tech43 (talk) 20:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Anything but the aftermath. I bought the Wrestlemania Anthology 2 months ago, and I watched it 3 times. I think the event needs a little work. So does the Background. Tech43 (talk) 21:05, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, I meant that a little more info needs to be put. For instance, Pro Wrestling Illustrated voted the ladder match beteween the Dudleyz, Hardyz, and Edge & Christian, Match of the year. I also feel that background info, like Big Bossman introducing Bull Buchanan needs to be put in as well. These are all suggetsions, and until the work begins, fusses by me shall NOT be tolerated. In fact, I'm low blowing myself now! Ok, I'm joking, but still, they're suggestions, nothing more, nothing less. And I use too many commas:)!(,) Tech43 (talk) 07:21, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Both Truco and Myself believe that we should quietly remove S-Pac from "The Kliq". He has not done anything yet, and we believe he might be one of those users who only comes on every so-often. Please read the discussions on mine and Truco's talk pages. What do you think? iMatthew200820:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Go for it. I got the Shane and Kane feud, we both had the Triple H and Goldberg feud and you have the HBK and Orton feud. Which has made us even. Do you think we can get it to GA status? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:39, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok, and what should we do with the S-Pac situation. Blue said she is neutral about it. Truco, me and you say we should let him go, and Zenlax hasn't responded. iMatthew200800:55, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think he should be blocked, since he doesn't listen to the warnings. Anyways, I won't copy and paste Survivor Series '03 into Unforgiven. I only brought it up, since I was a little bored yesterday. But, I will try to summarize it and see how it turns out. And its cool with Bad Blood and stuff. ;) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)22:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Its cool. ;) As long as you fixed something yesterday, its fine. I would like to apologize for making you work on the feud. Since, I was "suppose" to work on it. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)23:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Kliq member. I owe you one. Okay, Matt is going to work on the Event for Unforgiven, which gives you the last part for the Shane and Kane feud, which leaves me for the Aftermath, in which I'll finish. I think we might finish Unforgiven.... today. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)23:22, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright. So, in 6 months can I "endorse" you? Anyways, yeah it made sense. I guess that will jump out the window. Umm, yeah it makes sense of Shane's return. Are you willing to go by "SexyLAX"? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:19, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
You got it. You know I always have your back, Kliq member. ;) Question: Does this make sense? ---> On the October 20 edition of RAW, Co-General ManagerEric Bischoff proposed that he and Co-General Manager Steve Austin face off at Survivor Series in a "Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match", to determine the future of RAW. The stipulation of the match was that if Austin's team defeated Bischoff's was that Austin could no longer have to be physically provoked before assaulting a RAW Superstar; if Bischoff’s team, however, are victorious, Austin must resign his position as Co-General Manager. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)02:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Royal Rumble (2005) and Over the Edge (1998) have been listed for Peer review. Please review this article and make suggestions for how it can be improved in preparation for a Good article nomination. Their peer reviews can be found here and here.
Ron Killings is still being reported as having signed a WWE contract. As there is no reliable source for anything of the sort, be prepared for his name to be continually added to the WWE Roster article, and information about his return being added to his article. There is also, apparently, an audio interview with Killings where he states he will be returning to WWE with his old K-Kwik gimmick. Recent SmackDown! Taping spoilers indicate that he debuted under the name Kwik Killings in a Dark match. No reliable source has reported this as of now, however.

Absolutely. One thing, though; at WrestleMania XX, Benoit defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels (at the event, Triple H was the champion, not Michaels, so I would re-arrange the sentence) I would fix that, but that's entirely up to you. I think mentioning the fact that Triple H was drafted to SmackDown! and brought back to RAW would play a good part in the background. All I've said, is basically it. ZenlaxTCS20:20, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Foley and Orton feud came to an end at Backlash. But, Orton did engage himself in a feud with Shelton Benjamin. The Edge and Kane feud, also came to an end. But, I think I might get something with the Kane and Chris Benoit feud. What report would you like to work on for Bad Blood? ZenlaxTCS21:02, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, if you can give the Michaels and Triple H feud, I'll let you work on whatever background you want. I think we should give Blue the event and I have no problem with the aftermath. Also, does User:Max85 qualify for a AIV? ZenlaxTCS21:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, thank you. But, I just wanted to know if you can replace the light orange color with medium sea green. That's, if you can. ZenlaxTCS19:37, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The "Useful links". I think you should work on the Kane and Benoit feud. The Orton and Shelton feud, I think, we should give to Blue. So, we can all we even with the report. Unless, you want to work on both feuds. ZenlaxTCS21:20, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good to me. Please do inform Blue on the split of the article. Thank you for taking the time to fix the problem on my userpage. ZenlaxTCS21:24, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
My decision to never become an admin has a long story behind it. My first RfA I failed due to inexperience, as I was only three months and 2800 edits into my career. My second, they didn't like how I handled disputes, and they took a question I asked on the RfA talk page the wrong way. Like most admins at the time, they weren't open to correction by anyone with less than 10,000 edits, so they refused to acknowledge they took it the wrong way, and summarily voted no. In preparation for the third, I discovered a few things. Number one, Wikipedia doesn't use a real system of consensus; rather, it uses some warped knock-off and isn't open to the real system of Consensus decision-making. Number two, admins who call a spade a spade are hauled off to the arbitration committee and summarily crucified unless the admin is skilled enough to discredit his opposition, bend the arb com over, and give them a firm and kinky spanking for even taking the RfAr. Number three, I had hit the catch-22 point Moe Epsilon hit where I have been in too many disputes for their liking, and the longer I stay the more I'll be in. So, I discovered exactly where I am was the perfect place for me all along. I have the liberty of being able to call people what they are, and I don't have to deal with the non-functional bureaucracy unless I choose to. I am also free to take on as many disputes as I want without having a target on my back. I don't have to fear getting hauled off to ANI any time I rub someone the wrong way, which I usually do the first time the person meets me in a dispute. I'm tempted to run, just because I know I'll probably get so much votestacking from the project I'll pass, but all-in-all the tools don't appeal to me anymore. I have them on some Wikias, and I don't think the tools are worth it. It isn't the Godmode I used to think it was; rather, the sacrificed liberty means admins are less free than everyone else. I'm perfectly content to use admins like you as my slave ;)
Anyway, I haven't been up to much. I've done some RC Patrolling, and I'm getting ready for some stuff coming up in real life; some fun, some not so fun. Out of curiosity, are you thinking of running for BCrat someday? I know it's a bit early for that, but I'm just curious. Later mi hermano, SexySeaBass22:16, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, like I said, long story. Anyway, I do hope that you make BCrat someday. It's been a while since I've been in the more advanced stages of sockpuppeteer crushing, but if things are at all like they were this time last year, we need some more good BCrats, as they're usually the CheckUsers.. Its alright. I was going to inform both you and Blue if we can post-pone Bad Blood, as I too want to finish Backlash and I made a promise to you that I would finish the article. I do notice that at Backlash, Chris Jericho defeated Christian and Trish Stratus in a Handicap match, which was transcend to Bad Blood, where Jericho faced Stratus' and Christian's enforcer, Tyson Tomko. Would that work in the aftermath? ZenlaxTCS21:17, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well the only way is too restore my edits, and you then do the copy editing (in your perspective) on the HHH/RKO feud, is that ok?--TrUCo931104:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
NiciVampireHeart has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!

What do you think of this:
I think that we should invite D.M.N. and bulletproof to return for one final PPV project with the Kliq. If they agree for one more, then all seven past and present members will work on this project. With seven people working on it, we could easily make this article (whatever is chose), a future GA, or even FA. Just an idea, especially to let D.M.N. and bulletproof know that we're still thinking of them. iMatthew200814:00, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
He is, but I have his e-mail address and he is still answering questions n his interview. I can try to convince him to return for 1 final project with The Kliq. If he declines, we can still ask D.M.N. iMatthew200814:05, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure yet. We should ask Blue, Truco, and Zenlax though before we pick a PPV and invite D.M.N. and bulletproof. If the three of them agree, then we can invite D.M.N. and bulletproof, then pick the PPV. Right? iMatthew200814:10, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please help Nici and I explain the importance of not taking ownership of articles to User:LindsieandLance. The user tried to get Nici to stop editing Lance Cade. I'm not sure if their comments on mine and Nici's talk pages are considered personal attacks or not. iMatthew200816:19, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

He keeps re-adding Royal Rumble 2004 to his page. I am the only one working on expanding this article. I left him a civil message, and if he refuses to remove it, I will have to myself, again. iMatthew200823:01, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I know, I am asking him nicely to please let me do this by myself, because I am trying to gain the experience of writing a PPV by myself, and he won't give in. iMatthew200823:03, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about the dates, but the first two sentences had the full date and the others didn't. One thing, though. There's a whole lot of WWE.com refs., can I replace some of them? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)01:37, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I guess that's fine. Since, I took to long to log in. SummerSlam, looks fine, but the Cena and Orton feud seems a little off; its just one thing, After the match, Orton came out and attacked Cena, RKOing him through a Steel chair., I think it should say that Orton attacked Cena, which led to Orton hitting an RKO on Cena through a Steel chair. You feel me? -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)02:13, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sure, I don't mind. I would like to apologize for not working on Unforgiven. If you want, we can work on SummerSlam or Unforgiven '06, if you want to work on Unforgiven and later work on Unforgiven '03. Is that cool or... -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)03:25, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that. Needed to clear some stuff up. Um, I guess you can do that. I left a message and they didn't reply until Unforgiven was under review. I'll keep my fingers crossed so SS can pass. ;) -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:13, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, IDK cause I gave my word to Matt that he could've nominated it. But, he wants me to do it. So... I guess I'll do it whenever you nominate SummerSlam. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:16, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'll do the same. Um, yeah. I'm working on the Aftermath, do you mind fixing whatever needs to be fixed? Don't get the Aftermath, I don't want an "edit conflict" -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)00:36, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, if I remove Unforgiven now, just imagine how long it will take to get the review. I'll leave it. I'll work on it and stuff. Yes, you can hate for not obeying the PW rules. -- ThinkBlue (HitBLUE)01:51, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I added the note to the yokozuna box because the very way it is set up, it suggests that one yokozuna succeeds the previous, which is not the case. I did this to all the the yokozunas' articles, not just the ones that became K1 wrestlers. FourTildes (talk) 23:06, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

im not doing anything to the Royal Rumble 2004, you said that matt keeps asking not for me to do it, but im not doing anything to that pay-per view, since he wants to do it on his own, im letting him doing that and you've still havent answered my question. Cimmo (talk) 23:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
ill have to give you Credit for your userpage and your talk page aswell you know what your doing Cheers im giving you heaps of Credit. Cimmo (talk) 23:38, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the advise! I just want to make sure it's looks good, since it's the first background I've ever written. I'll get on that change right now. And your welcome for the congrats! iMatthew200813:36, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! So I recommend we work on Unforgiven 05 and SummerSlam 07 today, so that by later on tonight, we might be able to get them nominated for GA. iMatthew200813:48, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yep! Taking the easy way again, I know! LOL, no. I took it because I can actually remeber what at it, so I figured that could only be an advantage to me! ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 13:59, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I'm gonna finish the King Of The Ring build up (which shows the feuds for half the matches), and I think I might mention the Taker/Khali one as well. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 14:05, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yea, pretty great. The big problem (and it's not even that big ;D) was wikilinking The Great American Bash everytime it appeared in the background section. I fixed that for you, though! You might need a citation for the secondary tagline though, "The Party Is Over", there isn't one in the article at the moment. Let ya know more when I finish. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 15:16, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree actually. It looks good, and once you do the main event you'll be all set. All the references are good, so I wouldn't anticipate any major problems with it. The only thing I want to do is put the references in numerical order, they're not in it in a couple of places, but after that it's good to go IMO. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 15:34, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you leave WP:PW a message saying that SummerSlam 07 and Unforgiven 05 are going to be nominated soon. A lot of users like us to notify them first, so that they can make any necessary changes. iMatthew200819:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Today's been a pretty slow day. You were like, the only one online, and Nici. Truco was on for a while, but then disappeared. iMatthew200823:15, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
So have I. Once everyone puts in their nominations, we can cut down the list to like 5 PPV's to vote from. If this is going to be D.M.N. and bulletproof's last PPV with us, I want it to be the perfect PPV. iMatthew200801:07, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Im sorry for not replying to the comment about the SummerSlam main event, which SS is it? Since its not in your sandbox anymore.--TrUCo-X02:34, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, either way it reads great. Also can you look over No Way Out (2007) me and Nikki did major clean up on it, as I also pulled it from GAN, but will nominate it again later this week.--TrUCo-X02:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I didn't realize that article didn't exist. (One Big Show's article). Btw, just wondering..how many articles are in your watchlist? iMatthew200823:33, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did you sit there are manually add all of those articles to your watchlist, or did you have a bot do it, or some other way. Also, the next round of voting is up at The Kliq's page. iMatthew200823:50, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you ever find time, please try to explain it, if you can. I would greatly appreciate it. (If you do, it's not something I need immediately). iMatthew200800:36, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I COULD!!!?? I don't know how to do that, but if you could explain it, I would appreciate it! iMatthew2008 00:43, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Pay attention tonight on Raw. User:Steelerfan-94 is attending, and plans to hold up a DX-Green sign that says "Hey Matt and Kevin." (Kevin obviously being Truco). He thinks he is sitting in section 6 or 7. iMatthew200800:47, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
There are currently 3,647 Good Articles listed at WP:GA.
The backlog at Good Article Nominations is 185 unreviewed articles. Out of 237 total nominations, 42 are on hold, and 10 are under review. Please go to WP:GAN and review an article or three as soon as you have a chance!
The top five categories with the largest backlogs are: Sports and recreation (39 articles), Theatre, film, and drama (34 articles), Transport (23 articles), Music (21 articles), Politics and government (18 articles), Culture and society (13 articles), Places (13 articles), and World history (12 articles).
If every participant of WikiProject Good Articles could review just one article in the next week, the backlog would be almost eliminated!
GA Sweeps Update
Two members joined the sweeps team this month. They are Jwanders and jackyd101. Jwanders swept Physics sub-category quickly and is now sweeping "Astronomy and astrophysics". Meanwhile, jackyd101 is sweeping "Armies, military units and legal issues".
During February, 66 Good Articles were reviewed. Including those articles that were under GAR or on hold, 33 were kept as GA, 21 delisted, 17 currently on hold or at GAR, and 1 was exempted as they are now Featured Articles.
Reviewer of the Month
Blnguyen is the GAN Reviewer of the Month for February, based on the assessments made by Epbr123 on the number and thoroughness of the reviews made by individual reviewers each week. Blnguyen is from South Australia and has been editing Wikipedia since 2005. He was also the reviewer for the month of December 2007, so this marks the second time that he has been GAN's Top Reviewer for the Month. In this issue, we will focus on one of the requirements for good articles: a good article article should follow Wikipedia's guideline on lead sections. So what does this guideline say, why does it say what it does, and how can good article reviewers help?
The lead section is particularly important, because for many readers, it is the only part of the article which they will read. For instance, they may have come to the article by following a wikilink in another article simply to obtain a quick overview before they continue reading the original article. They may only read the first paragraph, or even the first sentence. On the other hand, one of the joys of Wikipedia is the way that it embodies the endlessly branching tree of knowledge; if a lead is well written, it may encourage even such a reader to read on and learn something new.
This is reflected in the terminology: "lead" is a word taken from journalism, where it recognized that many readers will only read the beginning of a newspaper article, and so it is important to convey the key points first, before going into detail. Note that "lead", in this sense, is pronounced as in "leading question" and is sometimes spelled as "lede" by journalists to distinguish it from lead, the metal, which was once very important in typesetting. Wikipedia supports both spellings.
Wikipedia:Lead section is written with all this in mind, and describes two different roles for the lead: first, it should introduce the topic; second it should summarize the article. This is not always as easy as it seems; indeed, it is almost impossible to write a good lead if the article itself does not cover the topic well. It has a side benefit that an article which satisfies this guideline is probably also broad: if the lead is both a good introduction and a summary, then the article probably covers the main points.
The good article process is often the first place in which an article is judged against this criterion, yet many current good articles may not meet it. A common fault is that the lead is purely an introduction, while the rest of the article contains other information, which should be summarized in the lead, but isn't.
So, how can reviewers help to improve this? One approach is to read the rest of the article, and not the lead, first. Make a note of the significant points discussed in the article. There is usually at least one important issue in each section. Then, go back to the lead and ask the following questions:
Does the first sentence of the lead define the topic, as described in the article?
Is the most important information mentioned in the first paragraph?
Is the lead a suitable length for the article? The lead guideline recommends 2–4 paragraphs depending on the article length, but judgment is more important than counting.
Are each of the significant topics that you noted mentioned in the lead?
If the answer to each of these questions is "yes", then the article probably meets the guideline. If not, you may be able to fix it yourself by summarizing the article. If you can't, then it suggests that there are not only problems with the lead, but also the rest of the article. That is the beauty of Wikipedia:Lead section.
Finally, there isn't universal agreement on whether the lead should contain inline citations. As long as the material in the lead is developed and cited elsewhere in the article, then inline citation is not required. There are exceptions, the most significant being quotations and controversial material about living persons.
Good luck helping more articles meet this important criterion!
From the Editors
Well, this is somewhat GA-related but at the same time not totally GA-related. However, I think this is important. Thanks to everyone who supported me at my 2nd RfA. It passed unanimously at 79 support, 0 oppose, 0 neutral. As many are impressed by my work in Good Articles processes, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone giving me a very enjoyable time at GA. There are 2 people that I want to explicitly say thank you to. They are Nehrams2020 and Epbr123. They patiently taught me how to do GA reviews properly in summer 2007. I couldn't achieve better without them. Now that I have the mop and the bucket, some of my time will be working on reducing Commons image backlog. Nevertheless, you will still see me once in a while in matters related to GA.
