This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Draft:Ivy Street School, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mabcommunity.org/ivy-street-school.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Your username

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Mabcommunity", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87". Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 15:43, 11 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I had originally made the username Development at Mabcommunity because that is exactly what I am, a development employee at Mab Community Services. My intention is to make a non-publicity Wikipedia page for MAB Community Services because it is a real and extremely legitimate organization and it deserves to be on Wikipedia and on the internet so that the public can learn about it's history, it's programs, and it's contributions to society. As the leading center for adult disability services and low vision specialists I don't understand why the Wikipedia page and my account keep getting blocked when you barely have given me a chance to edit my pages accordingly. I didn't realize in the beginning that what I was doing would be considered publicity and am completely willing to change anything necessary to be able to create a Wikipedia page. I had also already changed my username before thinking this one was allowed and didn't realize it would lead to me being blocked without even a notice or a chance to change it which I think is unfair. I am willing to do whatever it takes to follow the rules for Wikipedia but I need my account in order to do that and I would be very grateful if I could be given it back. Thank you, Holly

Decline reason:

Nothing wronng with the username, and I'd be willing to remove the block to allow you to change it if that were the only reason you'd been blocked. However, it appears that you have not read the block message immediately above - you will not be allowed to write about MAB Community Services, under any username (and not only because your previous attempts were both unsuitably promotional and against Wikipedia's copyright policy - there is nothing to suggest that the organisation meets Wikipedia's inclusion requirements, so we wouldn't host an article on it anyway). If your only goal here is to write about them, therefore, then there is no reason to unblock you as you would be wasting your time. If, however, you would like to edit in other areas of Wikipedia, please indicate (in a new unblock request) what you would like to work on instead. Yunshui  08:08, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock-spamun|HollyHayes93|This is in response to the previous administrative review of my request to be unblocked. The response from the administrator was that Mab Community Services did not meet the inclusion requirements and went against the copyright policy and was promotional. However, after getting the notification about the copyright we added everything that was needed for our material to be used on Wikipedia to our websites so that we weren't going against the copyright policy and I've been in the process of finding all the necessary sources so saying that we didn't meet the inclusion requirements isn't completely true I just hadn't put them up yet and was still in the process of editing the page, because to my knowledge, I was allowed to edit the page whenever I wanted and was not informed that they could block my page at any time without notice. I'm confused as to how I would never be able to post anything about MAB Community Services ever if I do have everything necessary and it doesn't go against the copyright laws, I just never had the chance to make the necessary edits because I was blocked. Thanks.}}
