Thanks
Thanks for saying congrats. Admins work according to policies and WP:AGF, so don't worry, I won't and practically can't ban you XD --Deryck C. 01:31, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: Can you help me?
I saw you patrolling the RC and I want to do the same. I already have Vandal Fighter 3.5 and VoA Revert tool. But the revert tool is appending the phrase "TWINKLE" to my edit summaries. How can I stop it from adding that? Or, if you have better tools, please recommend them to me. Thanks. - Microtony 09:55, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I don't use the Twinkle script (which VoA's Revert tool has now been merged with, hence the message), so you'll have to speak to AzaToth to get a definitive answer, but I think if you replace this:
TwinkleConfig = { addAdToSummary:false, }
with this:
TwinkleConfig = { summaryAd:"", deletionSummaryAd:"" };
- to your monobook.js page, and then bypass your browser cache (press CTRL+F5 on most browsers), the extra phrase should be gone. If it's not working already, that is. Hope this helps – Qxz 10:08, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
The "TWINKLE" is quite a proprietary function of the twinkle script. Of course you can speak to the author of the script for more. I don't use it, so I mightn't be able to provide much information. Maybe as twinkle becomes more stable, its functions can also come in greater variety. --Deryck C. 13:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Voting on picture
Microtony: I recently ran across your contributions when you made an edit to E=mc2. I have a picture being voted on as a Featured Picture Candidate (here). The picture appears in context here and here. Hardly anyone is voting and I'm in need of more “support” votes. If you can, would you mind? Greg L 02:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm not too sure if I would consider that vandalism. I would agree with this edit; however the content he was removing arguably failed WP:NPOV anyways. His user name alone I would contest whether it's appropriate. Regards, Tuxide 06:56, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. HeywoodJablowmy (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) already brought it up on the talk page prior to making his edits. I went ahead and labeled the article as {{cleanup}} and {{npov}} although I'm not too big of a fan of articles about non-notable high schools. Especially those in Omaha, after the Skutt Catholic High School lawsuit. Regards, Tuxide 07:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Your Popup vandal reverter is not working properly
Thanks for notifying me. I noticed it too and try to use popups as scarcely as I can while I use IE6 (they work properly with Firefox which I can't use where I am right now) and use the undo button instead. But sometimes, I choose to save some time when I deal with a vandal who has made several disruptive edits in a row. I'm sorry if I wasted your time, I will try to check User talk:Lupin#Getting "revision $1 dated $2 by $3" to see if the problem hasn't been solved yet. Cheers - Myanw 15:24, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
3RR On Salsa
Hi, Microtony. I'm confused. You left a message on my talk page (Otheus) concerning the 3RR rule. Though you said it was a courtesy, is it the case that (a) I don't understand the 3rr rule as it applies to vandalism, or (b) you don't understand...., or (c) you failed to notice that I rv'd vandalism, or (d) you disagreed with what I thought was obviously vandalism, or (e) you were are aware of all the above and were just giving me a friendly, AGF-warning. --Otheus 00:23, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for noticing WS114AUT
Thank you for reverting the vandalism on my username page. I appreciate your fast response. MrMacMan 02:43, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yup I saw the block notice too. Your report did the job and I thank you. :D MrMacMan 02:48, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
BV Tag
The blatant vandal tag is a level 3 warning; I believe it says so at the bottom on the tag, after substitution. --Haemo 03:12, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

protection against vandalism
Hi, Could you let me know what the policy is on applying a {{vprotected}} tag to a page that is under repeated vandalism? Do regular users need to request an administrator to perform this action? Regards Stu Hacking talk 11:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. Also, I realise diamond is not a metal, this comment was the resulting abuse from a reversion I did quite some time ago (and as far as I know it's not acceptable to remove comments from ones own talk page). If only users would sign there comments with ~~~~ :-) Cheers Stu Hacking talk 11:32, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Electronic libretto reverts, etc

Seeking support for keeping reverted text on Ellie Caulkins Opera House
You may recall, back in February, that Usertalk:62.85.192.81 continually reverted my inclusion of significant text about the Electronic libretto system on that article and you came to my support by reverting his/her removals yourself.
Eventually, due to reverts by three or four editors, a consensus was eastablished that this text was valuable, and he/she stopped.
Would you please go to the Ellie Caulkins article and add your support for my position once again? Same person doing the same thing.....

WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hagaren logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Hagaren logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File source problem with File:Microtony defcon-0.png
Thank you for uploading File:Microtony defcon-0.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged.
