Default first check number for other countries?
editIf you don't mind my asking, what country are you from? What is the default number for the first check in a checking account in your country? PrimeFan 20:59, 9 May 2006 (UTC) P.S. Please write your user page at your earliest convenience.
- Hi PrimeFan. I'm from the UK. Here my chequebook starts 100001 (I forget how many zeros there are). If you have a second book on the same account (for example, you have a joint account), it is numbered 200001 and so on. Mnbf9rca 16:39, 10 May 2006 (UTC) p.s. I've made a concious decision not to create a user page, as I didn't think most people would be interested in anything I would have to say there, but perhaps you're right!
- Ah, very interesting. Perhaps it's always a number of the form 10^n + 1 for single accounts anywhere on the world. I can't remember the check numbers from long ago when my wife and I had a joint account. In any case, here the banks are really trying to get everyone to use "online bill pay" rather than checks, but I'm old-fashioned like that. PrimeFan 20:53, 10 May 2006 (UTC) P.S. It's still good to have a user page even if it just has a couple of lines, in part it's for the benefit of recent changes patrollers. PrimeFan 20:53, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Proposed Deletion
editI've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article NATO helmet, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:NATO helmet. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
