Hello, welcome to my talk page!

If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom, as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~

Attention: I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. If you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page—my talk page—as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist and topic subscriptions to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.

Thank you!

Thanks for finishing clean-up

Thanks for beating me to the clean-up of Mask. I'd reverted the first edit conservatively and was adding a user message after looking at the user's history… --Zigger «º» 09:56, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redirects

edit

You've created a bunch of redirects to non-existent articles. Are the articles to be created soon? --Molotron (talk) 12:51, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I have done a mountain of Wiki work recently. Can you give me an example and I'll explain what I've done and why. Regards. Bermicourt (talk) 12:55, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Examples: Bahnhof Zwiesel, Bahnhof Traunstein, Bahnhof Schwandorf and a whole bunch of others. Redirects that go nowhere. Molotron (talk) 12:59, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay I'm with you. I'm translating a list of railway stations from German Wikipedia. Railway station in German is 'Bahnhof' and occurs frequently. It's also used in English. So it makes sense for an article like "München Ost railway station" to have a redirect from "Bahnhof München Ost". So I was setting up the redirects for all those links. That's fine if the English article already exists; but you're right to note that isn't always the case. And no I'm not planning to add those articles yet, although others might. So I'm now translating the links within the main list, which avoids the need for redirects if the link doesn't exist yet. I'll delete the redirects in those cases. Bear with me! Righto. --Molotron (talk) 13:18, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
